Jessica Chastain reveals perks of fame
Jessica Chastain reveals perks of fame

The Tree of Life actress Jessica Chastain has revealed how she is a big fan of some of the perks that come with being famous and makes sure she takes advantage where she can. Jessica claims that since she became a household name, she has had access to a number of different designers and loves the fact that she gets to wear some of the most beautiful dresses in the world.

Chastain explained, “I now have more access, which is amazing. I’ve always wanted to wear stuff like this, I’ve just never been given the access. That’s what has changed for me. I’m not a model, and everything looks better when you’re six feet tall and you’re gorgeous and rail thin. On the runway, everything looks better. I can’t do [some] outfits justice, so I will not go there.”

Jessica Chastain has had a fantastic rise to fame over the past year or two and is certainly reaping the rewards that her hard work deserves. Jessica wowed onlookers at last weekend’s Oscars, as she arrived looking simply stunning in a gorgeous Alexander McQueen dress. Jessica has also been included in the Vogue top ten best dressed list.
Eddie Murphy still wants to host Oscars
Eddie Murphy still wants to host Oscars

Hollywood comedian Eddie Murphy has revealed that he would still love to one day have a shot at hosting the Oscars, despite the fact that he pulled out as host for the 2012 Oscars. Eddie admits that it is one of the very few things that he has left to do in show business, which he has not yet accomplished in his 35 years as an actor.

Murphy explained, “It’s still something that I would like to do one day, because all the best comics have done it. It’s one of the few things I haven’t done in my 35 years in this business, so I would like to have that be part of my resume as well. If they ask me again, maybe I’ll do it… one day.” Eddie then went on to praise Billy Crystal for doing such a great job as host.

He added, “I thought Billy did a wonderful job. Billy’s done it so many times, he can’t not do a good job. He’s really solid at that.” Eddie Murphy was replaced by Billy Crystal as the 2012 Oscars host after he decided to pull out of hosting the Academy Awards. Eddie pulled out in support of his friend Brett Ratner, who was forced to withdraw from producing the show due to an anti gay slur.
Lindsay Lohan hopeful of Oscar glory
Lindsay Lohan hopeful of Oscar glory

Mean Girls actress Lindsay Lohan has revealed how she hopes that she can one day prove herself as a serious actress and maybe even walk away with an Oscar to her name. Lindsay was asked where she could see herself in five years time and she responded by suggesting that she would have just been to the Academy Awards the previous weekend.

Lohan explained, “Hopefully I’ll just have come from the Oscars this past weekend. I just want to kind of work, I want to be able to work to the point where I can just go on a vacation with my family, and then have the premieres and be happy for that. I love that feeling. Being able to share what I do with people who go see the film. I want that.”

Lindsay Lohan is adamant that she is going to turn her life around after a string of problems in her personal life over the past few years. Lindsay is set to hit the big screen in the next year or so, playing the role of the legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor. Casting is still being completed for the movie, which is set to begin production later this year.
Ryan Seacrest discusses Sacha Baron Cohen Oscars prank
Ryan Seacrest discusses Sacha Baron Cohen Oscars prank

Ryan Seacrest has revealed how he had no idea what was going to happen, when Sacha Baron Cohen approached him for an interview on the red carpet at the Oscars 2012. Sacha was at the Oscars as his character from his upcoming movie The Dictator and was carrying an urn with the face of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il on it. He then emptied the urn all over the jacket of Ryan Seacrest before being dragged away by security.

Seacrest explained, “I definitely did not know that he was going to do that. He comes over, and I asked him a couple of questions, but, you know that feeling in your gut. You feel like, ‘This is going too normally’. I saw the urn coming up. It was getting closer to my chest, and then it tipped over, and it wasn’t the wind. He spilt it on my tuxedo.”

Ryan Seacrest also admitted that it could have been much worse, if he had not followed his mothers advice, who told him “always make sure to bring two jackets, because you never know what’s going to happen”. Many other celebrities have criticised Sacha Baron Cohen for the prank, with Jonah Hill claiming that he does not believe that the Oscars is the place to upsell your own movie.
Michelle Williams daughter Matilda enjoys Oscars preparation
Michelle Williams daughter Matilda enjoys Oscars preparation

It has been claimed that Michelle Williams daughter Matilda thoroughly enjoys the preparation that goes into the build up to the Oscars 2012. Busy Philipps, a fellow actress and friend of Michelle Williams has revealed how six year old Matilda and her own daughter Birdie Leigh love to get involved in the preparation for the Oscars 2012.

Philipps explained, “Both of our daughters will be around, that’s always a little chaotic. The little girls like to see their moms get dressed up and then they don’t want us to leave. Matilda’s got all her family with her and my daughter will be with them and my husband. So I think they’re going to be together. We’ll have them have a little play date. So cute.”

She added, “She has. We both have.” It was recently suggested that Michelle Williams would be hoping that Victoria Beckham would design her Oscars 2012 dress for her but it is unclear whether or not that is the case. Michelle Williams will be keeping her fingers crossed that she finally manages to take home an Oscar, as she is nominated in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role category for her performance in My Week With Marilyn.

Victoria Beckham Oscar designs for Cameron Diaz, Charlize Theron and Gwyneth Paltrow
Victoria Beckham Oscar designs for Cameron Diaz, Charlize Theron and Gwyneth Paltrow

It has been reported that singer turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham is in big demand by a whole host of Hollywood A listers, who want Victoria to design their outfits for the forthcoming Oscars ceremony. It is believed that actress such as Charlize Theron, Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz, all want to be wearing a Victoria Beckham dress on the red carpet.

However, it is not yet clear whether or not Victoria and her team will be able to make the dresses. An insider explained, “We do have requests in from stylists for the Oscars, but as our team is so small we don’t have the opportunity to custom make dresses like the bigger fashion houses. Nor do we have the big budgets to pay people to endorse our brand, so it’s really a waiting game and we won’t know until the night if any of our dresses will be worn.”

Victoria Beckham has recently set off to New York with her daughter Harper, where she will be attending the New York Fashion Week. It is believed that Victoria will be unveiling some of her latest collection at the event, where she is beginning to make quite a name for herself.
Daniel Radcliffe slams Harry Potter Oscar snub
Daniel Radcliffe slams Harry Potter Oscar snub

Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe has revealed how he had found it quite upsetting that the final movie in the franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, did not receive any Oscar nominations in the acting or directing categories. Daniel admitted that he and the rest of the cast and crew had come to realise that there are more important things than nominations.

Radcliffe explained, “I don’t think the Oscars like commercial films, or kids’ films, unless they’re directed by Martin Scorsese. I was watching Hugo the other day and going, ‘Why is this nominated and we’re not?’ I was slightly miffed. There’s a certain amount of snobbery. It’s kind of disheartening. I never thought I’d care.”

He added, “I think we’ve all made peace with that in a way,” he commented. “There are so many things to enjoy being part of this whole series of films, most of all the affection of the fans and the fact that there’s a global community who follow these stories with great passion.” Daniel Radcliffe can currently be seen on the big screen in his latest movie The Woman in Black.

The 2012 Academy Awards are just around the corner and former Dawsons Creek actress Michelle Williams has been nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for her performance in My Week With Marilyn. Michelle has admitted how she feels very grateful to get the recognition from the Academy and admitted that it is a testament to the legacy of Marilyn Monroe.

Williams explained, “I am so grateful to be acknowledged by the Academy for my work, which was made possible by the support of our director Simon Curtis and the camaraderie of a terrific ensemble of actors. A special congratulations to Kenneth Branagh and the fearless Harvey Weinstein.”

She added, “This role has been the challenge and privilege of a lifetime. I would like to think that the recognition our film has received by the Academy is a testament to Marilyn’s legacy.” Michelle Williams face stiff competition in the Best Actress category from Glenn Close (Albert Nobbs), Viola Davis (The Help), Rooney Mara (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Meryl Streep (The Iron Lady). This years Oscars are set to take place on February 26, 2012 live on exclusively on ABC.
Robert De Niro on the hunt for more Oscars
Robert De Niro on the hunt for more Oscars

It seems that 68 year old Hollywood legend Robert De Niro is not content to give up on acting until he has added a further, three more Oscars to the two that he already has. Robert has revealed that he wants to have one Oscar for each of his kids.

De Niro explained, “If I had one to give to each of my kids, that would be fine. But I don’t, and I can’t give one to one and not to the other.” Robert won his two Academy Awards for Best Actor for his performance in the 1980 flick Raging Bull and Best Actor in a Supporting Role for the 1974 classic The Godfather: Part II.

As well as his two wins, Robert De Niro has also been nominated for an Oscar a further four times. However his ambition to win another three and take his tally to five seems highly unlikely as the record wins for Oscars is four by Katharine Hepburn and Clint Eastwood.
Jonah Hill lost weight for health reasons

Jonah Hill lost weight for health reasons

We have documented Jonah Hill’s dramatic weight loss intensely over the past six months, and it turns out it is accredit in small part to the film Moneyball and his career direction

When speaking to the Sun Times, Jonah Hill talked about his reasoning’s and drive for his weight loss, when asked if it was for the role in Moneyball or for his own health concerns he responded smiling “That was purely because I wanted to be healthier. But I don’t think it hurts in trying for different roles. When you’re overweight, you can’t play someone who’s not overweight”

Jonah Hill was more surprised than anyone when asked if he thought he was right for the role in Moneyball saying “I was probably at the very bottom of a long list of people who probably have Oscars or Oscar nominations.”.

Jonah Hill has a ton of films coming out over the course of the next year, and one of his latest offerings will be the movie The Sitter where its expected it will be the last time you see a larger Jonah Hill.

Eddie Murphy honoured to host Oscars
Eddie Murphy honoured to host Oscars
Hollywood comedy legend Eddie Murphy has revealed that he is honoured to add his name to the list of greats who have hosted the Oscars. Eddie was rumoured to be hosting the Academy Awards earlier this week and has now been officially confirmed.

Murphy said, “I am enormously honored to join the great list of past Academy Award hosts from Hope and Carson to Crystal, Martin and Goldberg, among others. I’m looking forward to working with Brett and Don on creating a show that is enjoyable for both the fans at home and for the audience at the Kodak Theatre as we all come together to celebrate and recognize the great film contributions and collaborations from the past year.”

Eddie Murphy has never actually won an Oscar but he was nominated in 2007 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for Dreamgirls. Eddie has a lot of experience on the big stage and his comedic talent is sure to shine through. It is definitely a statement of intent after the shambles of last years awards.
