Keira Knightley Spotted Hand In Hand With Maroon 5’s Adam Levine

Keira Knightley strolls the streets of New York city hand-in-hand with Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine.

The English actress, 27, who in real life became engaged to musician James Righton last month, is shooting scenes for her new movie, Can a Song Save Your Life? Adam, 33, plays Keira’s love interest in the music-themed romantic drama.

The Pirates of the Carribean actress looked every inch the loved up young woman, dressed casually but stylishly in a knee-length pale blue-and-beige striped dress and leather sandals.

Adam - who plays a struggling rocker in the movie - wore a low-key grey T-shirt, dark jeans and a long-sleeved check shirt which covered his famously tattooed arms.

Can a Song Save Your Life? sees Keira’s character Gretta arrive in New York with her long-term boyfriend (Adam Levine) with the aim of pursuing a musical career.

She is left crestfallen when her beau embarks on what looks likely to be a successful solo career without her, but meets and is discovered by producer Dan (Mark Ruffalo) while singing in a bar on an open mic night.

The movie looks set to be a hit and has just announced another high-profile attachment, with hit musician Cee Lo who will join the cast playing a successful hip-hop star.

Keira, meanwhile, has had a particularly hectic schedule of late. Just last week she hit the red carpet in Los Angeles for the premiere of her new film with Steve Carell, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World. The movie has not been favourably received, either critically or at the box office.

Her next project after the music movie will be Untouched, a take on the mysterious wedding night incident between Victorian artist Josh Ruskin and Effie Gray that led to their divorce and her relationship with Ruskin’s protégé, John Everett Millais.

It was a busy day for heartthrob Adam, who left the set of the movie to jump on stage dressed all in white with his band to perform on NBC’s Today show.

Adam’s band, Maroon 5, have just released their fourth album, Overexposed, which finds the act back in the spotlight a decade after its debut album, Songs About Jane.

Last year’s stand-alone single Moves Like Jagger featured Christina Aguilera and stayed at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 for a month. Overexposed’s lead single Payphone is now in the top five.

Hollywood star Keira Knightley is engaged to her rockstar lover James Righton, her spokesperson confirmed on Saturday.

And according to the Klaxons keyboard player’s father, the couple are “over the moon”. Talking to the Stratford Herald, Mr Righton said that the pair are “a truly lovely couple. You can tell with some people if they’re made for each other and these two definitely are”.

He also spoke of how down to earth they manage to remain despite the glitz and glamour their jobs can bring with them.

“I would say that despite all the glamour around them they are a couple in their late twenties who treasure traditional family values. Keira has stayed here in Stratford and we all get along fine. It’s like one big, happy family and I’m delighted for them.”

London-born star Keira, 27, started dating 28-year-old James 15 months ago after being introduced by mutual friend Alexa Chung.

Keira recently spoke about what type of person she is, saying: “I’m an artistic type; I’m temperamental, so does that mean I can go quite deep? Yes, of course it does. But I’ve never been married, so that’s a whole different level.”

Keira then went on to discuss what type of an actress she is, saying: “I’m not a Method actress. Yet you can always draw parallels of what people tell you. Empathy is the main thing, putting yourself in somebody else’s shoes and trying not to judge. A little bit of personal experience is sprinkled in there, but mostly it’s imagination.”

Lord of the Rings actor Viggo Mortensen stars in the movie A Dangerous Method as Sigmund Freud but it is a role that he initially turned down. Viggo admitted that he was unavailable at the time but then when he was asked again, he was still a little hesitant. However, his previous work with director David Cronenberg persuaded him to give it a go.

Mortensen explained, “When he was first trying to set the film up he did come to me, but I was unavailable at the time. But I was a bit surprised - I didn’t picture myself playing Sigmund Freud at any age. So, it gave me something to think about. Then it came around again the following year when Christoph Waltz, who was then going to do the part, decided he wanted to do another movie instead - Water for Elephants, I guess it was… I said, I could do it but I hesitated a little.

He added, “But being that it was David, I trusted him, and I’ve had great experiences working with him before and I know the importance he puts on casting. So, I thought, well, he must have very good reasons for it.” A Dangerous Method also stars Michael Fassbender and Keira Knightley and is set to be released in the UK on February 10.

English actress Keira Knightley has revealed how she wanted to perfect her role, in the David Cronenberg movie A Dangerous Method, so much that she spent days sat in her bathroom, perfecting her sex face. Keira also discussed the spanking aspect of the movie, claiming that she did not want to do it but realised that it was important to the movie.

Knightley explained, “It was a huge part of what Sabina was doing a lot of the time. So I asked psychoanalysts about it and they said, ‘Sex and anything like that is trying to release energy, trying to release pent-up emotion’. So I worked with that and sat in my bathroom and pulled faces at myself for about two days, trying to figure out what it was going to be. Then I got on Skype with David and went, ‘I’ve come up with this’, or, ‘I’ve come up with this’, and he went, ‘That one!’”

She said of the spanking scenes, “I went, ‘I love you, I love it, but I really don’t know if I want to do that. I’m really not sure about it’. And he went, ‘Well, I think it would be a tragedy if you didn’t do the part because of that so if you want them out then we just won’t shoot them or we’ll find a way that will make you comfortable doing it’. I realised they were integral to the piece, that it was really important to see them and show that within the study of that relationship.”

English actress Keira Knightley has revealed how she almost missed out on her role in the David Cronenberg movie A Dangerous Method. Keira claims that she was a bit worried about the scenes where she is topless and gets spanked and raised her concerns to the director, who admitted that he was willing to remove the scenes from the movie.

Knightley explained, “When I first read it I loved the script and really wanted to play the character, but I didn’t want to do those scenes, and I phoned David Cronenberg and said I was going to have to turn the role down. He said he really wanted me to play the part so he would take the scenes out but I said, ‘Whoa!’ because I knew they were incredibly important to the story.”

She added, “He said he didn’t want the scenes to be sexy or voyeuristic; he wanted them to be clinical and a complete exploration of what she was feeling. So we kind of came to an agreement with Michael Fassbender as well because he had questions about the scenes, too. I wanted it to be as shocking as possible without going over the top.” A Dangerous Method is set to be released on February 10.

Lord of the Rings actor Viggo Mortensen has revealed that he will be forever grateful for being given the part of Aragorn in the hit Peter Jackson movies, as they sent his career into overdrive. Viggo admitted that he was surprised that the Lord of the Rings franchise became so huge but that in doing so, it certainly made him a worldwide superstar.

Mortensen explained, “That series was a stroke of luck for everyone involved. Anyone who says they knew it would be the hit it became is not being honest. The fact that it did so well helped everyone involved to get more opportunities for work. Obviously I wouldn’t have gotten to do A History of Violence if I hadn’t been someone that was bankable and somewhat of a name. You do need to get lucky, no matter how talented you are.”

Lord of the Rings actor Viggo Mortensen has revealed how he once went to see a therapist back in his early twenties and admitted that he found it very helpful. Viggo, who plays Sigmund Freud in A Dangerous Method, also claims that he believes that everybody should attend a therapist at some point, as it is a great way to deal with your inner demons.

Mortensen explained, “I only had one experience when I was about 24. I went for a short time. For me, it was helpful. I think it’s a great idea - the idea that you can go and confess everything, your deepest fears, your insecurities, your strangest thoughts to someone and know that it won’t go any farther than that room. If you don’t find some way to discuss or recognise what’s going on inside you, it can come out in other ways that are self-destructive.” Viggo then discussed Sigmund Freud’s personality.

He added, “He was very engaging and very funny, also sometimes quite self-deprecating. He was the sort of person who tells you a joke, and it might be quite subtle and not everyone would get he was telling a joke. He did enjoy silly humour. He was also an admirer of Mark Twain. The two met, and they smoked cigars and cracked jokes.” A Dangerous Method, which also stars Michael Fassbender and Keira Knightley, is set to be released in the UK on February 10.

English actress, Keira Knightley has revealed that she agreed to sign up to work with Steve Carell, on the comedy Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, because she was becoming drained by the constant stream of dark movies she has recently been involved in. Keira also admitted that, if the right character came along, she would love to be involved in a romantic comedy.

Knightley explained, “I did do a comedy over the summer, because I thought, ‘Jesus, this is just going from dark to darker to darkest, I need to lighten up a bit.’ I told a friend, ‘Don’t worry, it’s much lighter,’ and then when she asked me what it’s about, I had to say, well, the end of the world! Maybe the apocalypse is as light as I can go right now.”

At number 15 is Mrs Coleen Rooney. The original WAG has made an impressive £8,240,000 this year, adding to her and her footballer husbands huge fortune.

At number 14 is popstar Mika, real name Michael Holbrook Penniman, Jr, who earned £8,420,000 off of the back of his music success.

And it’s another male musician at number 13, with Arctic Monkey’s Alex Turner making a cool £9,070,000.

Singer Joss Stone from Devon raked in an admirable £9,290,000, putting her at number 12, but being rich is something which Joss feels uneasy about. The singer has said: “The idea that you have all this money just gives people another reason to hate you” in reference to her recent kidnap scare.

Next, at number 11, another lady - Emily Blunt. The Devil Wears Prada star went up several places on last year with £9,933,000

Recently divorced Charlotte Church just scraped into the top ten, having brought in £9,670,000.

Face from the past Craig David managed to make number 9, despite not having released any new material for years, still dining out on the success of his early noughties career. The singer still managed to rake in £9,670,000 this year.

Singer Katie Melua made it into double figures earning £10,760,000 this year, making her number 8 on the list.

Cheryl Cole was the list’s biggest mover, jumping to seventh place, with an estimate fortune of £11.4million. Despite being unceremonially sacked from The X Factor USA, Cole’s earnings were bumped up by her deals with cosmetic giant L’Oreal and de Grisogno jewellery.

She still did a lot better compared to her Girls Aloud bandmates, the highest of which was Kimberley Walsh at 24 with only £5.3m, half as much as Cheryl.

X Factor winner, Leona Lewis, has made it big in America, bringing her up to £13,260,000 and earning her sixth place.

The least wealthy of the three big Harry Potter stars, Rupert Grint, still managed to bring in £21,720,000 which puts him at number 5, followed swiftly by co-star Emma Watson who, with her fashion endorsements, earned a whopping £23,910,000.

Moving into the top 3 now with Robert Pattinson. The 25 year old Twilight heart-throb made £24,910,000 from his film career this year.

Pirates of the Carribean star, Keira Knightley, came very close to the top spot with £30,870,000 in earnings this year from her acting work and endorsement deals.

Harry Potter himself made a staggering £51,750,000 at the age of only 22, making him the richest and one of the youngest on the list. Daniel Radcliffe enters the rich list at number 1.

British actress Keira Knightley has revealed that her life changed in such a big way during the Pirates of the Caribbean movies that she would never leave her house. Keira does however admit that the attention around her has died down a bit now, allowing her to do everyday things.

Knightley explained, “At the time of the Pirates movies I had a crazy time where very simple things were very difficult. I had about 20 guys standing on my doorstep, so going to the grocery store became incredibly difficult. I just didn’t go out. When it gets to that point it’s not safe to go out and it just becomes impossible.”

She added, “Since then I’ve been doing different films and life in general has become much easier, so I can walk through the lobby of a hotel now.” Keira Knightley can next be seen on the big screen alongside Viggo Mortensen and Michael Fassbender in A Dangerous Method, which is released on November 23.
