There are only a few weeks remaining now until the David Fincher drama thriller The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo hits the big screen. So far, we have had a number of posters and pictures from the movie, as well as a couple of teaser trailers. Now, a brand new The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo movie trailer has been released and while it is quite a long one, it is well worth watching.

The new trailer for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is just over eight minutes long, so you get to learn much more about what to expect from this remake of the hit Swedish movie. As many of you will already know, the original version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was based on the smash hit novel by Stieg Larsson and now Hollywood has given its own take.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will star Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara. The story centres around the journalist Mikael Blomkvist, who is played by Daniel Craig, who is in search of a woman who has been missing for forty years and is assisted the young computer hacker Lisbeth Salander, played by Rooney Mara. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is released on December 21 in the US and December 26 in the UK, for now though, check out this trailer.

Rooney Mara is not a name that many people are familiar with but she is set to be catapulted into Hollywood superstardom, as the lead in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Rooney has revealed what, out of all of things her character does, she feared the most.

Mara explained, “There were certainly things I was scared to do, but I never thought I wasn’t up for the challenge. The motorcycle was the thing I really didn’t want to do. You know, you’re going to be raped, be naked but as soon as he was like, ‘You’re going to have to ride a motorcycle,’ I was like, ‘Oh, really?’”

Rooney Mara stars alongside Daniel Craig, Stellan Skarsgard and Robin Wright in the David Fincher directed, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The movie is an American remake of the Danish movie based on the Stieg Larsson novel. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is released on December 21 in the US and December 26 in the UK.
