Cheryl Cole Celebrates Birthday In Las Vegas

Cheryl Cole celebrated her birthday in style in Sin City, Las Vegas.

The newly turned 29 year-old was joined by pals including bandmates Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and manager Will.

The ‘Call My Name’ singer tweeted, “Erm… few questions!! Who am I? Where am I?? Why am I?? What am I?” after a night of drinking. She also thanked her friends via Twitter saying: “Best birthday gift EVER.. !! Thank you .. I love you sooo much !! #Youknowmesowell !!!!”

The girls spent their night doing shots while partying at XS nightclub, where will.i.am was playing a DJ set. The Black Eyed Peas front man later tweeted a photo of the pair after his set.

We recenlty reported about Cheryl Cole opening up about her private life. She told BBC Newsbeat: “Everybody else has a job and gets to go home for the weekend or switch off after work. Mine? It’s being me. It can sometimes be a hard thing to do.” She also spoke about her upcoming UK solo tour but joked her manager Will.I.Am will also want a centre stage part.

She laughed: “He’ll be really annoying, have lots of opinions and probably wants to put himself flying down onto the stage somehow at some point to join us on there.”

Chery Cole Opens Up About Her Private Life & Finding Will.i.am ‘Loveable’

Cheryl Cole wishes she could ‘switch off’, put her public persona away, and keep her private life away from the headlines.

The ‘Call My Name’ singer finds it difficult being in the public eye because she never gets any time to relax, and wishes she could keep her private life to herself. However, this is no easy task, and Cheryl admits she finds it ‘almost impossible’ to keep her public and private life separate.

She told BBC Newsbeat: “Everybody else has a job and gets to go home for the weekend or switch off after work. Mine? It’s being me. It can sometimes be a hard thing to do.”

Cheryl is all set to embark on her own solo tour of the UK in November, but joked that while she is headlining, her manager - Black Eyed Peas singer Will.i.am - will want a centre stage part.

She laughed: “He’ll be really annoying, have lots of opinions and probably wants to put himself flying down onto the stage somehow at some point to join us on there.”

However, Cheryl never gets upset with Will.i.am and his crazy ideas, even if he can sometimes be difficult to get hold of.

She said: “He takes time to answer his phone. He takes a long time to answer his email. I never get annoyed with him though, he’s too loveable.”

Singer Cheryl Cole has been speaking to GQ magazine and revealing a few secrets.

Cheryl, who recently confirmed a Girls Aloud reunion, admitted: ‘I’d love kids. I’m obsessed with babies. I know that is what I was put on Earth to do – to be a mother.’

And she said she has a soft spot for Prince Harry, who she thinks is amazing, and added: ‘Me and his dad are as thick as thieves and I knew Harry before I knew his dad so we’ve met a few times.’ However, she said she would be worried about being dubbed a ‘cougar’ if she dated him - even though at 28, she is only a year older than the young Royal.

She said: ‘He’s cool. Although, I think I would be Cougarville in that relationship. I would be in Cougarville.’

Cheryl is set to release her new single Screw You next month, and, contrary to reports, has insisted it’s not about her ex-husband, Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole. She also said it is not about her former X Factor boss Simon Cowell, who unceremoniously dumped her from the US version of the show last spring.

She said the song is not ‘autobiographical’ and added: ‘It could be directed at whoever you want it to be directed at.’

Cheryl also always has a friend in musician and The Voice coach Will.i.am, who today came out in support of her and said he was glad that she had turned her back on the X Factor. Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Will, who collaborated with Cheryl on her hits Heartbreaker and 3 Words, said being a judge was a ‘waste of talent’.

He added: ‘Cheryl is a great artist and a great performer and I think the world needs that. Music is what got us here. If you’re not singing any more or writing songs then you’ve abandoned your base. Cheryl Cole to me is not Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton.’

Jessie J impressed with The Voice
Jessie J impressed with The Voice

British singer Jessie J has revealed how she has been impressed with the process of the television series The Voice since experiencing the whole set up first hand. Jessie J claims that The Voice is good for television, as it focuses solely on the vocals rather than appearances.

Jessie J explained, “Comparison has become so trendy, but I think this show stands by itself. I think other shows are great, but this is the one that I wanted to be part of. It’s about vocals, it’s about music, it’s about talent, it’s about The Voice. It says it in the title.”

She added, “I think Britain’s Got Talent is wonderful, I think The X Factor is wonderful, but I think this TV show is something that television needs.” Jessie J then discussed the possibility of collaborating with her fellow The Voice coaches in the future, claiming that there is one in particular that she would love to work with.

Jessie J continued, “Defos. Tom Jones, Jessie J. We’re going to be in the studio one day. That might even be a lyric in the song.” Maybe a four way collaboration of Jessie J, Tom Jones, will.i.am and Danny O’Donoghue could be on the cards?

The Voice is set to premiere on BBC One on Saturday, March 24 at 7pm.

The Voice host Reggie Yates gives his rundown on will.i.am, Tom Jones, Jessie J and Danny O’Donoghue

DJ Reggie Yates is set to co host the UK version of the hit reality television singing competition The Voice and he has given his views on each one of the judging panel. The Voice judging panel consists of will.i.am, Tom Jones, Jessie J and Danny O’Donoghue and Reggie admits that they are all unique in their own way.

Yates then revealed the oddness of Jessie J, “Jessie J has the weirdest warm-up exercises,” he said, before finally moving on to Danny O’Donoghue, “and everyone falls in love with Danny,” explained Reggie.

Reggie Yates then went on to reveal how Jessie J is always crying but he was more surprised to see one of the other judges also crying a lot. Reggie revealed, “Jessie cries a lot. But, surprisingly, Will has cried as many times.” Jessie J is not so surprising but we never had will.i.am down as much of a crier

Singer Jessie J has revealed how she left a few of the contestants, on the new BBC One reality singing competition The Voice, in tears. However, Jessie claims that it is not a bad thing, as it helps the contestants realise where they are going wrong.

Jessie J explained, “I have made people cry. But crying is good. Crying is good. Not in a sad way, not in a ‘cry now’ way. It just shows to them that it isn’t a walk in the park now. 25,000 people auditioned for this show and now you’re in the final 40, you have to work hard.”

She added, “People have come from small towns where their friends and families have always told them how good they are, but now they’re standing in front of me, someone who is all about breathing, technique and vocals.”

Jessie J continued, “They can be a bit overwhelmed and end up crying, but the next day they come back and say thanks for the tough love.” Jessie J is joined by will.i.am, Tom Jones and Danny O’Donoghue as coaches on the UK version of The Voice.

will.i.am praises fellow The Voice judge Tom Jones

Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am is set to appear on the UK version of the hit reality singing competition The Voice, alongside Welsh legend Tom Jones and will.i.am has been discussing how honoured he is to be working with Tom.

will.i.am i am explained, “We started with a music industry being one thing where it was truly about the song, the performance, the voice. You didn’t know if the singer was short, black, white, fat or skinny. Tom Jones was a part of that. He was a part of music when it was about going on the Ed Sullivan Show and American Bandstand.”

He added, “He was a part of that. He witnessed the American music industry when it was feuding black and white. He saw two cultures come together. That’s why I’m proud to work on a show with Tom. He worked through the ’70s and ’80s. And then MTV was born. He’s lived in the ’90s when people could sell two million CDs in a week.”

will.i.am continued, “He’s now living in the ’00s when people hear music on their phones and every detail about this show can be shared in split seconds online.” The Voice is set to premiere on BBC One on Saturday March 24.
The Voice’s Tom Jones slams The X Factor
The Voice’s Tom Jones slams The X Factor

Welsh singing legend Tom Jones has slammed the ITV reality singing competition The X Factor, claiming that the judges on the show are not really qualified to give their opinions or advice to wannabe singers. Tom also admitted that the sob stories that The X Factor promote takes away from the actual talent of the singers.

Jones explained, “Some of their judges aren’t even singers and wouldn’t be able to sing a note, so what do they know? Every time I see one of these shows I think half the decisions are wrong and it really frustrates me. Some of the judges don’t have the experience to be on talent shows - if you’ve only been in the industry two minutes, how can you offer advice?”

He added, “I have the experience and I listen to all sorts of music, so the advice I give will be valuable. I got fed up with shows like X Factor and thought I better do one myself because the judging has been questionable. A singing contest should be about someone’s voice - not PR spin. I’m genuinely excited about The Voice - it’s exciting, competitive and compelling television because it’s all about talent.”

You can see Tom Jones as one of the mentors, along with Jessie J, will.i.am and Danny O’Donoghue, on the British version of The Voice, which is expected to premiere on BBC One on Saturday, March 24.

Cher Lloyd talks will.i.am duet failure and Cheryl Cole silence
Former X Factor contestant Cher Lloyd has revealed that she is not really that bothered at the fact that, Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am decided to pull his duet with her from Cher’s debut album. Will.i.am made the decision due to the treatment of Cheryl Cole by Simon Cowell.

It seems a bit unfair on 18 year old Lloyd but she claims that the removal of the duet does not affect her in the slightest. Cher explained, “Do you know what? I don’t know the full details about that unfortunately. And do you know what? I’m not even that fussed about it, and I’m not afraid to say I’m not fussed about it.” She then added, “It was really good, but some things happen for a reason. Maybe it just weren’t meant to be.”

Cher also confessed that she has not spoken to her X Factor mentor, Cheryl Cole since the show and does not expect to hear from her anytime soon. Lloyd continued, “I didn’t have her mobile number to begin with. I’ve got more chance of winning the lottery than catching up with her.” Cher Lloyd released her debut single ‘Swagger Jagger’ yesterday and her debut album is expected later in the year.
