Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to star in new movie together

It has been reported that Twilight love birds, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, are set to star alongside each other once again, in a new movie together. Robert and Kristen will appear alongside each other in the final Twilight movie later this year, before filming a new movie together early next year.

The movie is currently an untitled project and, as well as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson being signed up to the cast, the film will be directed by David Fincher (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). It is expected that the movie will be released late next year or early 2014.

Not a lot is known about the project but it is believed that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will be playing arch enemies in the film, a stark contrast to their previous work together. There are also said to be a few fight scenes involving the two real life lovers.

It will be interesting to see whether filming a movie as enemies will have a negative effect on their relationship or if it will bring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart closer together. We will just have to wait and see.

Rooney Mara glad of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo break

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo actress Rooney Mara has admitted that she is glad to be having a break from her character Lisbeth Salander before filming for the sequel begins. Rooney claims that, while she thoroughly enjoyed her role in the David Fincher movie, she is pleased to be able to play other characters and work on other films before reprising her role.

Mara explained, “I’m happy to have a little break, but I am eager to revisit her. But, I’m happy to have a break first. For myself, it probably is easier to play a character who is much different, with an accent and who looks different and walks different. I find that much more enjoyable. But, at the same time, I felt like Lisbeth Salander was very familiar to me. We do have a lot in common. I think a little bit of both is good.”

26 year old Rooney Mara has previously insisted that she prefers to play roles, which do not receive as much mainstream attention. You can next catch Rooney Mara on the big screen, when she appears alongside Channing Tatum, Jude Law and Catherine Zeta-Jones, in the Steven Soderbergh movie The Bitter Pill, which is set to be released in 2013.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo sequel is continuing development

The has been a lot of questions asked regarding the possibility of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo sequel, following the disappoint of the first movie, which was released in December. However, that has not stopped development for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo sequel, which is titled The Girl Who Played with Fire. Sony Pictures have confirmed that development for The Girl Who Played with Fire is moving along nicely and they are not worried by the financial disappointment of The Girl Who Played with Fire. A Sony Pictures spokesperson explained, “Dragon Tattoo continues to do strong business and nothing has changed with respect to development of the next book.”

It is believed that The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo director David Fincher will be back in the director’s chair for The Girl Who Played with Fire and it has also been claimed that he is considering making two sequels, back to back. The Girl Who Played with Fire is current expected to be released sometime in 2013.

Daniel Craig: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is too violent for youngsters’

Anyone who has read Stieg Larsson’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo novel will know that the movie is sure to be a thriller for adults. But Daniel Craig has warned parents that his latest movie, a big-screen adaptation of the book, is set to ‘make babysitters a lot of money’, as the violence makes it entirely unsuitable for youngsters.

Craig, who plays an Mikael Blomkvist, an investigative journalist who finds himself on the trail of a vicious serial killer in the film, said in an interview with BBC Breakfast that the close-to-the-mark scenes in the film were true to the themes of violence against women in Larsson’s novel.

He explained: ‘It is addressing a huge issue that serial killers on the whole are male and they kill women. It is an adult movie. This is one where you pay the babysitter - babysitters are going to make a lot of money out of this, I hope. Don’t take the kids!’

Craig’s interview came after he revealed at the premiere of the movie in London last night that he had enjoyed piling on the pounds for his new role. The 43-year-old newlywed - who works out regularly to maintain his toned physique - admitted he didn’t mind skipping the gym to play the charasmatic Mikael in David Fincher’s Hollywood remake of the first of the Millenium trilogy.

He said: ‘It was very easy actually. I just wanted to look as normal as I possibly could so I just relaxed my exercise, and ate and drank what I wanted to.’ Craig was joined at the premiere of the film at Leicester Square by his co-star Rooney Mara, 26, who was a far cry from her on screen character, gothic Lisbeth Salander, in a stunning white dress as she braved the bitter cold in a lace creation by Givenchy Couture and matching Brian Attwood heels.

She explained: ‘They dyed my hair and shaved parts of it, they pierced my eyebrows. I got most of the piercings. This is probably the most intense role I’ve had to do. But I read the books and couldn’t imagine not doing this.’

The first film in the planned trilogy, which also stars Stellan Skarsgard, Geraldine James and Steven Berkoff, opens in cinemas in the UK on Boxing Day, and you can watch the new trailer here.
