Jason Segel discusses weight gain

How I Met Your Mother actor Jason Segel has revealed how he put on around 30 pounds while filming for his latest movie Jeff, Who Lives at Home. Jason plays the title character in the movie and admitted that fans will see the difference in his appearance as the movie progresses.

Segel explained, “It was the best thing of all time. We shot for three months there but the movie takes place in one day. So in addition to this movie having the themes it has, it’s also the slow story of a guy gaining 30 pounds over one day, which I’m really proud of, it’s not easy.”

Jason then went on to admit that they intended to have an honesty about the movie, as well as the comedy element. He added, “The goal wasn’t just to come in and have a joke-fest. It was to come in and really be honest, and that’s why I wanted to do it.”

As well as Jason Segel, Jeff, Who Lives at Home also stars Ed Helms, Susan Sarandon and Judy Greer. The movie was written and directed by Jay Duplass and Mark Duplass and is set to be released in the US on March 16 and in the UK on April 20.
Emma Stone talks exercise, diet an weight gain
Emma Stone talks exercise, diet an weight gain

The Amazing Spider-Man actress Emma Stone has revealed how she was put through a rather intense exercise regime by a trainer, while filming the latest adaptation of the comic book superhero. However, Emma admits that, since filming on the movie finished, she has let her diet slip and has gained a few pounds.

Stone explained, “I had a trainer during Spider-Man and I discovered I have deep-seated rage when I’m holding heavy weights over my head. Whatever dormant anger I have in me, that’s where it comes out. That’s not the kind of working out I want to do. I would much rather sleep at night than want to throw a weight across a room at someone. I’m usually a pretty peaceful person, but for some reason when I get in the gym something bubbles up in me.”

She added, “I do have that thing of, ‘Oh my God, I’m disgusting! I ate a huge Wagamama lunch, the whole yaki soba, and I feel so fat’. But I’m still going to eat that stuff, and you know what? You can get nice, loose clothes that cover it all up. I’m not going to go parading around in a bikini. OK, I did that in a photo shoot once, but it’s about what you’re comfortable with at the time you’re comfortable with it. That was a good day, but you won’t hear me saying I have no body issues because I wouldn’t be human if I didn’t”

You can catch Emma Stone appearing alongside Andrew Garfield and Rhys Ifans in the Marc Webb directed movie The Amazing Spider-Man, which is set to be released on July 3.
Jennifer Hudson discusses weight loss and weight gain issues in Hollywood
Jennifer Hudson discusses weight loss and weight gain issues in Hollywood

Oscar winning actress, singer and all round entertainer, Jennifer Hudson has revealed how there is way too much emphasis on a person’s weight in Hollywood. Jessica claims that you simply cannot win, as people say that you are too heavy and then once you lose the weight, they claim that you have lost too much weight.

Hudson explained, “You cannot win with the weight loss because once you lose the weight first they say, ‘You can’t do it’, then when you do it, they say, ‘Well, you’re gonna gain it back’. Then, when you don’t gain it back, then people get madder and then they say, ‘They lost too much weight!’ You have to do it for yourself. It shouldn’t matter what other people say.”

She added: “Every time I see a heavy girl that reminds me of myself I make sure I let them know, ‘Oh my God, you are so beautiful’.” Jennifer Hudson has previously explained how she will not let her son become over weight and will be making sure he has a healthy balanced diet. Jennifer recently denied reports that claimed she turned down a role in the movie Precious because it required her to gain weight.

Demi Moore talks Weight Loss, Weight Gain and Feeling Good

Hollywood actress Demi Moore has revealed how she has constantly been in a battle with her body and has learnt so much about herself, through how she feels about her body. Demi admitted that, when she was battling against her body, she found that she was not happy in herself in general but when she stopped fighting it and just learnt to appreciate her body, she became much more at peace.

Moore explained, “When I’m at the greatest odds with my body, it’s usually because I feel my body’s betraying me, whether that’s been in the past, struggling with my weight and feeling that I couldn’t eat what I wanted to eat, or that I couldn’t get my body to do what I wanted it to do.”

She added, “I find peace when I don’t see my body as my enemy, when I step back and have appreciation and look at all that my body has done for me. It’s allowed me to give birth to three beautiful children, allowed me to explore different roles as an actor, allowed me to be strong.”

Demi continued, “You can’t look at yourself in the mirror and tear your body apart. You have to look at it and go, ‘Thank you. Thank you for standing by me, for being there for me no matter what I have put you through’.” Demi Moore filed for divorce from  her husband, Two and a Half Men actor, Ashton Kutcher back in November following reports that he had an affair.
