Country singer Taylor Swift has lent her voice to the character Audrey in the upcoming movie Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax and she has been talking about her voice over work. Taylor also admitted that, when it comes to acting in movies, she has to be completely sure that she will have the time and ability to fall in love with the character she is playing.

Swift explained, “Acting is something I’ve been fascinated by my entire life. I would want to have the time, the ability and the love for something, the love for a character to where I could really make that commitment to it.” Taylor then discussed how doing voice over work for movies is very different from recording music in a studio.

She added, “What people don’t think about with character acting in the voice-over form [is] you’re making a lot of sounds. It’s very different from when you’re singing songs that you wrote. With this, you’re sitting there in a booth by yourself having conversations with no one.” Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax is out today in the US and is released in the UK on July 27.

Country singer Taylor Swift has lent her voice to the character Audrey in the upcoming movie Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax and Taylor has been discussing the movie and the role that she plays. Taylor admitted that she jumped at the chance to be involved in the movie as she was a huge Dr. Seuss fan as a child.

Swift explained, “It was an immediate ‘Yes’ as soon as I heard that it was Dr Seuss. That kind of goes back to the original core of why I wanted to write music and tell stories - I loved Dr Seuss as a kid, it was my first introduction to poetry and then poetry became all I ever thought about, and then that later on became songwriting, which has made my life really fun. It all went back to the initial reason I love doing this, so I of course wanted to do it.”

She added, “What I loved most about this process is that they kept this movie so close to what the book wanted it to be. Them naming the character Audrey and naming her after Dr Seuss’s wife was a really sweet homage to her, and to her and Ted. The character was always dreamed up as this hopeful daydreamer. I really was drawn to the fact that she was the exception to this entire society and the fact that she was the catalyst for all the amazing things that happened.” Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax is released in the US on March 2 and in the UK on July 27.

Country singer Taylor Swift has revealed what inspired her to write the double Grammy winning track Mean. Taylor claims that there was a critic who was constantly giving her bad reviews and clearly had a grudge against, becoming more mean, which inspired her to put pen to paper and come up with the track Mean, about the nasty critic.

Swift explained, “I wrote the song about a critic who kept giving me really bad reviews. Nothing ruins your day more than getting a bad review, and then there is the scathing review which is past constructive criticism and more into ‘I hate you’ territory which is mean.”

She added, “It really got me down because I do get my feelings hurt. You don’t ever get thick skin for that sort of thing, or I don’t at least, so it really got me down for a long time. The only way I could get myself to feel semi-better about it was to sing this melody in my head… and then it won two Grammys and now I feel better!” Taylor Swift recently admitted that she is in search of a new boyfriend and has taken the active approach of searching for one, in the supermarket.

Country music singer Taylor Swift has revealed how she has been dreaming up different ways to find herself a new boyfriend. Taylor admits that she does not actually have a type, when it comes to the opposite sex but claims that it is very hard to meet anyone with all the touring and being backstage. However, she has decided that she will go to them and has chosen the perfect place.

Swift explained, “I don’t think I have a type actually. My friends are always pointing that out constantly! They say, ‘You’re so all over the place’ but that makes it fun because you never know who you’ll meet and where you’ll meet them. I have this very romantic idea about meeting someone.”

She added, “Just meeting them, meeting them. Just bumping into them, which is hard, because I’m backstage and all these weird places where you can’t just bump into someone. I do go to the grocery store a lot! That’s where it’s going to happen!” Taylor Swift has previously dated Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner and Jake Gyllenhaal and was most recently linked to Zac Efron but it turns out that the two are just good friends.

Hollywood actor Zac Efron has revealed quite a fair bit about what people can expect from his character, in the upcoming animated movie The Lorax. Zac lends his voice to the character Ted, who falls for a girl called Audrey, played by Taylor Swift, Ted is willing to do anything to get the girl of his dreams.

Efron explained, “I play Ted, who’s just your average young guy that lives in a town where nature doesn’t exist, everything is manufactured and fake. He’s got this really cool grammy, who can be a little eccentric. He rides this very cool monocycle and like many boys his age, he does have one thing on his mind, a girl named Audrey. He thinks she’s the coolest and will do anything to impress her.”

As well as Zac Efron and Taylor Swift, The Lorax also stars the voices of Ed Helms, Danny DeVito, Betty White and Rob RIggle. The Lorax is set to be released in theatres in the US on March 2, 2012 but fans in the UK will have to wait a while longer, as The Lorax does not hit the cinemas in the UK until July 27, 2012.

Hollywood actor Zac Efron has wished Demi Moore well, after the actress was taken to hospital last month with, what has been described as, exhaustion and to improve her overall health. Zac has recently been romantically linked to Demi Moore’s daughter Rumer Willis, although it is believed that the two are just very good friends.

Efron explained, “Me and Rumer have been friends for a long time. I know Demi is going through some personal stuff right now. I just wish her well. I hope she’s doing okay. Rumer’s doing great. I talk to her on the phone. I’m sure it has its ups and downs but I think she’s doing okay.” Zac also took the time to shoot down the rumours that he is dating country singer Taylor Swift.

He added, “We’re really good friends. She’s trying to teach me how to play guitar. I’m not very good yet but she’s an amazing teacher and super sweet. She taught me like four chords and I can literally play about eight songs now on four chords. It seems that a week cannot go by where a new Zac Efron dating rumour emerges. An eye witness explained, “Zac literally ran to the car and jumped in, leaving Lily behind but Lily kept her cool and took her time. She wasn’t as worried about not being seen by us. She took her time. She probably didn’t want to trip in her heels!” Once again, it goes to show that when you are a star in Hollywood, you cannot hang out with a member of the opposite sex without being romantically linked to them.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were together for quite some time but decided to end their relationship and go their own separate ways about a year ago. It was first claimed that Zac Efron and Taylor Swift were dating way back in March last year and, although those rumours were proven to be false, the couple have once again been romantically linked to each other in recent weeks. This time around, neither Zac Efron or Taylor Swift have denied a romance but there are so many rumours that it is difficult to know whether there is any truth in it.

Half way through 2011 and Zac Efron was linked to another female celebrity. This time it was his High School Musical co star Ashley Tisdale. However, Ashley was furious about the rumours and made it perfectly clear that there was nothing going on between herself and Zac Efron and that there never was and never will be.

Then, later in the year, a rumour began to spread that Zac Efron was dating Emma Roberts after the couple were supposedly seen making out, while Emma was still dating Chord Overstreet. Once again though, the rumours did not develop into any sort of real relationship and Zac Efron continued to live the single life.

As well as being romantically linked to Taylor Swift recently, Zac Efron has also been rumoured to be dating Rumer Willis, the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. The couple have been spending a lot of time together and have been seen out and about on a number of occasions. Yet it seems that the rumour mill has gotten it wrong again, as friends of the couple claim that they are just very good friends.

So with Zac Efron already being romantically linked to a number of female stars, it will be interesting to see who the next one is, as it is bound to only be a matter of time before we get another Zac Efron dating story. Whether or not Zac Efron is actually dating anybody is still quite unclear and it appears that he is still single. Only time will tell.

Meanwhile, another insider explained, “Taylor thinks Zac’s cute but they are on totally different wavelengths.” Both Zac Efron and Taylor Swift have had fairly high profile relationships in the past, with Zac Efron dating Vanessa Hudgens and Taylor Swift dating Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner and Jake Gyllenhaal. However, do not get your hopes up of a new hot couple in Hollywood, as they are clearly just good friends.

The stakes are really high if you mess up, if you slack off and don’t make a good record, if you make mistakes based on the idea that you are larger than life and you can just coast.”

She added, “If you start thinking you’ve got it down, that’s when you run into trouble - either by getting complacent or becoming mouthy. And nobody likes that.” Taylor Swift recently revealed that her new album is set to deal with some earth shattering heartbreak. Taylor has recently been linked with a role in Les Misérables alongside Amanda Seyfried.

Country music sensation, Taylor Swift has revealed how she is planning to take her music in a new direction in the New Year, while still making sure that she gives her loyal fans what they love from her. Taylor admitted that she hopes to get quite a few collaborations on the go in 2012, with a variety of different artists that many people would be surprised by.

Swift explained, “I think my goal for the next couple of years would be to make departures in little ways and do things a little differently. I’ll try to maintain a balance between always providing your fans with what they’ve always liked from you and continuing to write all my own songs, but I’d love to make collaborations in different directions that aren’t exactly expected.”

Taylor Swift has once again proven that she is the Queen of Country Music in 2011 by dominating the Country Music categories at Award Events throughout the year. Taylor recently returned to Nashville, Tennessee, where she spent some valuable time with her family over the Christmas period, something which she always looks forward to doing, every year.
