Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger has been booked to fill the fourth chair on the UK’s X Factor judging panel - it’s official.
The former Pussycat Doll was sacked from her hosting and judging role on the US version of the hit talent show earlier this year, but it seems that’s only made the way for an improvement in her fortunes, after it was confirmed that she would be replacing Kelly Rowland on the UK talent show.
Life&Style reports that Nicole has accepted a reported $1 million offer to take Kelly’s spot, after she impressed the show’s bosses with her stint as a guest judge during the London auditions last month.
The news is bound to put a smile on the singer’s boyfriend’s face, British racing driver Lewis Hamilton, as it means she will be based in the UK for several months.
X Factor has been a rollercoaster for Nicole. She was sharing hosting duties with British presenter Steve Jones on the US version of the show last year, until she stepped in to replace Cheryl Cole, after she was unceremoniously sacked by show boss Simon Cowell.
Cheryl was followed by Nicole at the end of the series, along with Steve Jones. She will now join Irish judge Louis Walsh on the panel, as well as last year’s successes Gary Barlow and Tulisa Contostavlos.
