Mr. X Factor Simon Cowell loves controversy
Mr. X Factor Simon Cowell loves controversy

The X Factor creator Simon Cowell has revealed how he loves a little bit of controversy in his life, as it prevents it from being too boring. Simon admitted that he finds it amusing when people criticise him, especially Sir Elton John.

Cowell explained, “Sometimes you throw a pebble in the water, occasionally a rock, just to wind everybody up. When things get a little too comfortable I get bored. And yes, it amuses me.”

He added, “To me [criticism is] like a mosquito bite. We are the ones putting the money back in. With Elton, one minute he likes what we are doing, the next he doesn’t. He just likes being controversial. If ever I meet him we joke about it.” Simon then went on to discuss his falling out with former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole.

Cowell continued, “The biggest misconception of me is that I don’t like people. To do this job you have got to like people. I know when I’ve crossed the line a little bit. I thought there was going to be a big reaction. I wasn’t prepared for what was coming next. I had to apologise for the way it was handled. I think [the relationship] is, [repaired] yeah, we text occasionally. I mean, she is not on the phone every night any more but she broke the ice.”

Olly Murs questions beautiful admirers
Olly Murs questions beautiful admirers

Former X Factor contestant Olly Murs has revealed how he avoids getting close to beautiful admirers because he is aware that they are only interested in getting their five minutes of fame. Olly admits that, before he became famous, no good looking women would come anywhere near him.

Murs explained, “I don’t sleep with stunning women. Before I got famous no good looking girls would come near me. And now I get loads of gorgeous girls come up to me, which is incredible, but they only want one thing, to sell their story. I am not that kind of guy. I think they are after money rather than me.”

Olly recently tweeted former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole asking for her number. He wrote, “Haha sod it @CherylCole I’ll ask for your number then #cantblameaguyfortrying #worthashot lol haha x”. However, it appears that Cheryl has yet to get back in touch with him.

Murs continued, “She tweeted me so I thought, ‘Sod it’… Her Wi-Fi must be down or something as I haven’t heard from her yet.” It was recently claimed that Olly Murs would be joining One Direction on their US tour but Olly has since dismissed those rumours.

Do you think Olly Murs will ever get Cheryl Cole’s number? It does seem unlikely to us.
Nadine Coyle confirms Girls Aloud reunion
Nadine Coyle confirms Girls Aloud reunion

Singer Nadine Coyle has confirmed that she will be teaming back up with Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts for a Girls Aloud reunion tour next year. Nadine also admitted that, if the response to the Girls Aloud tour is positive, they will also look to release some new music.

Coyle explained, “It’s time to come back. At the end of the year it would have been ten years and it feels like the right time to regroup. I know everyone’s been speculating about what we will do. It will be arena dates at the start of next year and we will have new music to go with it. One or two singles I would think. It depends on how well it goes with the tour announcement. If things work well, there’s enough demand and we’re all in the same head space as a band then who knows what could happen.”

She added, “I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the girls. It’s been a long time since we’ve all been in the same room together. But the truth is there’s no big problem with me and the girls. I’ve been living here [in LA] and not been home much and I have a life here now. I’ve been really worried about Sarah and I’m glad to see she’s getting better. I’m thrilled Kimberley’s doing well on the West End and Cheryl and Nicola are working hard on their music.”

Nadine continued, “Everyone was so keen to put Cheryl and me against each other - but we just weren’t enemies. We are very different people musically, that’s all.” Nadine Coyle confirmed back in October that Girls Aloud would be doing something special for their fans, as it approaches their ten year anniversary.
Cher Lloyd’s parents get rid of her room
Cher Lloyd’s parents get rid of her room

Former X Factor contestant Cher Lloyd has revealed how her parents, Darren and Dina, converted her bedroom into a new dining area, just a week after the singer had moved out. Cher joked that her parents must have been in her room before she moved out, measuring up for new material and new dining room furniture.

Lloyd explained, “I had to move to London for work reasons and like a week after I left my lovely bedroom had become a dining room. I was mortified. They must have been measuring up and shopping for dining room furniture before I’d even moved out. “It’s still my home, even if my room doesn’t exactly exist anymore.” Cher then claimed that she knows her three younger siblings Josh, Sophie and Rosie miss her being around.

She added, “I know they miss me being around. They try to act like it’s all cool but I know they do. They’d rather me be home with them.” Cher Lloyd has recently been rubbing up a few people the wrong way, including her former X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole and last year’s X Factor runner up Marcus Collins.
Cher Lloyd praises Nicki Minaj
Cher Lloyd praises Nicki Minaj

Former X Factor wannabe Cher Lloyd has revealed how she believes that Nicki Minaj is the only female rapper that has any real credibility. Cher made a name for herself on The X Factor by putting the occasional rap into her songs and clearly fancies herself as a bit of a rapper, so Nicki Minaj would be the sort of artist that she would aspire to be.

Lloyd explained, “I love the way she did a mixtape, and it sold like crazy. Because she¹s amazing. Then she went on to do an album, and that went crazy, and she really blew up. And I just think between that time she didn’t change at all. She was still massively credible. And she’s a female rap artist that’s done insanely well. In my eyes, she’s the only one.” Cher also admitted that she would love to do a duet with country legend Dolly Parton.

She added, “I’d do anything to just get on stage with her. To just do a bit of Jolene, or just anything. I love her.” Cher Lloyd has recently been upsetting a number of fellow artists including her former X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole, who she claimed could not sing live. However, Cher has since apologised to Cheryl for her comments.
Cheryl Cole will never return to The X Factor
Cheryl Cole will never return to The X Factor

There had been rumours recently that former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole could be set to return to her former role as a judge on the UK version of the hit reality singing competition. However, it has since been confirmed that Cheryl has no intention of rejoining The X Factor and will never return to the show that axed her.

An insider explained, “She is a strong girl and is moving on. She was dumped from X Factor USA and she’s made up her mind that she is not going back. She doesn’t need to do the show. Cheryl is all about her music now. She lives, sleeps and breathes her new album - it’s her passion.”

Meanwhile, Cheryl Cole herself took to her official Twitter account to say, “X Factor was a great experience and time in my life and career but is now part of my past. Please #letsmoveonnow #newnewspls Zzzzz *yawns*.” The X Factor creator Simon Cowell has certainly got his work cut out in the coming weeks, as he has to find new judges for both the US and the UK versions of the show, as well as finding two new hosts for The X Factor USA, all before open auditions start next month.
Cher Lloyd talks marriage
Cher Lloyd talks marriage

Former X Factor wannabe Cher Lloyd has revealed how she would already be married if she had not been so successful on the back of The X Factor. Cher has come in for some criticism from some corners, who claim that she has gotten engaged far too young but the 18 year old insists that she is not affected by the negative comments because she is so in love with her fiancé Craig.

Lloyd explained, “People are negative no matter what you do. People are always going to say ‘She’s too young!’ It’s just a constant criticising. I’m from a Gypsy background! I’m meant to be married by now. I’m 18 years old. I know I’ve got my whole life ahead of me, but why not get hitched now?”

She added, “I’m happy, really happy. I love him to pieces, more than anything in the world, but I don’t want people to take that away from me.” Cher Lloyd has recently upset a number of people, who all seem to be associated with The X Factor. Cher Lloyd has a war of words with Cheryl Cole, before apologising to her mentor and also had a pop at last year’s X Factor runner up Marcus Collins, causing the singer to respond to her negative comments.
Cher Lloyd discusses her rise to fame
Cher Lloyd discusses her rise to fame

Former X Factor wannabe Cher Lloyd has been discussing how she dealt with her sudden rise to fame, thanks to her appearance on the ITV singing competition. Cher claims that she has learnt a lot since she first came onto the scene and admits that there are a number of things that she would probably do differently if she could go back.

Lloyd explained, “I was very stubborn back then. I put up a guard and I didn’t want anyone to come near me. I was overwhelmed by the amount of people who showed interest in me. So I was a bitch, a real bitch. Knowing what I know now, I would’ve dealt with situations a lot more calmer.”

She added, “I was just so angry and frustrated that people had taken my life off of me, even though I had gone on the show. I went through absolute stress and mayhem. I couldn’t go out, because people were constantly on my back all the time. I just felt like I was doing something I loved, but there was another part of it that I absolutely hated.” Cher Lloyd recently appeared to criticise her X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole but has since apologised.
Marcus Collins responds to Cher Lloyd comments
Marcus Collins responds to Cher Lloyd comments

It seems that it does not matter what season of The X Factor you are on, you are always going to bump heads with another former X Factor wannabe and that is exactly what has happened to Marcus Collins. Marcus released his cover of The White Stripes track Seven Nation Army as his first single and his decision to release a cover did not go down to well with Cher Lloyd.

Collins explained, “Everyone had their opinions on it and Cher’s opinion was just a little bit strong and I thought that maybe because she’d been in this situation that she’d know how difficult it is and how important it is. She said why hasn’t he been in the studio writing? I have, I’ve written three quarters of the album and all of those originals are the best of an even bigger amount of originals that we’ve done.”

He added, “I’ve got my favourite one lined up if it goes well and I get to do a second single. I know what I want to do and it’s an original.” It seems that Cher Lloyd is trying to make as many enemies in the music industry as she can, as she recently criticised her X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole for her inability to sing live. However she has since back tracked and issued an apology to the Girl’s Aloud star.
Cher Lloyd ends Cheryl Cole war of words
Cher Lloyd ends Cheryl Cole war of words

Earlier this week, it seemed like former X Factor wannabe Cher Lloyd and her former X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole were getting involved in a serious war of words. It started when Cher questioned Cheryl’s ability to sing live, so Cheryl hit back stating that Cher should be careful who she offends. Now Cher Lloyd has ended the war of words and made an apology to Cheryl.

Lloyd explained, “Basically I said something on radio which I shouldn’t have said and it wasn’t intended to sound as bad as it did. I wasn’t doing that, all I was saying is I would love to perform with her and I made a little joke about only if she sang live. I think it all got blown out of proportion. I just want to say sorry to her if she found that offensive. But at the end of the day, she is the person who got me to where I am today.”

She added, “Being young is not an excuse, I should still be on top of it. I’m in the public eye now, so word vomit is not good!” Cher Lloyd recently signed to LA Reid’s record label Epic Records and is currently work on her second album, which is expected to be released later this year.

Cher Lloyd wants to get stuck in people’s heads

Former X Factor contestant Cher Lloyd has revealed how she is hoping to release as much music as she can, as often as she can, so that she can get so stuck in people’s heads that they will not be able to get rid of her. Cher is currently working on her second album after signing with The X Factor USA judge LA Reid’s Epic Records.

Lloyd explained, “Even though I’m drained right now, I’d do anything to get as many music videos out there as possible. It feels like there’s not enough of me out there yet - I want there to be more and more and more. I want to be stuck in people’s heads so they can’t get rid of me.” Cher also discussed the possibility of releasing an album in the US.

She added, “I’m very involved in them! I don’t sit back and let decisions be made for me. This is something that I want to be able to enjoy - it’s not a competition to see who can crack America first. I’m still in the phase where I’m putting my stamp on the UK. I want more people to be a Cher fan here before I head over there.” Cher Lloyd recently criticised her former X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole for not being a good live singer.
Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh happy without solo career
Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh happy without solo career

Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh has revealed that she is happy that she has not had a solo music career and does not intend to pursue one any time soon. While the likes of Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts and Nadine Coyle have been off seeking solo success, Kimberley has been following her own path, which has included some television presenting.

Walsh explained, “It’s nice some of the girls have explored their passions through their solo albums but it’s not something I’m looking to do. I’m happy following my own ventures. I love performing, I love acting and presenting. I want to do other things. What I’ve achieved musically with the girls is amazing and I’m happy with that. I applied for Popstars because I wanted to be in a group.”

Kimberley then touched on the rumours of a Girls Aloud reunion, adding, “That would be telling. I’ve read a lot of speculation, which hasn’t been accurate. We’ll tell everyone in good time.” There have been talks of a Girls Aloud reunion for some time now and last year The X Factor judge Louis Walsh claimed that he was certain it would happen in 2012.
