The Wanted: ‘Christina Aguilera is a total bitch!’
The Wanted: ‘Christina Aguilera is a total bitch!’

Despite building up a huge fanbase across the Pond, it would seem that not every American wants a piece of The Wanted.

Singer Christina Aguilera was reportedly very rude and arrogant when the boy band performed on The Voice recently.

The lads were special guests on the US version of the show, on which Christina is a judge, and claimed that the pop star completely ignored them. Speaking on Now FM, Max George said that she refused to talk to them backstage after the show.

He said: ‘She was a bit scary to be honest.’ Bandmate Tom Parker added: ‘She’s a total b****! She might not be a b**** in real life but to us she was a b****. She just sat there and didn’t speak to us. Wouldn’t even look at us.’

Siva Kaneswaran added: ‘She was quite rude. Who does that?’ Nathan Sykes, however, tried to be a bit diplomatic and said: ‘She might have been in a bad mood that day - didn’t she completely par Justin Bieber as well? He went in for a hug and she was like “get away from me”.’

And when comparing their experience of meeting Christina compared to Jennifer Lopez on American Idol, Max added: ‘Yeah, well J.Lo’s hot, Christina’s nothing special.’

The Wanted also met Chris Brown on the show and said they hoped to go into the studio with him too. Siva added: ‘We’ve talked to Chris Brown as well, which would be really good. We talked to Chris actually when we were on The Voice and he said he was down as well.’

Simon Cowell running scared of The Voice UK
Simon Cowell running scared of The Voice UK

It has been claimed that Simon Cowell is running scared of rival television show The Voice UK, after it was announced that Britain’s Got Talent will be pushed back half an hour to an 8:30pm start for Saturday, April 21. Now, a source at the BBC has claimed that it is a sign that Simon Cowell has accepted defeat.

A BBC insider explained to The Mirror, “Cowell tried to disrupt the launch of The Voice and failed and now he’s running scared. It’s great news for us and for TV viewers that there will be no overlap.”

Meanwhile, an ITV insider added, “Simon and ITV boss Peter Fincham hoped to ruin the start of The Voice but the clash has backfired spectacularly. By going to a later slot they are waving the white flag.”

The insider added, “Cowell will not be happy and hates to be second-best. He has never moved The X Factor for Strictly Come Dancing and is used to calling the shots. This is very much a first - and a humiliating one at that.”

The Voice UK and Britain’s Got Talent are set to go head to head again this weekend, with The Voice starting their 80 minute episode at 7pm on BBC One, while Britain’s Got Talent starts at 8pm on ITV1.
Tulisa and Jessie J set to duet
Tulisa and Jessie J set to duet

It has been reported that The X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos and The Voice coach Jessie J are set to team up together and collaborate on a song. While the two singers are working on rival television shows, that has certainly not affected their desire to work together in music.

Contostavlos explained to Capital FM, “Oh definitely, definitely. I don’t know when but that will happen one day. I think it would sound wicked. I think it would sound female boss… bosses.”

Tulisa Contostavlos and Jessie J have been friends for many years and last year, before Jessie J became associated with the new BBC show The Voice, Jessie helped Tulisa to make her choices in the Judges Houses stage of The X Factor.

However, Tulisa has admitted that she has not given Jessie J any words of advice for her role on The Voice because she feels that Jessie is perfectly capable of doing a good job and knows exactly what is needed of her on such a show. Tulisa also admitted that she believes that Jessie J has her head screwed on.

Tulisa Contostavlos’ debut single Young is set to be released in the UK on May 6.
The X Factor UK set for new twist
The X Factor UK set for new twist

It has been claimed that the next season of the UK version of the hit reality singing competition The X Factor is set for a brand new twist. It seems that Simon Cowell is set to make a return to the UK version of The X Factor, as the Voice of God.

An insider explained to The Sun, “This is serious now for Simon. BGT losing out to The Voice is one thing, but he’s terrified this is going to have negative repercussions for The X Factor.”

The source added, “All options are being considered and having him as the Voice of God is one of them. He quite likes the idea. X Factor is Simon’s baby and he’ll do whatever he can to make it a success. He won’t let something like the Atlantic get in the way of things.”

Meanwhile, a spokeswoman for The X Factor claimed, “Simon is closely involved with the show and its direction. Ideas for the new series are still being discussed.” The Voice of God would see Simon Cowell appear over Skype when a decision comes to deadlock, where he will choose who goes through and who goes home.
Simon Cowell to be nicer to wannabes?
Simon Cowell to be nicer to wannabes?

It has been reported that X Factor boss and Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell is set to be nicer to wannabes, in a bid to outperform The Voice. Simon is believed to have been very disappointed that Britain’s Got Talent was beat by The Voice in the ratings at the weekend and wants to put things right.

An insider explained to The Sun, “Simon wasn’t happy when he saw the ratings. He likes to be number one in everything he does. He has told producers they must make BGT even better. He is known as being a perfectionist and this will only renew his desire to beat The Voice.”

They added, “The big fear is that viewers will start seeing The Voice as the leading singing show. That would mean the best singers flocking to apply to it instead of The X Factor - and these shows live or die on their talent.”

The insider continued, “Simon always learns lessons. He will be seriously considering whether he has to be nicer to contestants. He has softened his Mr Nasty image over the years. But maybe now he needs to turn fully into Mr Nice. It’s clear viewers are starting to get a taste for more positive shows.”
Delta Goodrem discusses life changes
Delta Goodrem discusses life changes

Australian singer Delta Goodrem, who is one of the coaches for the Australian version of the hit show The Voice, has revealed how she has had to make many changes throughout the years but is happy with where she is at right now.

Goodrem explained to the Herald Sun, “I think everyone goes through changes, and every decision I’ve made has been one from my heart. I’m so happy where I am at with my life right now. But definitely I had some tough times, there is no denying that.”

She added, “It took me a second to stop and think, but I had to make better changes for my life and I was in a place I needed to move on from. I have now, and I’m really proud of myself for that. I’m so happy and so thankful to be free as a person. I’m at such peace, I don’t remotely feel anything bad.”

Delta continued, “I’m getting to do The Voice, I’m doing my music, I’m myself again. I want to be a young 27-year-old, loving music, that’s me. That is who I am and I didn’t get to be me for a second.”

Delta Goodrem was previously engaged to Brian McFadden and more recently, dated Nick Jonas but, unfortunately, neither relationship worked out.
Jessie J happy to make The Voice contestants cry
Jessie J happy to make The Voice contestants cry

Singer and judge on the UK version of the hit show The Voice, Jessie J, has revealed that she is happy to make contestants on the show cry. Jessie J claims that she is simply trying to get them to improve and sometimes tough love is the best way.

Jessie J explained to Daily Record, “Contestants have to realise they need to raise their game. I’m not saying it’s easy – I know how it feels to step out on a stage in front of millions of people I don’t know. When I performed on the X Factor last year, I was shaking like a leaf. But it’s got to be done and they need to embrace it.”

She added, “I may make them cry but they always come back the next day and say, ‘Thank you for the tough love – it’s what I needed.’ You’ve got to say to yourself, ‘Look at me. I’m living my dream. I wake up every day and do what I love.’ You’ll never hear me complaining and I never expect to hear my acts complaining either…”

However, Jessie J did admit that she would not be where she is today, if she had auditioned for a reality TV show. She continued, “I feel if I’d auditioned for one of these shows, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing today. You have to go through life’s experiences – good or bad – to learn from them.”

The Voice continues on BBC One tonight at 19:00 BST.

Jessie J confirms Tom Jones collaboration

There has been plenty of talk about The Voice coaches working with each other for some new music in the future and now it seems that two of them are dead set on making that happen. Jessie J has confirmed that she is set to collaborate with her fellow The Voice coach, Tom Jones and that it will happen very soon.

Jessie J explained to More magazine, “Yes definitely. Your career is about moments and things that inspire you, and all three of them are amazing artists. I’d be honoured to work with any of them. I’d love to collaborate with Tom especially, and I think that will happen very soon.”

Jessie J recently confirmed that he next single is set to be LaserLight, which she is looking to officially release in the UK on May 13. Meanwhile, Tom Jones is set to release his 40th studio album, titled Spirit In The Room, which will also be out in May.

The X Factor and Big Brother crossover show to be made?
The X Factor and Big Brother crossover show to be made?

It has been claimed that a brand new reality television series is set to be made, which is going to blend the concept of The X Factor along with the concept of Big Brother. The show is expected to appear on Channel 4 next year, in a bid to compete with the likes of The X Factor and The Voice.

The contestants will go through an audition process which involves testing their personalities, along with their singing abilities. Viewers will get a nightly show update every evening of what is going on in the house, much like Big Brother. Then there will be a sing off on a Saturday night, with someone being evicted on the Sunday.

There is currently no news on who will be hosting the show and whether or not they will be having any judges and the show is yet to be given an official name. The show’s concept is reminiscent of Fame Academy but a Channel 4 insider insists that it will be very different.

Auditions for this new Channel 4 reality television show are set to get underway in the summer. News of how to apply for the show and what the auditions involve, plus everything else you need to know about the show, can be seen below.

Jessie J to quit The Voice for The X Factor

While it is official that Jessie J has a contract for the BBC show The Voice, it is only for one season and, although she has been enjoying the show, she does not seem to be renewing her contract for a second season, once the current season has finished.

Now, The X Factor creator Simon Cowell has been talking about who he would like to be a judge on both the UK version of the show, as well as the US version and Jessie J’s name has come up more than once. Simon even admitted that he would love to poach Jessie from the beeb.

Well now it seems like Simon Cowell may well have gotten his wish, as it has been reported that Jessie J is set to abandon the BBC and shoot on over to ITV to join The X Factor team. The news is a major blow to the BC who have already lost Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon to Simon Cowell.

It is not yet clear whether Jessie J will be judging on the UK version of The X Factor or the US version but she should be clear to join the show for the upcoming new season of either show.

The X Factor, The Voice and now for something new

It seems that The X Factor is going to have its work cut out to continue to be the top singing competition in the UK. Recently The Voice started showing on the BBC to become a rival for The X Factor and now it seems that there is a new show on the horizon.

Television executives at an unnamed channel have revealed that they are currently developing their very own, unique singing competition, which has a similar concept to both The X Factor and The Voice but has a twist that will blow the other two out of the water.

While they are currently keeping their cards very close to their chests at this stage of the development, they have admitted that they expect the show to hit television screens next year. There are still a few tests and tweaks to be made before it is ready for broadcasting

However, auditions for the new reality singing competition are set to take place later this year, expected to be around December time. Simon Cowell, who is clearly not a fan of The Voice, is set to be very disturbed by this recent revelation.
