Tom Hardy happy with Bane voice in The Dark Knight Rises

English actor Tom Hardy has revealed that he is not concerned about the issue of Bane mumbling in the forthcoming Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises. There have been a lot of concerns raised following the prologue, as it is very difficult to understand what Bane is saying but Tom insists that, as long as director Christopher Nolan is happy, then he too is happy.

Hardy explained, “Not at all. I trust [director] Christopher Nolan implicitly. I’m not worried at all about people understanding him mumbling away.” He then continued by adding, “But I have seen some brilliant stuff online about my mumbling, ‘Mmmm … Batman doesn’t beat up retards!,’ which I thought was very funny. I enjoyed that.”

As well as Tom Hardy portraying Bane, The Dark Knight Rises also stars Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Michael Caine as Alfred and of course Christian Bale as Batman. The Dark Knight Rises will be the third and final Batman instalment from Christopher Nolan and is set to be released in both the US and the UK on July 20, 2012.

Gary Oldman lost his The Dark Knight Rises script

English actor Gary Oldman has revealed how he thought he had lost his script for The Dark Knight Rises, while in a hotel room and to make matters worse, it was the full and complete The Dark Knight Rises script. Fortunately for Gary, he had hidden it from himself and, after a few moments of panic, he did manage to finally find it.

Oldman explained, “I put it, you know in a hotel room they sometimes fold the bed, they take that cover and they put it like so at the bottom and, I think it wouldn’t go in the safe and I didn’t want to leave it in my bag. So I put it in amongst the blankets and things and I thought ‘well I’ll just hide it there’ and I’d forgotten where I’d put it.”

He added, “It’s panic and mine was complete. Some scripts don’t have the ending and some actors only got pages but I had a whole complete script, so I panicked for about twenty minutes.” Gary Oldman will appear alongside Christian Bale, Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway, when The Dark Knight Rises hits the big screen on July 20, 2012.

Liam Neeson discusses his The Dark Knight Rises involvement

Irish actor Liam Neeson has admitted that he cannot really say anything about what happens in The Dark Knight Rises because he simply does not know anything that happens. Liam claims that he was on the set of The Dark Knight Rises for a very short amount of time and was only told what he needed to know in order to understand the scene he was in and absolutely nothing else at all.

Neeson explained, “I can tell you nothing about Dark Knight Rises, seriously. I was on set for maybe an hour and a half and the director didn’t tell me anything of what it’s about.” He continued by adding, “So I’m being very honest when I say I have no idea what’s going to happen.”

Liam Neeson is set to reprise his role as Ra’s Al Ghul, who he played in Batman Begins, for The Dark Knight Rises but is not expected to be anywhere near as prominent as the last time he played the character. The Dark Knight Rises will be the third and final Batman movie to be directed by Christopher Nolan and will also be the third and final Batman film with Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader. The Dark Knight Rises is set to be released on July 20.

Anne Hathaway is set to appear on the big screen as the latest version of Catwoman, in the Christopher Nolan directed Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises. There have already been a number of pictures released of Anne in the Catsuit and it certainly does not seem to be as sexy as its predecessors. However, Anne admits that she absolute loves the Catsuit and the reasons for certain aspects of it.

Hathaway explained, “I love the costume. I love the costume because everything has a purpose, nothing is in place for fantasy’s sake, and that’s the case with everything in Christopher Nolan's Gotham City.” However, not everybody is convinced by, not only the design of the costume, but also the decision to cast Anne Hathaway as Catwoman.

Many people have questioned Christopher Nolan’s decision to even include Catwoman in his third and final Batman movie, stating that there are better, unused villains that could have been used. Only time will tell whether or not these doubters will be won over. The Dark Knight Rises also sees Christian Bale don the Batsuit for the third and final time, when the movie is released on July 20, 2012.

Christian Bale reveals Batman pressure

Christian admitted that he felt a great deal of expectation on his shoulders and now that he has finished playing Batman, he feels he can open up about it.

Bale explained, “I can tell you the truth because I’m done with it: I felt immense pressure. Anne Hathaway talks Catwoman

A lot of people were quite surprised when it was announced that Anne Hathaway would be playing Catwoman in the upcoming Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises. However, everyone involved in the project has claimed that the doubters are set to be pleasantly surprised by Anne’s performance as Catwoman and Anne has discussed a little of what fans can expect from Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises.

Hathaway explained, “Gotham City is full of grace. You look at Heath’s [Ledger] performance as the Joker, there was a lot of madness there but there was also a grace and he had a code there. There’s a lot of belief and codes of behaviour in Gotham and my character has one, too. A lot of the way she moves and interacts with people is informed by her worldview.”

She added, “Chris [Nolan] has given us all such complex, defined, sophisticated worldviews that it’s just a matter of doing your homework and getting underneath the character’s skin.” Christian Bale is set to don the Batman suit for the third and final time, when The Dark Knight Rises hits the big screen on July 20, 2012.
Christopher Nolan did not know Bane before making The Dark Knight Rises
Christopher Nolan did not know Bane before making The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight Rises director, Christopher Nolan, has revealed how he knew very little about the character Bane before deciding to have him appear in the latest Batman movie. Christopher admitted that he had to go to David Goyer, who co wrote the story for The Dark Knight, to get some information on what the character was like.

“I didn’t know him very well. David Goyer got me a bunch of stuff on him and we looked into him. He’s a very cool character. And getting an actor like Tom Hardy to take it on, you know you’re going to get something very special. With Bane, the physicality is the thing. With a good villain you need an archetype, you know, you need the extreme of some type of villainy. The Joker is obviously a particular archetype of diabolical, chaotic anarchy and has a devilish sense of humor. Bane, to me, is something we haven’t dealt with in the films.”

He added, “We wanted to do something very different in this film. He’s a primarily physical villain, he’s a classic movie monster in a way but with a terrific brain. I think he’s a fascinating character.  I think people are going to get a kick out of what we’ve done with him.” The Dark Knight Rises will once again see Christian Bale take on the role as Batman and is set to be released on July 20, 2012.
American Psycho remake is on the way
American Psycho remake is on the way

What is it with Hollywood and not being able to leave anything alone anymore. If they’re not making sequels to big franchises, they are rebooting them and when they are not rebooting them they are remaking movies. It seems that a week does not go by without there being a new sequel, reboot or remake of a movie reported to be in the works.

The latest one is American Psycho, which came out in 2000 and starred Christian Bale. The 2000 version of the movie, based on the book did leave out quite a few key moments from the book, which the remake could be set to focus on. Yet it was still a very enjoyable piece of movie making and even gave us a performance from Christian Bale, which threw him into the big time.

If a remake of American Psycho has gotten you riled at all, then the next bit of news will annoy you even more. It has been suggested that Lionsgate want to make the movie on a small budget. The job of trying to make this remake worthwhile is down to Noble Jones, who will be writing and directing the American Psycho remake. It will be his debut feature length project. Let’s hope he can prove us wrong and make an improved version of the movie but we doubt it.
