Singer Demi Lovato appeared in her MTV documentary earlier this week and admitted that, while she has seeked help for her problems, they will never completely leave her 100%. Demi admitted that, since she has received treatment for her problems, she has still had the occasional relapse but claims that the support from her fans is what keeps her going forward every day.
Lovato explained, “I cannot tell you that I have not thrown up since treatment. I cannot tell you that I have not cut myself since treatment. I’m not perfect. An addiction is an obsession, something that takes over your mind and your every thought. You think that you can’t live without it. For me, it was not eating and purging and self-harming.”
She added, “If you took away music, I wouldn’t have a reason to live. Every time someone asks me for a picture or an autograph, even if I’m having a bad day and I’m in a bad mood, I remember, ‘You’re nothing without this person’. They make it special.”
Did you manage to catch the Demi LovatoMTV documentary? If so, what did you think of it?
Singer and former Disney actress Demi Lovato let MTV cameras into her life to give her fans more of an insight into what she has had to go through and she admits that it was not the easiest experience ever. Demi claims that she struggled to open up to the cameras to start with but once she got used to them being around, she soon relaxed.
Lovato explained, “I was most definitely nervous about opening up to the cameras. And I was very hesitant to say certain things, but once I was around them for a while, I felt more comfortable and really opened up towards them. My goals for my fans? It’s to really inspire people. That’s all I hope to accomplish. If there is a young girl at home dealing with the same issues that I’m dealing with, I want to be able to reach out to her and tell her that it’s going to be okay.”
She added, “You know, I speak about a lot of serious issues and I really hope to get awareness out there about the issues that I dealt with. But at the end of the day, I just want people to see what it’s like to be in my shoes. I kind of talked about the journey that I’ve been on and I just want people to take away a positive message. It gets better, you know?” Stay Strong is set to premiere in the US on MTV on March 6.

US clothing brand Abercrombie and Fitch have been mocked by both MTV and Mike Sorrentino, aka The Situation, after they offered Sorrentino money to stop wearing their clothes. However, since making the offer, Abercrombie and Fitch’s stock has dropped 9%.
Abercrombie and Fitch released a statement saying, “We are deeply concerned that Mr Sorrentino’s association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image.” It continued, “We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans.”
However, The Situation learned of the company’s stock dive and responded via his official Twitter page. He wrote, “Looks like Abercrombie got themselves into a Situation!” He then added, “Thanks #SituationNation for always having my back and you are the best fans in the world! I love you guys!”
Never to miss an opportunity to get involved in some free publicity, MTV also mocked the Abercrombie and Fitch situation. A spokesperson for the network quipped, “It’s a clever PR stunt and we’d love to work with them on other ways they can leverage Jersey Shore to reach the largest youth audience on television.” It will be interesting to see if Abercrombie and Fitch continue to sell their The Fitchuation t-shirts.

19 year old Black-D’Elia took to her official Twitter page to try and get 21 year old Jack to help her out. She tweeted, “Need specific Brit accent for an audition. Help a fellow ex Skins kid out, @JackO__C! Preferably personally :)”. Jack has yet to respond.
Sofia Black-D’Elia was still a very young actress when Skins US was cancelled and she was not afraid to let MTV know how upset she was at the decision. The role Sofia is looking to audition for is not yet known but it is believed she is attempting to make her way into movies.
MTV star Johnny Bananas has revealed that he is set to “fight vigorously” against network HBO unless they desist in using the cartoon, Johnny’s Bananas in their hit show Entourage. Johnny, real name Johnny Devenanzio, claims that HBO are using his brand identity to boost their shows profile.
Devenanzio took to his MTVBananasTwitter account to express his distress claiming, “the cartoon ape they seemed to create out of thin air, who just so happens to go by the name Johnny Bananas — is in no way coincidental.” However, the cartoon ape he mentions does not go by the name Johnny Bananas, it simply goes by the name Johnny. The Bananas part of the title relates to the characters anger issues, as when he gets mad, he goes “bananas”.
Also the name of the show was not simply created out of thin air. It is based on the Entourage character Johnny “Drama” Chase, who has anger issues of his own. It seems to us that his argument is highly flawed and is unlikely to succeed in the removal of Johnny’s Bananas from HBO’s Entourage.
