Jennifer Ellison talks diet, exercise and weight loss

Dancing On Ice contestant Jennifer Ellison has revealed how she intends to stay in tip top shape, even when she has finished her spell on the reality television show. Jennifer put on weight during her pregnancy but thanks to a healthy balanced diet and good exercise regime, she has managed to lose weight.

Ellison explained, “I’ve gained muscle and do feel more toned, especially around my legs and bum. My body is in the best shape it has ever been but, if I fell pregnant, I’d make sure I do the exercises and keep it off.”
 
However, Jennifer Ellison did admit that there would be one thing that she is definitely looking forward to when she is finished with Dancing On Ice, seeing more of her husband. She added, “I’m hardly seeing my husband to be honest.”
 
Jennifer Ellison impressed the judges on Dancing On Ice last week and she is edging ever nearer to making it into the final. Yet Jennifer still has her work cut out and there is still a long way to go and, with any reality television show, you just never know what is going to happen.

The Amazing Spider-Man actress Emma Stone has revealed how she was put through a rather intense exercise regime by a trainer, while filming the latest adaptation of the comic book superhero. However, Emma admits that, since filming on the movie finished, she has let her diet slip and has gained a few pounds.

Stone explained, “I had a trainer during Spider-Man and I discovered I have deep-seated rage when I’m holding heavy weights over my head. Whatever dormant anger I have in me, that’s where it comes out. That’s not the kind of working out I want to do. I would much rather sleep at night than want to throw a weight across a room at someone. I’m usually a pretty peaceful person, but for some reason when I get in the gym something bubbles up in me.”
 
She added, “I do have that thing of, ‘Oh my God, I’m disgusting! I ate a huge Wagamama lunch, the whole yaki soba, and I feel so fat’. But I’m still going to eat that stuff, and you know what? You can get nice, loose clothes that cover it all up. I’m not going to go parading around in a bikini. OK, I did that in a photo shoot once, but it’s about what you’re comfortable with at the time you’re comfortable with it. That was a good day, but you won’t hear me saying I have no body issues because I wouldn’t be human if I didn’t”

Former winner of the ITV reality singing competition, The X Factor, Alexandra Burke has revealed how she has managed to lose weight and drop a dress size, after deciding to get herself on a diet and exercise more. Alexandra admitted that she made the decision to lose weight, after seeing Myleene Klass looking so good back in December of last year, encouraging her to get herself in shape.

Burke explained, “The first time I met Simon [Cowell] I was 16 and he asked to see my passport because he thought I was 25. I’m young and I want to show how much fun I can have. I started working out on 7 January. I saw pictures of Myleene Klass in Barbados over Christmas and I was like, ‘Oh my God! How is she looking that good?’ So I started doing loads of classes at the gym.”
 
She added, “I was a size 10, but now I’m an 8-10 and my arms, legs and bum have lifted. I genuinely feel great now.” It was recently reported that Alexandra Burke has been dating Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermaine Defoe but, as of yet, neither of them have confirmed or denied the romantic link.

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has revealed how she went through a period of being very unhealthy, following the divorce from her husband Tony Parker back in November 2010. Eva caught Tony cheating on her with a British model and it sent her on a downward spiral, resulting in her losing so much weight that she simply did not look healthy, even though he loved ones tried to tell her otherwise.

Longoria explained, “I remember after my divorce, I was so thin and everyone kept saying how great I looked. It was probably the most unhealthy place I’ve ever been. So it was funny what people would see as healthy. In my worst time, people were saying I’ve never looked better.” Eva has since changed her diet and exercise routines to get back to her best.
 
She added, “But now I have a great diet and exercise routine. I like weight training and abs. I hate the elliptical. I despise cardio. I just can’t do it. So I try to do my cardio within the workout.” Eva Longoria has not had any contact with her ex husband since they divorced, although she does insist that she does not hold any bitter feelings towards him any longer.

You’d think a tour with skimpy outfits would be enough motivation to keep trim, but Britney Spears has confessed she finds it tough to get motivated to work out.

The mother-of-two revealed a serious weakness for chocolate but admitted that she struggles to work out on a regular basis, telling Stylist magazine: “Trying to get up and go work out in the morning [is hard]. I haven’t worked out in, like, two weeks. Sometimes it’s hard to be motivated. But once you get up and do it you feel like you’ve conquered the world.”
 
Britney has struggle with her weight, even before she had her first son Sean Preston in 2005, and has received her fair share of criticism as a result. The Toxic singer also confessed she has a sweet tongue, raving about chocolate and sweet treats that she can’t get enough of: ”Chocolate. Definitely chocolate,” she said. “I love Scores, with the caramel in the middle, and every once in a while if I’m really hungry then a Snickers bar is good. And M&Ms are great, Hershey’s Whoppers are great, Raisinettes… Twixes are great, too. And the new Hershey’s Cookies & Cream.”

Cheryl caught malaria while on holiday in Tanzania with American dancer Derek Hough in June 2010, who she had a short romance with. The Girls Aloud singer is now single after a brief reconciliation with her former husband, footballer Ashley Cole, 30. 
 
During recover, doctors ordered Cheryl to stop exercising and put on weight, and the svelte star – who was given just 24 hours to live at one point – had no choice but to obey them to beat the illness. “I just ate everything” she said. And it looks as though it’s certainly paid off, with the star looking in better shape than ever.

The actress recently came second in Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 Women 2011 poll, but admitted to RadarOnline that she “literally hates” working out and would rather play computer games than go running or climb a mountain. She revealed: “It seems weird but I drink. I drink when I work out. I literally hate working out.” 

Olivia has previously blasted shows such as America’s Next Top Model for pressuring women into dieting. We can’t help thinking a sensible diet is healthier than drunken exercising!

Kelly Rowland’s has become a household name in the UK since The X Factor went live last month, and she has talked about how she has a constant craving for bacon and sugar.
 
Kelly Rowland was keen to point out she works out pretty much all the time but she likes to treat herself from time to time which her trainer encourages, as life can’t be all hard work and tasteless foods.
 
Kelly Rowland was talking about her diet when she said “I crave bacon and sugar and anything that has a cream sauce to it, anything that’s a heavy carb, like pasta… but I save my 20% days for the weekend.” She then touched on her exercise routine where she commented on what her trainer has her do saying “We do intervals of incline and speed, she’ll [her trainer] have me jog for three minutes on a flat surface, but the speed is high. Then she’ll slow it down to put me on a high incline to walk with weights. I’m sweating buckets and burning calories.”
