Jon Voight discusses Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s wedding and whether they’ll have more children

Jon Voight has been discussing daughter, Angelina Jolie, and partner Brad Pitt's wedding, and says he believes she has enough children.

The Hollywood actress has six children with fiancé Brad, and Jon says that he doesn’t see the couple expanding their brood any time soon.

“I love kids,” he told RadarOnline. “[But] I don’t think so… six is quite a group, you know!”

The actor is glad he has reconciled with his daughter so he can be close to his grandchildren. The two had a falling out in 2002 after Jon said Angelina should get help because she has “serious mental problems”. They ended their estrangement in 2010 with the help of Brad.

“I think because parents are with them on a daily basis they may not see the changes as dramatic as a grandparent does, but they live through every change,” Jon said of watching his grandchildren grow up. “You don’t see them for a little while and then they have different growth spurts and develop different enthusiasms and you hear them talking.”

The 73-year-old star is over the moon about the announcement of his daughter’s engagement to Brad. He told Us Weekly they are yet to make any plans as they are just enjoying the excitement of the proposal. “It was very nice I thought,” he said of the happy news. “If they’re going to have a wedding - it’s wonderful. Of course, they’re the parents of six kids. They’ve been that way for a while. They haven’t given me any insight into [the wedding]. I can’t really trust what people say and so I have to get it from Angie.”

Angelina Jolie discusses her nutty past

Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie is known for having quite a wild past but seems to have finally settled down to a calm family life with her partner Brad Pitt and their children. Angelina dabbled with drugs in her younger years and even had quite a troubled relationship with her father Jon Voight, who was not part of her life for many years. Angelina has now admitted that she was a bit nutty but calmed down once she learned the value of life.

Jolie explained, “I was just being a young girl who was experimental, bold and a bit nutty. I was absolutely self-destructive. I think a lot of young people in this business lose their way. You don’t know what is of value. You don’t know where you are. And you know something’s wrong, because it isn’t life as it actually is. It’s like living in some warped reality.”

She added, “Once I started to learn about the world and I became grateful for everything that I certainly have. Since going through my first war zone, never have I woken up and not been simply grateful.” Angelina Jolie is set to release her directorial debut feature film In the Land of Blood and Honey on December 23.

Angelina Jolie has long since had a turbulent relationship with her Father, actor Jon Voight. Now, Jon has spoken out about why he’s ended the years of silence with formerly estranged daughter Angelina. With Brad Pitt as an instigator, the Hollywood father-daughter pair reunited last year in Venice, then again in Paris, while Jolie was filming “The Tourist”.

Both have said very little about their reunioin, which began in 2001 when Voight made a television appearance voicing concern that his daughter had “serious mental problems.” And in February of this past year, Jon, who is a longtime Israel supporter, expressed that he hoped his daughter would travel with him to the country, saying “That would be a nice thing before I go.”

In a change to the usual silence, John has offered a bit more information about their relationship to the Daily Mail, citing a great love for his daughter’s six children. He gushed to the paper: “I suddenly saw things differently and everything shifted. That one moment changed my whole life. It gave me back my daughter and my family. Being reunited with my Angie is very precious to me. I adore my grandchildren, they are my great love. It makes me so emotional and grateful.”
