Ulrika Jonsson reveals reasons for her weight loss

A lot of people have made a lot of remarks about the weight of Ulrika Jonsson, who does look very skinny, but those questioning her diet are way off the mark. Ulrika claims that the key reason that she is so skinny is because she suffers from a chronic back condition and she admits that she is very much a lover of food.

Jonsson explained, “Let’s make no bones about it: I’m skinny. I’m thin. Far be it from me to try to convince you otherwise. I am, indeed, slighter than I was two years ago. I should have known after donning a skin-tight dress to dance on Let’s Dance For Sport Relief that there would, once again, be “concerns” about my size. And yet, I doubt I have the answers anyone wants to hear. I suffer from a chronic back condition which was the cause of the majority of my weight loss.”
 
She added, “Five years ago my back gave up the ghost and following my last painful pregnancy, which saw me balloon to 14 stone, it took me 18 months to shed the baby weight. After that, the chronic pain from my back sent me into depression. As anyone who suffers from long-term pain knows, it takes over your life and, for me, it took away my appetite — for food and life itself.”
 
Ulrika Jonsson has not only been criticised for her weight but people have also mocked her neck, which has been compared to that of an elderly woman. However, Ulrika is happy with the way she looks and feels good in herself, so far be it for any of us to question her. Feeling good in your own skin is what life is all about, so fair play to Ulrika Jonsson.

Former High School Musical actress Vanessa Hudgens has proven over the past year that she is certainly dedicated to her art, as she transforms herself for each role that she has to play. Vanessa is currently on a healthy diet to help her lose weight for her next movie role and has claimed that there are obvious other ways to lose weight but she wanted to keep it healthy.

Hudgens explained, “It’s just that I need to look emaciated for the next character I’m playing, and I’m just trying to do it the healthy way. But it isn’t about me wanting to do a 180-degree turn just to spite what I’d done before. I like to play different characters and to push myself.”
 
She added, “Sure, people had a certain knowledge of me after High School Musical, but it just made me fight harder for the roles I wanted. It definitely made me hustle.” Vanessa Hudgens is losing weight for her role as a 17 year old prostitute in the movie The Frozen Ground. Vanessa caused quite a stir last year, when she chopped of her hair for her role as a homeless pregnant teenager, in the movie Gimme Shelter.

Glee actress Amber Riley, who plays Mercedes Jones in the hit Fox musical television series, has revealed how she decided to change her diet in an attempt to become more healthy. Amber stated that she has since last a lot of weight, which has enabled her to drop two dress sizes. However, Amber has admitted that her new weight loss has meant that a change in the Glee wardrobe has had to take place.

Riley explained, “I decided I was going to make a change and eat healthier.” Amber then continued by adding, “I’m a lot more comfortable in dresses especially gowns. We had to revamp the wardrobe. They bought a lot of new clothes for me and we have to take in a lot of my pants and dresses.”
 
She continued, “I’ve always been comfortable with my size. I just decided it was time to get healthy.” Amber Riley recently performed the Whitney Houston track I Will Always Love You in tribute to the late singer. A brand new episode of Glee is set to air on Fox on April 10, when Glee season three returns for its second half of the season, which ends on May 22.

Lady Gaga has called for her fellow celebrities to stop trying to outdo each other with the latest diet, as too many young people look up to them and are making themselves ill by trying to copy it. Lady Gaga also revealed how she used to suffer from Bulimia and made herself sick all the time but she had to stop for the sake of her singing voice.

Lady Gaga explained, “It’s easier for me to talk about it now because I don’t do it anymore. I used to throw up all the time in high school. Bulimia made my voice bad so I had to stop. The acid on your vocal cords — it’s very bad. But for those of you who don’t sing, you maybe don’t have that excuse until it’s too late. It’s very dangerous. I wanted to be a skinny little ballerina but I was a voluptuous little Italian girl whose dad had meatballs on the table every night.”
 
She added, “I used to come home and say, ‘Dad, why do you always give us this food? I need to be thin’. And he’d say, ‘Eat your spaghetti’. I’m gonna say this about girls. The dieting wars have got to stop. Everyone just knock it off! Because at the end of the day, it’s affecting kids your age. And it’s making girls sick.” Lady Gaga is expected to release a new album later this year.

America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon has admitted that he is finding it rather difficult to get back in shape following his recent health scare. Nick admitted that his difficulties were not helped by the fact that he cannot eat steak anymore, yet his wife Mariah Carey is able to enjoy one of his favourite meals. However, Nick is determined that he will be back to 100% in no time.

Cannon explained, “I used to be a fast food junkie. She gets to have higher protein, which isn’t fair because I love my steaks and I can’t eat that anymore. Her carbs are lower so we are both on a diet, but it is different.” Nick also took to his official Twitter page to admit that getting back into shape was also a bit of a struggle but that he was determined to make it happen.
 
He added, “Getting back in shape is going to be tuff, the DR said because of my condition my body can’t process protein and that’s what builds muscle. Time to work smarter not harder…but I got to get right by the time America’s Got Talent starts! It’s going to be difficult to get my six pack back on this Renal Diet. No muscles, skinny with a guy is not fresh. Right now in my tanktop I look like Samuel L. Jackson is Black Snake Moan #needtogetbackinshape.” American’s Got Talent is set to return to NBC this summer.

She added, “I posted a photo on Twitter of me in my underwear, saying I’d gained weight over Christmas and couldn’t wait to lose it. Boy, did I get slated! Everyone said I was attention-seeking and sending out the wrong message to young girls because I already had a slim figure. I didn’t mean to upset anyone and I apologise if I made anyone angry. I know I’ve got body issues.”
 
Imogen concluded, “I take them to heart and it affects my relationships. Nearly all my boyfriends have told me to stop obsessing about my weight, but I can’t help it. I feel like I’ve been on a diet all my life. People say I’ve got a great body, but I’m stuck in binge-diet hell.” Imogen Thomas has become a regular hate figure, with people often being rude and offencive towards her on her Twitter page.

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol actress Paula Patton has revealed how she struggled to shed the extra weight that she had gained during her pregnancy. Paula claims that it is quite possibly one of the hardest things that she has ever had to do but the fact that she has a beautiful child is definitely worth the pain.

Patton explained, “It was really… most gruelling and one of the hardest things I’ve done. I worked out for two and half hours, six days a week for a couple of months. It was so hard! I would never cry in front of the boys, but inside I was hurting and a little depressed. You have to get past that moment of self-doubt. After a month, the wall came down and the training felt doable. It still wasn’t easy, but doable and that felt really empowering.”
 
She added, “Becoming a mother is the best thing that’s happened to me. [Julian]’s at the age where he’s talking. He’s not doing soliloquies, but he’s saying ‘Mama’, ‘Dada’, ‘car’ and ‘dog’. His vocabulary is growing every day. He makes me so happy.” Paula Patton is next set to appear on the big screen in Disconnect, which is due to be released later this year.

Elsa also admitted that becoming pregnant has affected her diet, as she no longer likes the healthy food that she usually eats and has instead turned to junk food.

Pataky explained, “I’m pregnant and I say, ‘But I can’t go surfing? Are you sure I can’t go horseriding or on the motorbike?’ I’ve always been like that. I like risk. I realise it’s nuts, but it goes through my head. My mother holds her head in her hands, then she makes me see sense. My husband too. He puts the brakes on and the worst thing is I have to listen.”
 
She added, “I don’t like the healthy food I used to love. Now all I want is sweet things, rubbish like hamburgers, chips - all the stuff I never used to touch. I try not to go over the top because I need to look after myself for my work. I’m always doing things related to my image. But I do treat myself. I’m not as strict as before.”
 
Elsa concluded, “I never used to eat popcorn. Not even in the cinema. Now I eat it all the time! I’ve always had a sweet tooth but now I indulge it a bit more. Before I’d have a rice cake for breakfast. Now I have a muffin.” Chris Hemsworth can next be seen on the big screen in The Avengers, which is released on May 4, 2012.

Australian actress Rebel Wilson, who is probably best known for her role as Brynn in the hit comedy Bridesmaids, has revealed how she has had to stop her diet after losing too much weight for her latest role. Rebel, who lost 10kg after becoming the face of weight loss company Jenny Craig, claims that she had to stop losing weight due to contractual obligations.

Wilson explained, “I have been filming a musical called Pitch Perfect in Louisiana for the past few months and for my contract in that movie I had to stay the same size. I’d lost 10kg and then had to maintain that for the whole movie, which is quite difficult. I was lucky in that I didn’t really have any health issues in that I had to lose weight or my heart would explode, but it was more just feeling more comfortable in myself.”
 
She added, “When I walked into the US agency I am with, they saw me and thought, ‘We don’t have anyone who looks like you, so we are going to accept you’. Then once you are talented and people find out about it, hopefully people will start writing roles for me.” Rebel Wilson insists that she will return to her diet as soon as she has finished filming and hopes to drop to 80kg by the end of this year.

Superbad actor Jonah Hill has revealed how he is very pleased with how his weight loss has been going and is very pleased with the diet that he is on but there is one thing that is still holding him back a little. Jonah admitted that he has given up eating the food that is bad for him but he simply cannot give up drinking beer. 

Hill explained, “I try not to eat bad stuff anymore but I can’t give up beer, that’s the one thing. I wish I could but I can’t. I think there have been a lot of really talented dramatic actors who are all different shapes and sizes. I was big in Moneyball and that’s been the most praise I’ve ever had. I think getting in better shape is a sign of maturity, of taking things more seriously. And I’m evolving as a person, as well as an actor. Plus, I feel so much better.”
 
He added, “I went to see a movie recently and they had a trailer for The Sitter followed by one for my next film, 21 Jump Street. I looked so different in the two.” Jonah Hill can currently be seen on the big screen in the David Gordon Green comedy The Sitter, which was released in the US on December 9 and is released in the UK today.
