Eva Mendes talks sex scenes and nudity

Hollywood actress Eva Mendes has revealed how she was fine with having to do a bit of full nudity in her first big movie Training Day but when it came to the sex scene for the movie We Own The Night in 2007, she was a little less comfortable. Eva admitted that she was worried what her movie would think of her doing a sex scene for the world to see.

Mendes explained, “I work with what I have. In my first big film, Training Day, I did full nudity. It was fine, because it was not a love scene. It was different with the film We Own The Night with Joaquin Phoenix in 2007 because in the opening scene he is seen kissing my bare breast and putting his hand down my pants. I was like ‘Oh, my God, I’m not sure whether I can do this.’ I told the director: ‘There’s a good little Catholic girl still inside me.’ He said, ‘Tell her to go home.’ So they made me a strong vodka orange juice and I got on with it.”

She added, “I did think ‘If I am going to take my mom, I will miss the opening ten minutes of this film.’ But, of course, she was fine about it as she has been with all my movies. She probably realised what was going on in my head more than I did. I now love my curves. When I first had them, though, I wondered what was going on. Men were suddenly looking at me and I didn’t know why. It was confusing.” Eva Mendes is set to appear alongside her boyfriend Ryan Gosling in the movie The Place Beyond the Pines, which is expected to be released this year.
Ryan Gosling praises Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn
Ryan Gosling praises Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn

Ryan Gosling has spoken about his relationship with the Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn, claiming that the director tends to fetishize his films. Ryan and Nicolas have developed quite a good working relationship and have a number of projects coming up together, something which Ryan is certainly looking forward to.

Gosling explained, “They literally turn him on, and if they don’t then he’s not interested in it. He sexualizes them, he fetishizes them. It doesn’t matter if it’s a pair of gloves or it’s the way something sits in the frame, it physically has to excite him or he’s bored. So he’s making these movies only for himself and so they feel personal. I’m just lucky that he and I, we share the same fantasy so we can take a film like Drive and it can be personal to both of us and have a very clear identity.”

He added, “Marc Platt (Drive’s producer) has this expression, he says that he’s the producer of this “feathered fish” and that most movies are these “feathered fish” where they don’t fly, and they don’t swim. A lot of them don’t have an identity. Maybe because they’re not allowed to, because there’s so many cooks in the kitchen.”

Ryan concluded, “Nicolas makes films for very small amount of money, for people who give him the control. That’s what we had on this film, and we were able to make the film personal and have its own identity.” Ryan Gosling can be seen on the big screen when he appears in the movie The Place Beyond the Pines, which is set to be released later this year.
Bradley Cooper confirms he is single
Bradley Cooper confirms he is single
The Hangover actor Bradley Cooper has hit out at rumours that he is dating Jennifer Lopez by confirming that he is very much single. Bradley admitted that he is so busy at the moment with work commitments that he simply does not have the time for a relationship.

Cooper explained, “I’m filming The Place Beyond The Pines at the moment with Ryan Gosling in New York, so that’s taking up a lot of my time. It’s really exciting, but it doesn’t leave much time for a relationship.” So it appears that his date with Jennifer Lopez was less romantic than first thought.

Bradley Cooper was spotted with Jennifer Lopez at the Per Se restaurant in New York on Saturday night, although it now seems that it was just as friends. Bradley has also recently been linked to TRON: Legacy actress Olivia Wilde, but then again, who hasn’t?
