Ian Somerhalder discusses The Vampire Diaries Damon and Stefan relationship

The Vampire Diaries actor Ian Somerhalder, who plays the character Damon in the hit The CW vampire series, has been discussing the relationship between his character and his brother Stefan (Paul Wesley). The two vampires are caught in a love triangle with Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Ian admits that it is all set to come to a head.

Somerhalder explained to TV Guide, “What’s interesting about what’s happening right now is the dynamic between the brothers. The episode coming up is really about these brothers overcoming their disdain for each other.”

He added, “[They’re] ultimately realising that family is really embedded into the fabric of who we are and if you can connect with that it’s really powerful.”

Ian continued, “This whole Damon-Elena-Stefan thing is coming to a head. Stefan (Paul Wesley) knows that there are feelings flying around between the three of them and he’s man enough to understand that this is a symptom of love and how complicated it can be.” Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are currently dating each other off screen, as well as being love interests on screen.

The Vampire Diaries continues on The CW every Thursday at 8/7c.

Candice Accola teases The Vampire Diaries lover reunion

The Vampire Diaries actress, Candice Accola, who plays the character Caroline in the hit The CW vampire television series, has teased to TV Guide that she will be reunited with Tyler in a future episode of the show.

Accola explained, “Caroline and Tyler will be reunited. Caroline is playing into Klaus’s games so much at this point because she has her own game going. She’s saying, ‘Well if you really care, let him go, release him’. She’s been doing her own work to release the bond back in Mystic Falls so we’re going to see if that pays off.”

Candice then went on to reveal that in the upcoming episode of The Vampire Diaries, fans will see Caroline become a mentor to Abby (Persia White) as she begins to make the transition into a fully fledged vampire.

“Caroline and Bonnie were gone [last episode] to help Abby with her transition. It’s taking a toll on Abby. We’re going to learn about what happens when a witch transitions and how that differs emotionally. I love that Caroline’s taken a note from Stefan (Paul Wesley) last season and has become a mentor for others throughout their transition.”

The Vampire Diaries airs on Thursday nights on The CW.

Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder have become two of the hottest vampires on television, thanks to their performances in the hit The CW vampire series The Vampire Diaries. Now the two actors have been discussing their characters and what fans should expect in the future with TV Line.

Wesley explained, “The fans should definitely maintain some hope. The thing to remember is that Stefan and Elena (Nina Dobrev) have this love that is so strong, and it was sort of the core of season one - you can’t entirely disregard that.”

He added, “But I’m also not against it. I just feel like things have to happen naturally, and I don’t want anything force-fed. I don’t want the audience to get sick of any one relationship. Quite truthfully, I think they needed to break up - and I think eventually they’ll need to get back together.”

Ian Somerhalder then admitted that Damon and Stefan love each other, despite their differences. He saud, “They’re the only two that know each other and understand each other. And at the end of the day they do love each other and they have to take care of each other.”

Torrey DeVitto and her husband Paul Wesley both star in the hit The CW vampire television series The Vampire Diaries and Paul is involved in an onscreen love triangle with Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder. The three of them recently did a nude photo shoot together for Valentine’s Day, something which most women would be concerned about their husband doing but not Torrey, she loved it.

DeVitto explained, “Love it. Love it. I was actually at the shoot. I was watching them do it, and I just think it looks amazing. I think he looks incredible, Ian looks incredible, Nina looks beautiful. I love it. I was like, if I was a single girl and I walked past this on Valentine’s Day, I’d buy it.” Nina Dobrev also admitted that she loves it, although she did find it a little uncomfortable at times.

She added, “Love it. I’ve never been so naked in my life. Those kind of photo shoots, and those kinds of scenes, are always a little uncomfortable.” You can catch Torrey DeVitto, her husband Paul Wesley and both Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder in The Vampire Diaries, which continues on The CW on Thursday nights.

The Vampire Diaries Torrey DeVitto discusses Dr. Fell’s relationship with Damon

The Vampire Diaries actress Torrey DeVitto is married to her co star Paul Wesley in real life but what does the future hold for the couple’s characters in the hit The CW vampire television series. Well Torrey has revealed how her character Dr. Fell is not easily won over by Paul’s character Damon and in fact falls for his friend Alaric.

DeVitto explained, “When you have two strong personalities in the room, they kind of go back and forth with each other because neither one of them is gonna back down. She doesn’t fall for the lure that is Damon. She’s obviously attracted to his friend Alaric. She’s not even scared of Damon. She doesn’t buy it. I think all his little tricks and things don’t work on her like they do other girls.”

She added, “Damon is protective over Alaric as a friend, as he should be. The guy has a really tragic love track record. Damon wants to figure out what this girl’s all about. Is she gonna be trouble, is she not gonna be trouble? Are her intentions true, are they not true? He’s just really trying to scope her out.” The Vampire Diaries airs on The CW every Thursday night.

Torrey DeVitto reveals husband Paul Wesley’s The Vampire Diaries advice

The Vampire Diaries actress Torrey DeVitto has revealed exactly what advice her husband Paul Wesley gave her about the show before she joined him on the hit The CW vampire series and it appears that he was maybe not as helpful as he could have been. Torrey claims that Paul gave her absolutely no advice whatsoever but she admitted that it is only because she does not like taking peoples advice.

DeVitto explained “Let’s see. No, not really. Obviously I ask my family and loved ones for advice here and there, but I kind of have a rule with the people I love that surround me, close family and close friends, that unless I ask for it, I don’t really want advice thrown out. I’m someone who so easily gets in my own head, so if I get some type of conflicting thing stuck in my head, I’ll be stuck on that forever.”

She added, “So I like to test everything out myself, and then if I need help, I come around.” You can see Torrey DeVitto, as Dr. Meredith Fell, starring alongside her husband Paul Wesley, as Stefan Salvatore, when The Vampire Diaries airs on The CW every Thursday night.
Joseph Morgan teases Klaus love life in The Vampire Diaries
Joseph Morgan teases Klaus love life in The Vampire Diaries

The Vampire Diaries actor Joseph Morgan, who plays Klaus in the hit The CW vampire television series, has revealed how his character is set to fall in love in the coming episodes of the show. Fans of the show where given a teaser as to whether Klaus and Caroline (Candice Accola) would up their relationship on a romantic level but Joseph would not let on to who his character falls for.

Morgan explained, “He’s used to people bending over backwards for him and just completely giving in to him, and this person is not going to do that. That’s only going to make him more intrigued and more enticed by her. She’s got some pretty good reasons for keeping him at arm’s length, but he’s persistent. He’s learned a little patience the last 1,000 years.”

He added, “The relationship where he’s trying to woo someone and where he really is falling in love with someone - that is exciting.” Joseph Morgan also revealed how Klaus and Stefan (Paul Wesley) were set to get extremely violent with each as the season progresses. The Vampire Diaries continues on The CW every Thursday at 8/7c.
Paul Wesley loves bad Stefan
Paul Wesley loves bad Stefan

The Vampire Diaries actor Paul Wesley has revealed that he does not want his character Stefan to go back to being good, as he is having too much fun playing the bad boy. Paul admitted that he understands that too much of the same can become a bit boring but he hopes that he can continue playing bad Stefan for a little while longer yet.

Wesley explained, “There’s layers of humanity, regret and sadness in his eyes, but it’s all sort of masked by this sociopathic, raging maniac who’s scaring her to death. His relationship with Elena (Nina Dobrev) is sort of the antithesis of what it was, which was this really romantic, soft, protective relationship.”

He added: “Elena is the key to everything in Stefan’s battle with Klaus, and Stefan will go to any extreme to get what he needs, which makes him much more terrifying. I don’t want the arc to end. I don’t want to go back to being the good guy. Julie said we’re going to milk it as long as we can. I also understand that things get old. Hopefully this is still new and fresh.”

Paul concluded, “You know, he was the good guy for two years. Maybe I can do another two years as the bad guy to balance it out! I think everybody likes playing the bad boy.” The Vampire Diaries continues on Thursday nights on The CW at 8/7c.
The Vampire Diaries to see badass Stefan
The Vampire Diaries to see badass Stefan

Julie Plec, the executive producer on the hit The CW vampire series The Vampire Diaries, has revealed how Stefan, played by Paul Wesley, is set to become a bit of a badass in the mould of Jack Bauer and Chuck Norris. Julie admitted that Stefan will be going all out in his attempts to bring an end to the Original Vampire aka Klaus, who is played by Joseph Morgan.

Plec explained, “We get the sense that this guy, who used to be much more concerned with protecting collateral damage, now has no concerns about who might get hurt as he tries to get Klaus to back off. The hybrids are contributing to the sense of unease that Elena and her friends have about living in this town, and Klaus is relishing everybody’s paranoia.”

She added, “Stefan is sort of like, ‘No way, get ‘em out. You’re not gonna get ‘em out? I’ll get ‘em out for you’. So Stefan starts going all Jack Bauer-Chuck Norris on them.” You can see The Vampire Diaries when it returns to The CW with a brand new episode on Thursday, January 5 at 8/7c.

Paul Wesley loves his new The Vampire Diaries role
The Vampire Diaries actor Paul Wesley has revealed how he loves the fact that his character Stefan has turned bad, as he gets to play a different role to that he has in previous seasons. Paul confirmed that, as season three progresses, Stefan will get worse and worse.

Wesley explained, “We open up this season - and I don’t want to give too much away - but it’s kind of like we’re at the precipice of something happening. We’re at this point where he’s still holding on to a bit of that old part of himself. As the story progresses we see his journey, his struggle, his disease take over, this darkness, and it sort of turns into a Stefan that has no morals.”

He then added, “That’s really, really fun to play. I get to play a whole new character and I get to do something that I have never done, and the audiences get to see me in a way that they never would’ve expected.” The Vampire Diaries continues every Thursday on The CW.

Ian Somerhalder tips The Vampire Diaries to kick ass
32 year old The Vampire Diaries actor Ian Somerhalder has claimed that he expects the latest season of the hit CW vampire show to kick some ass. Ian also admitted that the whole of the cast get along so well and there is very rarely any tension on set.

Somerhalder explained, “The whole Twilight thing is about to be over. And teenage girls can’t watch True Blood with their parents - that would just get weird. So we’re getting ready to kick some major ass this season.” He added, “[It’s] a total frickin’ lovefest.”

Ian Somerhalder has previously teased fans about what they can expect to see happen between his character Damon and Elena, played by Nina Dobrev. He has also suggested what could happen between Damon and Stefan, played by Paul Wesley. The Vampire Diaries season three premieres on CW on September 15.
