Taylor Kitsch to reprise Gambit role?
Taylor Kitsch to reprise Gambit role?

Hollywood actor Taylor Kitsch appeared as the character Gambit in the 2009 movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine and has previously stated that he would not return to the role. However, Taylor has now claimed that, if he got the call to reprise his role as Gambit, he would do it.

Kitsch explained to Den Of Geek, “I would, man. I know Hugh [Jackman]’s doing Wolverine soon, so I’m not planting a seed in any way, but if he called me and wanted me to do a cameo in it or something, I’d do it. It’s that simple. But I haven’t been approached by anyone.”

He added, “What’s been really flattering is that a lot of fans want to see it. And that’s the best compliment you can get, is that people want to see you again in that role. Or any role. And I loved playing him - he’s a suave motherfucker. He’s fun to play, man. So I’d love to do it. But I doubt it’ll happen.”

Taylor continued, “Maybe way down the road. Which is great, because I’m sure I’ll be a way different actor when I’m 40 or 45, and I can see myself playing him down the road, developing that. You never know.”

Taylor Kitsch loves working with Battleship director Peter Berg

John Carter actor Taylor Kitsch has revealed how he loves working with his Battleship director Peter Berg, as the two have become very close. Taylor claims that he and Peter are good friends and have a great trust in each other, which can only be good for the movies that they work on.

Kitsch explained, “I love working with him as it is very empowering as an actor. We are friends first and foremost and so what comes with that is a lot of trust, and that is everything on every set whether it is Oliver Stone, Andrew Stanton or Pete Berg.”

He added, “And I needed to trust him a little more on this film because a lot is put in in post production and you are make believing a lot more. Also who we are as people we like to push the envelope and we push each other through that process which is great.”

Battleship is not the first time that Taylor Kitsch and Peter Berg have worked together and it is highly unlikely that it will be the last. Taylor and Peter previously worked together on the television series Friday Night Lights before teaming up again for Battleship.

Battleship is set to be released in the UK on April 11 and in the US on May 18.

Singer turned actress Rihanna has revealed how she developed a huge crush on True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard, after working with him on the movie Battleship. Rihanna admitted that, while she had a lot of scenes with Taylor Kitsch, it was Alexander who really caught her eye.

Rihanna explained, “I was completely intimidated by the other actors. But I had a lot of scenes with Taylor Kitsch and he helped me out a lot along the way. Alexander Skarsgard is so hot. I had to keep my game face. I could stare at him all day long. I was just watching him on set. He’s very focused and he was really sweet.”

Rihanna then told More! how she does not think too much about the impression that she gives off. She added, “I don’t set out to look tough; I just think it comes out a lot in the way I dress my body language and the videos I make. I always try and stay true to myself.”

She continued, “Sometimes I let too much out of the bag, but I always act how I feel. Sometimes it can come across as vulnerable and at other times aggressive, but I’m just doing what I feel like. The image comes after.”

Taylor Kitsch discusses his acting future
Taylor Kitsch discusses his acting future

Battleship actor Taylor Kitsch has taken the fact that he was the lead star in the big budget flop John Carter very well. In fact Taylor has admitted that it was just one of his many risky roles and he does not intend to change the way he approaches his art.

Kitsch explained, “I want to keep working with the best, keep going and be a better actor each time I go and dive into something. I want to be scared. I want to keep taking insane risks. I want to be scared because you’re going to grow through that whether you want to or not. I don’t want to play the same guy. I want to keep throwing curveballs to you guys and keep telling stories.”

Taylor Kitsch then went on to reveal what he likes to do in his spare time, when he is not working, admitting that, when you are working, you are very much out of the loop with the real world.

He added, “When I’m not acting, I try to be normal, play golf, play hockey. It’s funny because you’re in this little bubble when you’re working - you don’t read books, you don’t really keep up with the news, you’re just living that life. When you get out, you just kind of reacquaint yourselves with family and friends. You try and forget and just try and remember what reality feels like.”

Taylor Kitsch discusses diet and fitness regime

John Carter actor Taylor Kitsch has revealed how it was not easy for him to get into the best physical shape of his life for his role in the movie. Taylor claims that it was very hard work, eating more than usual and having the discipline to keep up with the training.

Kitsch explained, “It’s a challenge, put it that way. It’s more of a marathon to keep it that way, which is very tough, especially when you’re working as well. It’s not like I was just working out and resting.”

He added, “It’s just discipline, even more of it. I worked out at 4:30 in the morning before work, surrounded every meal with protein, taking in twice as much food and then the discipline truly comes with the training, but more with just the diet.”

However, despite the toughness of getting into shape and maintain that physique, Taylor Kitsch admits that he would love to be involved in any possible John Carter sequel and is hopeful that it will happen. He stated, “I hope to do another one!”

Taylor Kitsch reveals John Carter groin scars

John Carter actor Taylor Kitsch has revealed how he has some lasting scars from filming his latest movie John Carter, including one rather nasty one on his groin. Taylor claims that the reason for his scarring to the groin is because he was constantly thrown around in a harness, which cut into his thighs and groin.

Kitsch explained, “I’ve got the groin scars to prove it. To say the least it was insane… It was like you open that trailer door at seven in the morning to get your day started and the first thing you see is that harness staring back at you. Nothing puts you more in the moment than being tugged f**king 80 miles an hour up and then [dumped] into free fall for three or four seconds”.

He added, “I just remember one day, I literally was so exhausted, I couldn’t walk to set and it was probably a hundred yards away. It was up a small hill, and I couldn’t walk up there, and I had to get a little cart to take me up there” You can catch Taylor Kitsch starring in the big budget John Carter movie when it is released in both the US and the UK on March 9.

Kitsch explained, “We’re in the worst state we’ve ever been in, in terms of obesity in kids, adult early onset diabetes, and so on. Especially in the States. It’s a f**king joke. I’m more worried about the kids, the younger generation. That’s who I would focus on.” Taylor then went on to discuss when he once lost 35 pounds for a role in the movie The Bang Bang Club.

He added, “That was f**king stupid and there’s not a lot of actors who will do that. It’s just way too extreme, and being a nutritionist I found it hard. Everything I knew just went out the window. The way I worked, it changed my walk, my confidence, everything. I was very bipolar. My mood swings were f**king insane. I was very emotional, I had night terrors, I couldn’t sleep. It was a zoo.” Taylor Kitsch can next be seen on the big screen in the movie John Carter, which is released on March 9.
