The X Factor USA star Marcus Canty shocked by Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul sacking
The X Factor USA star Marcus Canty shocked by Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul sacking

Former The X Factor USA contestant Marcus Canty has revealed how he was shocked when he learnt that judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul had been sacked. Marcus claims that he felt they were possibly the most honest of the judges.

Canty explained to MTV News, “I actually was kind of surprised [they left]. I thought it was a lot of drama on the show with Paula and Nicole, but they were so nice.”

He added, “I feel like Paula was honest. I feel like Nicole was honest - even in certain situations on the show that they got into, with me and Rachel [Crow] and at one point, me and Drew [Ryniewicz]. If I was in that situation, I probably wouldn’t know what to do.” He then reacted to the news of Britney Spears being lined up as a possible replacement.

Marcus continued, “Oh wow, I haven’t heard that one. Britney Spears, wow. That should be interesting. Britney Spears can be my mentor because, first of all, I was the entertainer. I know she would give me that pop I need. That’s definitely a great fit.”

Marcus Canty is currently signed to LA Reid's Epic Records.
Louis Walsh confirms Simon Cowell and Britney Spears talks for The X Factor USA
Louis Walsh confirms Simon Cowell and Britney Spears talks for The X Factor USA

The X Factor UK judge Louis Walsh has confirmed that recent reports claiming that Britney Spears could be set to join The X Factor USA are 100% true, as Simon Cowell is currently in discussions with the singer. Simon Cowell and The X Factor producers are currently looking for two female stars to replace the former judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul and it seems that Britney Spears may well be one of them.

Walsh explained, “I was out with Simon Cowell during the week, he’s in London. You know like you do and I know he is talking to Britney. He’s definitely talking to Britney to do his American show. Absolutely true!” Louis Walsh then discussed whether or not he would be returning for the UK version of The X Factor and whether thought his fellow judges would be returning.

He added, “I don’t know. OK, I think I’ll be back, I think Gary will be back. I think Tulisa will be back. Dermot’s definitely back! I’m not sure about Kelly. I’m not sure. No-one is contracted guys.” Simon Cowell currently has a lot of work on his hands to replace the outgoing stars olf both The X Factor USA and The X Factor UK before the two shows start later this year.

The X Factor USA’s Simon Cowell praises Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul

The X Factor creator Simon Cowell has revealed that he is impressed with how well and professionally Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul have responded since being axed from The X Factor USA. Simon claims that the reasons for their departure was now way negative on their performance and hopes to work with both of them again in the future.

Cowell explained, “I spoke to Paula on the night it was announced. I was going to speak to Nicole that night but we were on different time zones and couldn’t actually speak ourselves. They have both been incredibly gracious and respectful and I feel the same way about them. They are friends. There were certain reasons why the changes were made. Our shows always have to change and evolve over the years and this particular time it was decided to do it sooner rather than later.”

He added, “It wasn’t anything negative about them. I think there are huge opportunities for us working with them in different areas over the years and I’m not just saying that, I actually think it will happen.” Simon Cowell himself and LA Reid are the only two judges who will be returning for The X Factor USA season two, with a number of stars being linked to the two spare seats at the judges table.
Britney Spears to be new The X Factor USA judge?
Britney Spears to be new The X Factor USA judge?

It has been reported that singer Britney Spears is interested in becoming one of the new judges for the second season of the hit Fox singing competition The X Factor USA. Previous judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul have left The X Factor USA leaving two seats available at the judges table and Britney Spears would jump at the chance of taking one of those seats.

A friend of the singer explained, “She’s a huge fan of The X Factor and thinks it’s the perfect time for her to be a judge. She wants to show her fans she is back to her best and where better to do that than on national TV every week? She knows all about the ups and downs of pop fame. And with her schedule relatively clear she has the time to dedicate to a different project.”

A music industry insider then added, “Britney has had a tough few years but this would put her back at the very top. She would be great for the show and it could be great for her. In terms of excitement and intrigue Britney would top them all.” The X Factor creator Simon Cowell is still in discusses with the shows network Fox over who will be the two new judges for season two of The X Factor USA.
Kelly Rowland to be X Factor USA judge?
Kelly Rowland to be X Factor USA judge?

It has been reported that Kelly Rowland has put herself in the running for the vacant judging seats on The X Factor USA, admitting that she would absolutely love to be involved in the show. Kelly spent a lot of her time last year in the UK, where she was a judge on the UK version of The X Factor and claims that she would definitely be interested in being a judge on The X Factor USA.

Rowland explained, “It would be awesome to be a judge over here for X Factor. I really enjoyed my time over in the UK being a judge.” She then revealed what a great experience she had while working as a judge on the UK version of The X Factor. Kelly added, “The X Factor was a great opportunity and a great experience, and I would love to do it again.”

It was recently confirmed that only Simon Cowell and LA Reid would be returning to the judging panel for the second season of The X Factor, after Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul were let go from the show. There have been a number of names mentioned as possible replacements, including Mariah Carey and Katy Perry, so Kelly Rowland would certainly not be considered the first choice.
Who will be on the new The X Factor USA judging panel?
Who will be on the new The X Factor USA judging panel?

Well it seems that Simon Cowell has got a lot of work on his hands, since he decided to let go of two of the judges from The X Factor USA, which will return for its second season later this year. It was recently revealed that Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul would not be returning to the judging panel for season two of The X Factor USA, so who will be replacing them?

Well, so far we have had plenty of names flying around, with nobody yet to be officially confirmed. It was first suggested that Simon Cowell would be approaching Mariah Carey to join the reality singing competition, as one of the replacement judges. There has also been talk of Simon Cowell being interested in securing Katy Perry as a judge for The X Factor USA season two.

However, the one that has had most people licking their lips, is the rumour that Simon Cowell was preparing to offer Beyoncé a large amount of money to be one of the judges for the second season of The X Factor USA. Unfortunately though, Simon Cowell has since denied these reports. So with just Simon Cowell and LA Reid remaining from the first season of The X Factor USA, who would you like to see joining them for Season two of The X Factor USA?
Kelly Rowland pulls a Paula Abdul
Kelly Rowland pulls a Paula Abdul

Well, well, well. If it isn’t Kelly Rowland pulling a Paula Abdul. What is it about American women and crying all the time? I was highly aggravated by Paula Abdul when she acted like a baby and refused to pick between her two acts on The X Factor USA but at least she did give a name in the end. Now, Kelly Rowland has made the UK version look just as bad.

Kelly had to choose between her two acts, Janet Devlin and Misha B, with Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos both saying that they were sending home Janet. However, when it came to Kelly’s turn, she had a complete Paula Abdul style breakdown and refused to choose. It was obvious that Gary Barlow was going to send home Janet, so it didn’t really matter what Kelly said, but that is not the point.

Rules are point in place for a reason and by refusing to choose, she is breaking the rules. As I previously said, Frankie Cocozza was booted off for breaking the rules, so why should it be any different for Kelly Rowland. The X Factor UK has been quite a farce this year and they are certainly going to have to buck their ideas up next season. The singing has been average, the judges have been useless and the only redeeming factor has been Dermot O’Leary.

Praise the lord for Dermot O’Leary. Arriba!!
Paula Abdul The X Factor USA embarrassment
Paula Abdul The X Factor USA embarrassment

The X Factor USA judge Paula Abdul made a complete embarrassment out of herself on last night’s live results show and made the show look unorganised and unprofessional. It was cringe worthy too watch and Paula ultimately looked completely pathetic.

The childish judge refused to choose which act to send home, as both of her acts Dakota Rayne and Stereo Hogz found themselves in the bottom two. Simon Cowell did not look impressed as Paula cried and showed a blatant disregard to the show rules.

Frankie Cocozza was kicked off of the UK version of The X Factor for breaking the rules and Paula Abdul should face the same fate. The X Factor USA has come under much scrutiny in its debut season and this embarrassment will only add to its woes. In the end, Dakota Rayne were saved as Stereo Hogz were sent home but there is no doubt that Paula Abdul’s bratty behaviour will be the biggest talking point.
Who got eliminated from X Factor USA?
Who got eliminated from X Factor USA?

Well the first victim of the public vote on X Factor USA was revealed last night and it seems that America is clearly note a fan of the groups. Stereo Hogz and InTENsity found themselves in the bottom two, with the least amount of votes and had to have a sing off for survival.

It seemed fairly obvious which group the judges would be sending home, following the previous nights performances. However, based on the sing off performance, Simon Cowell chose to send Stereo Hogz home. Unfortunately for InTENsity, Nicole Scherzinger, LA Reid and Paula Abdul chose to send them home.

Simon Cowell seemed to believe that, with the success and popularity of Glee, there could be a place for InTENsity in the market. However, they were sent home, with almost every member of the group in tears. Stereo Hogz live to fight another day but it only seems like a matter of time before Paula Abdul finds herself without any groups left. X Factor USA continues on Wednesday at 8/7C on FOX.
Nicole Scherzinger is emotionally unstable?
Nicole Scherzinger is emotionally unstable?

Is it just me or have The X Factor USA made a massive mistake by replacing Cheryl Cole with cry baby Nicole Scherzinger? She is either extremely unstable, a complete emotional wreck or just trying to play up to the cameras. It annoys the hell out of me.

Someone sings a sad song, she cries. Someone sings a happy song, she cries. Someone sings in general and she seems to cry. I thought Paula Abdul’s ridiculous dancing and LA Reid’s attempt head bops were annoying but Nicole has taken it to another level.

I think The X Factor USA has a lot of talented contestants in it, even more so than the UK version. However, Simon Cowell is the only person not annoying me at the moment. His arrogant charm is what is making me continue to watch the show. Nicole Scherzinger needs taking to one side and telling to man up.
US X Factor premiere
US X Factor premiere
The official world premiere of the US X Factor took place earlier this week and one of the shows judges, Paula Abdul made sure she would steal the spotlight from her fellow judges. Paula was all smiles as she knew that everybody would be focusing on her at the event.

Abdul turned up to the premiere, which took place ArcLight Theatre in Hollywood, CA, wearing a short, tight fitting dress and a pair of Ruthie Davis “Spikette” heels.

The shoes had a 5 inch heel and were studded with rhinestones and spikes. They are believed to have cost around $1400.

The US X Factor has had a lot of controversy surrounding it since it was announced that the show was going stateside. Cheryl Cole was on the judging panel, along with Simon Cowell, LA Reid and Paula, for the L.A. and Chicago auditions but was then sacked and replaced by Nicole Scherzinger. The US X Factor is set to air on FOX on September 21.
X Factor US Auditions Teased

X Factor US Auditions Teased

It appears with the release of the new feature length promotional tape for US X Factor, that Simon Cowell has a new catchphrase, saying ‘It’s more than just a voice. It’s something else’.

With the arrival of US Factor just around the corner and expectation so ridiculously high that every commentator in the free world is throwing there two cents in, Simon Cowell’s X Factor which is due to air on Fox, previewed a long sort of teaser between programs on Sunday night.

The preview showed all of the new panellists which consist of  Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger, who replaced Cheryl Cole. A long with the more crazy and emotional manipulative selection of contestants.

True to form, the very first contestant shown was one, which had a heart tugging story, declaring how her family was pot less saying “My family has, like, no money”. Many were wondering if the format would change much from the UK version of The X Factor, and it appears, true to form and expectation the same style of emotional blackmail will be applied for the US version.
