Kristen Stewart & Charlize Theron attend Snow White and the Hunstman premiere with new Dad Chris Hemsworth
Kristen Stewart & Charlize Theron attend Snow White and the Hunstman premiere with new Dad Chris Hemsworth

As the evil Queen Ravenna, Charlize Theron envies her young rival’s beauty in new movie Snow White and the Hunstman, but the beautiful actress had no need to feel jealous of Kristen Stewart as the pair walked the red carpet at the highly-anticipated film’s world premiere.

The actresses both chose smouldering gothic glamour looks in sheer black gowns as London’s Leicester Square was transformed into a fairytale enchanted forest for the event. Kristen, 22, wore a black lace gown from Marchesa’s Fall 2012 collection with her hair swept up in a bun. In trademark fashion, Kristen arrived at the event in her favourite pair of Converse, before quickly switching into heels behind a bush before facing the fans and cameras.

Charlize, 36, looked gorgeous in her Christian Dior Couture creation. The sheer tulle design also put the stunning star’s legs on display as she worked the red carpet.

Kristen and Charlize greeted each other with a big hug, and later posed for pictures with Chris Hemsworth, who plays The Hunstman in the big budget film. Avenges star Chris became a father this week when his wife Elsa Pataky gave birth to their baby girl, India, on Friday.

The actor looked surprisingly well rested despite juggling caring for his wife and newborn daughter, who was born in a London hospital, and promotional duties for the film this week.

Armie Hammer reveals acting sacrifices

Mirror Mirror actor Armie Hammer, who is set to play Prince Alcott in the upcoming, Tarsem Singh directed, Snow White movie, has revealed how he had to give up being rich to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. Armie’s father is Michael Armand Hammer, the owner of Knoedler Publishing and film and television company Armand Hammer Productions.

Hammer explained to Chicago Sun-Times, “That’s because when I decided to do this and decided to get into it, I had to give up one of those things that you mentioned, which was being rich. It was a very difficult decision for my parents to accept, for me to drop out of high school to start acting.

He added, “They thought, ‘You’re dropping out of high school? No Hammer man has even dropped out of college without getting an MBA or a PhD’, or this and that. They wanted me to go to Columbia. That was the goal.”

Armie continued, “‘You’re going to go to Columbia! There’s a building there!’ ‘No, I’m really not. Sorry. I’m glad that works for you but I’ve got to do this’.”

Mirror Mirror is out now in the US and is released in the UK on April 2.
Lily Collins discusses Mirror Mirror costumes
Lily Collins discusses Mirror Mirror costumes

Mirror Mirror actress Lily Collins, who plays Snow White in the upcoming Tarsem Singh directed movie, has given a little insight into what went into her costumes in the film. Lily admitted to Just Jared that she spent a lot of time getting ready in the mornings and became very close with the person who had to help her dress.

Collins explained, “It’s funny, some took 20-25 minutes to get into. We had it down to an art though at the end of it. Total corsets every day, I had someone help me get dressed every morning, her and I became really close. We would use that time as relaxing time, even though it was time that I was being strapped in. Just the two of us would be getting ready and no one could rush me.”

She added, “I had to run, sword fight, wrestle, do all these sort of crazy things in these outfits so they became sort of a second skin by the end of it. I knew how to manoeuvre myself around. By the end of shooting I would just collapse on the floor or have a stool put under me to sit down. By the end of everything I knew how it all worked out.”

Lily continued, “I never fell once while running in the heals and the dresses, which I am really proud of. I’m the kind of person who falls going up the stairs, so I was really surprised I never did.”

Mirror Mirror is released in the US today and will be released in the UK on April 2.
Tarsem Singh persuaded Julia Roberts to do Mirror Mirror
Tarsem Singh persuaded Julia Roberts to do Mirror Mirror

Julia Roberts is set to appear on the big screen later this year as the Evil Queen, in the Tarsem Singh directed Snow White movie, Mirror Mirror. Julia has admitted that she was not initially won over by the idea but then Tarsem managed to persuade her to take the role.

Roberts explained, “The one-sentence pitch on the phone, ‘Hey, they’re doing a Snow White adaptation,’ didn’t grab my attention. Then Tarsem lured me in his luring way, and, after looking at the script, I realized there was really something there.”

Lily Collins then added, “It was an absolute honour for (Roberts) to even touch my hair. To be in scenes with somebody you grow up admiring was really something. Her character was being so mean, but all I wanted to do was smile and giggle, because I was so happy.”

Before Julia concluded, “It was fun to play this villain, because there aren’t real rules of syntax or reality that apply to her. I could do anything, and just go off the rails in any direction at any time, and it would make sense to me. Without naming names, I drew from a couple of people I know better than I wish I did, and found it very fun and helpful.”

Mirror Mirror is set to be released on March 30 in the US and April 2 in the UK.
Kristen Stewart discusses Snow White stunts
Kristen Stewart discusses Snow White stunts

Snow White and the Huntsman actress Kristen Stewart has revealed how she had to face a few of her fears, while filming the Rupert Sanders movie. Kristen had a horse riding accident when she was a young girl, so found the horse riding element of Snow White and the Huntsman quite difficult to deal with.

Stewart explained, “I got to jump off cliffs and ride horses, and that terrifies me. I was really, really not happy about having to do all that [horseback riding]. I don’t like that - I hate that. I fell off a horse once and hurt myself really badly. I broke and dislocated my elbow when I was, like, 9.”

She then went on to admit that she has a lot of admiration for her character Snow White in the upcoming movie Snow White and the Huntsman, claiming that she can relate to what Snow White is feeling in many ways.

Kristen added, “My favourite thing about [Snow White] is that she’s endowed with so much and there’s so much inside her. It’s like she’s brimming. She doesn’t always necessarily know why. I can - in so many different parts of my life - relate to that and love that about her. So it was cool to have that all behind kicking the s**t out of someone.”

Snow White and the Huntsman is released on June 1 in both the US and the UK.

Lily Collins is set to appear on the big screen in a few weeks time, as Snow White in the Tarsem Singh movie Mirror Mirror and the young actress has been praising her Mirror Mirror co-stars. Lily claims that Armie Hammer is perfect for the role of Prince Charming, while Julia Roberts was great at being evil.

Collins explained, “Armie, yeah, he is perfect for the role. He’s so charming but he’s also very witty.” Lily then went on to discuss Julia Roberts performance as the evil Queen in the movie.

She added, “Let’s just say that, in between takes she apologises a lot to me a couple of times, which was really funny. The way that she plays evil, is a way in which you’re not sure whether you should love her or hate her.”

Snow White actress Lily Collins has talked about the scenes in the forthcoming movie Mirror Mirror, where she had to have a fight with her co star Armie Hammer. Lily admitted that they had to do a lot of training and preparation for the fight scenes, as they did the whole sequence themselves.

Collins explained, “I had to train four or five hours a day with the stunt team for like three months before and during the movie. Armie and I have a big sword-fighting sequence, which is 150 moves, and we did the entire thing ourselves for the camera.”

She added, “We never practised together until a few days prior to the scene and that made it much more real when we came to do it for the camera. I was bruised quite a lot by the end but I got really into it. It works really well on screen.”

Lily continued, “We shot the scene on fake snow, which was in fact 40 tons of salt, so that, and with our costumes, there was a lot of falling over and laughing.” Armie Hammer recently praised his Snow White co star Lily Collins.

She added, “The sets and costumes, the colours, it’s like stepping into a snow-globe. Tarsem [Singh, the director] has done such an amazing job. It’s not dark at all; it’s pure fun and magic.” Lily Collins was recently praised by her Snow White co star Armie Hammer.

Hammer added, “I got in like five or six good licks. She smelled of apple cinnamon man! More than anything, I told myself, ‘As you’re licking her do not let drool come out of your mouth. You drool on this woman in this scene, you’re fired. You might as well go home!”

Lily Collins is set to hit the big screen later this year in the role of Snow White, in the Tarsem Singh directed movie Mirror Mirror. Then, just a couple of months later, Kristen Stewart is set to appear on the big screen as the same character, in the Rupert Sanders directed movie Snow White and the Huntsman and people have been trying to make a rivalry between the two, which Lily claims is just not there.

Collins explained, “We’ve laughed about the fact that people think we’re rivals because to us they’re so different. I think the advertising is kind of genius because both films are being shown in this different way because they are such different stories.”

She added, “I’ve seen the trailers, I’m very aware of the other one. We’ve always been aware of each other and I’m excited to see what Kristen does. I’m excited for her and vice versa.”

Kristen Stewart reveals Snow White’s born leadership

Snow White and the Huntsman actress Kristen Stewart has revealed how her character Snow White is a born leader, who has all the qualities of a great leader running through her veins. Kristen also admitted that Snow White is more than capable of looking after herself.

Stewart explained, “[She’s] a born leader. I mean, it’s literally pumping through those veins, but it’s been taken from her. She was put away when she was seven years old and her mother and her father were killed basically right in front of her.”

She added, “And we’re not doing the version of a fairytale that wouldn’t deal with all of those things, where you just sort of skim over all those things. It’s like all of these things are actually really important to the characters.”

Kristen continue, “She bleeds for her land and her people, and that’s just such a cool concept for me because it’s other people caring about people. I mean, she’s strong. She can kick ass. I think she genuinely lacks that innate fear of death that we all have. She’s got serious, fierce survival, not skills but insights. But she isn’t afraid of anything.”
