Zoe Saldana discusses stylist difficulties
Zoe Saldana discusses stylist difficulties

Avatar actress Zoe Saldana has revealed how she spent many years looking for the perfect stylist for her but found it very difficult. That was before she met Petra Flannery, who is ranked as one of the top stylists in Hollywood, and has been Zoe’s stylist ever since.

Saldana explained to People, “I think it took me years. I would meet with [different stylists] and work with some of them, and I just never really understood until I found the synchronicity that I was looking for… As soon as Petra and I met, we had such an amazing chemistry.”

She added, “[Stylists] are such an important element to the composition of an artist’s image.” Zoe Saldana is one of a long list of celebrity clients for Petra Flannery, whose other clients include Emma Stone, Megan Fox, Mila Kunis, Faith Hill and Claire Danes.

It was recently revealed that Zoe Saldana would be appearing alongside Megan Fox in the movie Swindle. Zoe Saldana is also set to appear alongside Christian Bale in the movie Out of the Furnace and is currently filming the sequel to the J.J. Abrams movie Star Trek.
Drew Goddard talks Cloverfield 2
Drew Goddard talks Cloverfield 2

Drew Goddard, who was one of the key people involved in bringing the movie Cloverfield to the big screen, has revealed how he is very keen on being involved in a Cloverfield sequel. However, Drew admitted that it is difficult to get all of the relevant people in the same room at the same time.

Goddard explained, “I hope so. I mean, I’d like it to. Cloverfield was very much a dialogue between J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves and me. And you need those three parts. It’s just been hard because we’ve been busy. None of us wants to make a movie just for the sake of making a sequel. That’s just not interesting to us. I think we all have ideas of what we want to do, and they’re probably all different. But we need to sit down and get it together. I blame Star Trek.”

He then addressed whether the sequel would take on the same style as the original Cloverfield movie.

Drew added, I don’t know. If you’d asked me a year ago I would have said absolutely because I thought that was inherent to it. The thing about Cloverfield that was exciting was that it felt different, and we’d need to find whatever that is. We’d make it feel fresh and new, and if you asked each of us how we were going to do it we’d each have a different answer.”

He continued, “I’m in, I’m ready to do it. Someone call J.J. and tell him to get moving, but because Matt and J.J. and I have been fortunate enough to be busy, it’s hard syncing our schedules up. We’re all very passionate about returning to that world.”

So there you have it. Cloverfield 2 is definitely on the radar for Drew Goddard but it is just a case of getting everybody else in the same room. With Star Trek 2 not due out until next year, we could have to wait until 2015 to see a Cloverfield sequel.
Benedict Cumberbatch talks The Hobbit role
Benedict Cumberbatch talks The Hobbit role

Benedict Cumberbatch is set to be involved in some very big movies over the next couple of years, with a role in the J.J. Abrams Star Trek sequel, as well as playing Smaug and The Necromancer in the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings prequel, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Benedict has been talking about his role in The Hobbit and what a joy it was to work on the movie.

Cumberbatch explained, “I was very lucky [to work] with Pete [Jackson]. As far as the experience, what an extraordinary one it was because at the time I was in my work; I was in isolation with him and this incredible tag team. And at the very cool place with that technology doing mo-cap for two characters, Smaug the dragon and another character, which will remain nameless, and it was an awful lot of fun.”

He added, “It’s a sort of wonderful ongoing process, I spent a lot of time recording voice as well as doing movements. So, it was sort of freeing; it was fun. It was like playing a game. It’s going to be an amazing film; it’s going to be a real treat.” You can catch Benedict Cumberbatch in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which is set to be released on December 14, 2012.

Zachary Quinto talks Star Trek 2 leaked photo

Star Trek 2 actor Zachary Quinto has been discussing the scene of the movie which was caught by somebody with a camera, who then leaked the picture on to the internet. Zachary admitted that he had great fun doing the scene, which sees him alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in a fight scene, although he was a little worried when he saw the leaked.

Quinto explained, “It is awesome. We’ve been working on that sequence for five days.” Zachary then admitted that he was a little concerned that people would think that he leaked the photo and was quick to protest his innocence.

He added, “I was afraid they were going to think it was me who leaked that picture but it wasn’t. The picture leaking did not go over so well. They go to great lengths to preserve security.”

Zachary Quinto recently praised the new members of the Star Trek cast, which includes Benedict Cumberbatch and Alice Eve. Star Trek 2 is being directed by J.J. Abrams and will once again see Zachary Quinto team up with the likes of Chris Pine and Zoe Saldana when the movie is released in both the US and the UK on May 17, 2013.

Zoe Saldana has become one of the most sought after Hollywood actresses in recent years and while she waits for James Cameron to finish writing his Avatar sequels, she is currently in the process of filming another sequel. Zoe is set to reprise her role as Nyota Uhura in the next instalment of the J.J. Abrams Star Trek movies.

Saldana explained, “It’s wonderful because I’ve been dying to work with the cast again, to work with JJ. I love him so much. He’s such an amazing human being and such an amazing storyteller and a great director, so what more can I ask for? I start the year and I’m literally going back to a very familiar environment and being a part of a great story.”

She then joked that the Star Trek sequel will have a very dull and boring storyline. Zoe added, “It’s going to be boring. There’s no conflict between Kirk and Spock, they agree on everything! They’re beer buddies. And there are no bad guys. We’re just cruising in space.” The, as of yet, untitled Star Trek sequel is set to be released on May 17, 2013.
Bob Orci discusses Star Trek sequel script changes
Bob Orci discusses Star Trek sequel script changes

It was recently claimed by Star Trek actor Zachary Quinto that the script for the Star Trek sequel would be going under some changes and would be ever evolving. This caused a little confusion among a lot of people, so writer and producer Bob Orci has taken the time to clear the matter up and explain what exactly Zachary Quinto was talking about.

Orci explained, “The changes I suspect Quinto is referring to are the character interactions as we fine tune the level of their various friendships. How well they all know each other and what they’ve all been through off screen is a nuanced yet essential part of the actors understanding where they are coming from with each other. While discussing the exact same plot elements, what they’ve been through colors their attitude toward each other.”

He added, “And given that the time past in real life is different than the amount of time passed in the movie world, it takes a polish to get it just right. That’s what polishes are for.” The Star Trek sequel is currently without an official title but the J.J. Abrams movie has begun filming and is set to be released on May 17, 2013.
Noel Clarke discusses Star Trek 2

The J.J. Abrams Star Trek sequel is still over a year away but the interest in the movie is still incredibly huge. While a lot of the cast from the first Star Trek movie are set to return, there are also a number of new faces set to appear. One of those faces is English actor, director and writer Noel Clarke who has been talking a little about getting the role.

Clarke explained, “It was just an audition like all the others, really. You do your lines and see what happens, and luckily this time I got the job I was at home, in my kids’ room, because they were making noise in the living room! And yeah, I was told I’d got it, and yeah, I was happy. I was happy. I don’t get over-excited about things, because I’m just kind of like that. I’m happy, but a job is a job. You get some, some you don’t get. But you can’t get over-excited about stuff.”

He added, “I think it’s just one of those things where it’s another level of accomplishment where you’ve done another job that’s bigger than the ones you’ve done before … all of that stuff helps in your career Hopefully it will just help me with mine. But how people look at me is up to them.” Star Trek 2 is set to be released on May 17, 2013.
Zachary Quinto did not tell anybody that he was coming out as gay
Zachary Quinto did not tell anybody that he was coming out as gay

Star Trek actor Zachary Quinto has revealed that he did not inform anybody who already knew that he was gay, that he was actually going to come out as gay to the general public. Zachary admitted that he wanted to do the whole coming out thing on his own terms and did not want to be influenced by anyone else’s views on the matter.

Quinto explained, “I didn’t tell anybody I was going to do it. I didn’t tell my agent, I didn’t tell my business partners, I didn’t tell my publicists. It’s so funny, because obviously it was a huge decision for me, and I made it in a specific way. It was very much on my terms. But I never thought beyond the action of doing it. I never thought about the reaction it would generate. Honestly.”

Zachary Quinto came out as being gay back in October 2011, after learning of a teenage boy who had committed suicide due to homophobic bullying back in September 2011. Zachary Quinto and the rest of the cast and crew from Star Trek 2 began filming this week, with the current release date expected to be on May 17, 2013.
Alice Eve talks Star Trek 2
Alice Eve talks Star Trek 2

British actress Alice Eve has revealed how excited she is to be working on the JJ Abrams directed movie Star Trek 2, especially since it sees her reteam with British actor Benedict Cumberbatch. Alice and Benedict worked together on the British comedy Starter for 10 back in 2006 and Alice admitted that she cannot wait to work with Benedict again.

Eve explained, “I’m very excited to work with him again. He’s so very funny, Ben. I don’t know if you remember his character in Starter for 10, but he was so funny. Like King of the Geeks, but he did it so well, and I found a lot of that hard to get through because he was so funny. I like him very much.” Alice then revealed how much she was looking forward to filming Star Trek 2.

She added, “It’s similar to Starter for 10, from my point of view, in that there is a group of young actors who have a team spirit, which is always so revivifying to be a part of. When there’s a group of people who you can spend time with and work with and get to know, a real good experience, it’s kind of like going back to university or something, when everyone has got the same objective. There’s a lot of energy, and it’s a nice thing to be a part of that group.”

Alice concluded, “That’s the thing that excites me most about it. Obviously, there is a huge legacy there with Star Trek and the fanatics, so hopefully they’ll be satisfied.” Star Trek 2 has begun production and is set to be released on May 17, 2013 around the world.
Is Benicio Del Toro playing Khan in Star Trek 2?
Is Benicio Del Toro playing Khan in Star Trek 2?

There have been a lot of rumours flying around about the Star Trek 2 movie, since it was confirmed that Benicio Del Toro has signed up to star in the Star Trek sequel. The latest rumour is that Benicio Del Toro will be playing Khan in Star Trek 2 but that everybody involved with the movie would be quick to deny it, as they are not happy with the information being leaked.

Well one part of that rumour has already been revealed to be true and that is the denials that Benicio Del Toro will play Khan. Star Trek 2 director J.J. Abrams kept it short and simple without giving anything away when he denied that Khan would be played by Benicio Del Toro. Abrams simply responded by saying, “Not true”, which says it all really.

So it seems that Benicio Del Toro, who has still to officially sign on the dotted line for the Star Trek sequel, will not be playing Khan in Star Trek 2 but then again, the denials were expected. We will let you make up your own mind. Star Trek 2, which will once again star Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto, is set to begin shooting in January 2012, with the release date expected for May 17, 2013.
Chris Pine teases William Shatner Star Trek return
Chris Pine teases William Shatner Star Trek return

In the last Star Trek movie, we saw the return of an original Star Trek legend, when the Zachary Quinto young version of Spock, came face to face with the Leonard Nimoy old version of the character. Now, new Captain Kirk actor Chris Pine, has teased that there could be a possibility of seeing the return of the original Captain Kirk, William Shatner, in the new Star Trek sequel.

Pine explained, “It just isn’t, quite honestly, my decision to make. I think Mr. Shatner will forever be Captain Kirk. I think it would be, certainly, an interesting thing to bring him back. I don’t know if he necessarily wants to at this point or not. But it’s not my decision.” Chris then went on to talk about the first time he ever met William Shatner, at a charity event.

Pine added, “It was great. It was a very brief moment. It was at his charity event, so it had nothing to do with us meeting. It was more about raising money for his charity. But he was a lovely guy, really complimentary and very nice.” Star Trek 2 has had more than its fair share of delays but it appears to be making good progress now. Star Trek 2 is expected to be released in 2013.
Star Trek 2 encounters further delays
Star Trek 2 encounters further delays

Everybody has been eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Star Trek 2, the follow up to the hit 2009 movie but it has received delay after delay. Now it appears that the J.J. Abrams Star Trek sequel has been delayed yet again, as the release date has been moved even further back.

Star Trek 2 had a release date of June 29, 2012, but it was quite clear that, that was not going to be possible, considering how long the script writing had taken and the fact that they have not even started shooting the movie. J.J. Abrams even stated that he would not release the film until he thought it was good enough.

Now Paramount have announced that Star Trek 2 will not be getting released until 2013. That is quite some wait for us to see Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldana reprising their roles but wait we must. It wouldn’t be a surprise if they moved it even further between now and then.
