Mad Men Star January Jones Horrified By Fat Betty

Mad Men star January Jones has admitted that she reacted badly to seeing herself in a fat suit.

The actress had to wear a rather heavy fat suit to simulate weight gain for the fifth season of the AMC drama, Mad Men.

“I paused [the show] and went screaming into the other room,” January told The Hollywood Reporter. “[But then] I got used to it.”

She went on to praise the ‘fat Betty’ storyline, insisting that it was the best way to deal with her real-life pregnancy: “I didn’t want to try to hide [the pregnancy] - I thought it would become comical and weird,” she explained.

“And I also didn’t want to have the character become pregnant because it just wouldn’t make sense. It was definitely difficult, but I love what [creator Matthew Weiner] did with the character’s story.”

January will submit herself as a supporting rather than leading actress for this year’s Emmy Awards, reflecting Betty’s reduced role in the latest season.

January has recently been discussing what it’s like being a working Mum in her industry, telling US Weekly: “I was back when the baby was only six or seven weeks old, so it was difficult. It was difficult to be a working mum and just juggling all of that.” January then went on to admit that everybody involved with Mad Men made things very easy for her.

“They made it baby friendly for me, because I’m the first female on set to have a baby so I got to bring him. He had his own room and I was able to work around it because I was nursing.”

Mad Men airs on Tuesday nights at 9pm on Sky Atlantic. It airs in the US on Sundays on AMC.

Imogen Thomas talks weight loss, diet and being fat

Former Big Brother beauty Imogen Thomas has revealed how she has some serious issues when it comes to her weight. The Welsh wonder has a figure that many women would die for but she insists that she is not happy with it and even claimed that she often feels fat and is on a constant binge diet.

Thomas explained, “People think I’m confident with my body, but I’m not. I’m pushing a size 12, which I know isn’t fat, but it’s more about how I feel about it. I think I’ve got fat hips and I’ve never really been happy with my body. I’ve become obsessed. People say I’m silly for complaining about my body, but they’re not in my head.”
She added, “I posted a photo on Twitter of me in my underwear, saying I’d gained weight over Christmas and couldn’t wait to lose it. Boy, did I get slated! Everyone said I was attention-seeking and sending out the wrong message to young girls because I already had a slim figure. I didn’t mean to upset anyone and I apologise if I made anyone angry. I know I’ve got body issues.”
Imogen concluded, “I take them to heart and it affects my relationships. Nearly all my boyfriends have told me to stop obsessing about my weight, but I can’t help it. I feel like I’ve been on a diet all my life. People say I’ve got a great body, but I’m stuck in binge-diet hell.” Imogen Thomas has become a regular hate figure, with people often being rude and offencive towards her on her Twitter page.

Miley is currently dating Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth. The actor recently spoke out about their relationship saying: ”I like to put things on the table. I like when other people do that as well - you don’t really get anywhere if you keep it all bottled up. You need to talk about it.”
