Paramedics treated actress Lindsay Lohan after she was found unresponsive in her hotel room yesterday evening.
TMZ and other major outlets including Sky News and Huffington Post alleged that medical help was called after Lindsay could not be woken after two full days without sleep.
Sources told the site: “Lindsay had been shooting almost non-stop — without sleep — for 2 days and was staying at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Marina del Rey to get some sleep. She has been shooting parts of her movie near the hotel.”
Reports had suggested she was taken to hospital, but these have now been denied by her rep. A statement published by celeb blogger Perez Hilton reads: “Lindsay worked a grueling schedule the past few days. She was on set last night at 7pm and worked through the night until 8am this morning.”
The statement continued: “She took a nap before shooting her final scene. Producers were concerned when she did not come out of her room and called paramedics as a precaution. Lindsay was examined and is fine, but did suffer some exhaustion and dehydration. Lindsay was never taken to a hospital; reports to the contrary are false. She is resting now and is hoping to be back on set later this afternoon.”
Lindsay’s personal life has been a constant media fixture for almost a decade now, and the troubled star has has been in rehab several times, and has even been behind bars.
But she has been determined to turn her life around recently, with a role as Elizabeth Taylor in Liz & Dick and a guest hosting stint on Saturday Night Live.
We hope Lindsay makes a speedy recovery.
