Louis Walsh set to trash Cheryl Cole in new book?
Louis Walsh set to trash Cheryl Cole in new book?

It seems that Louis Walsh cannot let go of the fact that Cheryl Cole criticised his management skills while he was manager of the girl band Girls Aloud. Cheryl claimed that Louis was only in it for the money, which has made The X Factor judge very upset.

Walsh explained to Heat magazine, “What is she peddling this time? Eyelashes or hairspray? It’s definitely not her music! At least I am still on The X Factor and happy to be there. I’m a much better manager than she is a singer. She seems to be in the fashion business now, selling fake hair pieces, fake eyelashes, fake everything.”

He added, “Has anyone ever heard her sing live or a cappella? If she comes back on The X Factor, she needs to sing live this time. I don’t know why she’s started this war with me.”

Louis continued, “I’ve always liked her - she’s a very good looking girl, but obviously not the best singer in Girls Aloud. Nadine is - I always said that. Cheryl is a great clothes horse. Nice girl, but likes to get her own way. I’ve got two words to say: vocal lessons. When I write my book, I’ll tell the real story of Cheryl.”

The X Factor judge Louis Walsh has hit back at former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole regarding recent claims she made about him managing Girls Aloud. Cheryl said that Louis was the Girls Aloud manager by name and was happy to get paid but was never really involved with the group.

Walsh told The Mirror, “As far as I’m concerned, our friendship is over. I’ve no idea why she made these comments but it says a lot about her. I was always the first to defend her on the X Factor, and always watched her back. I thought we were friends.”

He added, “I won’t stand for anyone criticising me professionally and if I was in London right now I’d give her a piece of my mind.” Louis Walsh claims that he was one of the people who stood by Cheryl Cole when she was axed from The X Factor USA.

Louis said at the time, “’I talked to Cheryl today - we’ve been texting all day and we’re having fun. I think she’s going to be fine.” Walsh also previously claimed that he would love for Cheryl Cole to return to The X Factor UK. However, it seems that things may now be a little different.

Walsh explained to The Mirror, “I am so happy to have signed up for another year. It’s my ninth year, I’m the only person to be in it for nine years… I’m busy now from here until Christmas. I signed the deal yesterday - making it my ninth year on the show.

He added, “I never wanted to be on TV, it was never in my plan. But now I’m on it, I love the show. I know two of the judges who are going to be beside me, but I still don’t know who the fourth is going to be just yet.”

Louis continued, “I know for definite that Tulisa [Contostavlos] is back, and Gary [Barlow] is back. I’m not sure if Kelly is back, but I hope she is, because she worked really hard last year.”

The X Factor is set to return to ITV later this year.
Who is responsible for One Direction success?
Who is responsible for One Direction success?

It seems that everybody is looking to get a bit of credit for the huge success that British boyband One Direction are currently enjoying. One Direction are not only huge in the UK but they are also becoming huge in the US, where they recently entered at number one with their debut album Up All Night.

Now everybody is trying to get in on the One Direction success. Recently, former X Factor judge, Cheryl Cole, claimed that she is responsible for the success of One Direction, tweeting “Remember who really mentored you when @simoncowell wasn’t there LMAO!! #proudofyouboys.”

While there is a clear joking tone to the tweet, it was still unnecessary for her to tweet it, if she did not feel that way to some degree. However, current X Factor judge Louis Walsh was more blatant about wanting credit for the success of One Direction.

Louis said, “I just want it to be noted that I’m taking some of the credit because I helped put that band together.” However, i think everybody is in agreement that Simon Cowell has to take a lot of the credit, as well as the One Direction boys themselves and the songwriters involved in the Up All Night album.

Who do you think should take the most credit for the success of One Direction?

Irish, The X Factor judge, Louis Walsh, has revealed how he wants people to give him some of the credit for the success of the British boyband One Direction. Louis was part of the judging panel that chose to put the five boys together at The X Factor auditions and states that he wants some recognition for that.

Walsh told Irish Daily Star, “I’m really pleased for them - it’s an incredible achievement. I just want it to be noted that I’m taking some of the credit because I helped put that band together.”

Louis then continued by accepting that a lot of the praise for the achievements of One Direction recently, especially in the US, has to go to Simon Cowell. Walsh claims that Cowell has had complete belief in One Direction from the day they were formed.

He added, “One Direction are number one in America because Simon made it happen. From the very start he’s always believed this act could break internationally and crack the American market. He has been proved right. I really don’t think anyone else could have done it but Simon.”

One Direction are set to go on a 20 date North American tour later this year.

JLS singer Oritse Williams pens songs for Usher and Jedward

JLS singer Oritse Williams has revealed how he has been writing songs nonstop and has even offered one of his songs out to Usher but has yet to hear anything back. However, Oritse has had one of his songs snapped up, by Irish duo Jedward.

Williams explained, “I write songs and try songwriting for other people as much as possible. I keep writing and writing. I pitched a song for Usher the other day and haven’t heard anything back yet, but I wrote a song for Jedward - their last single ‘Wow Oh Wow’.”

He added, “It wasn’t widely known. I didn’t initially write the song for them, but when they were looking for songs, I thought it would be perfect. Louis Walsh called me up and said, ‘I heard you wrote this song. Can I use it for Jedward?’ and I said, ‘Why not? Go for it’.”

Oritse then revealed a few of the people that he would love to writ with, adding, “I’d love to write with Ne-Yo, or Bruno Mars, and also Gary Barlow. One day, if there is an opportunity, I’ll take it up.”

Janet Jackson rejects The X Factor USA

It has been reported that Janet Jackson has taken herself out of the running for a place at the judges table in the second series of The X Factor USA. The show is currently in search of two new female judges, following the departure of Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, however Janet claims that it is simply not possible for her to be a judge on the show at this time.

The statement said, “There have been absolutely no meetings between Janet and anyone with regard to X Factor.” It was recently claimed that Britney Spears would be interested in becoming one of the new judges on The X Factor USA and Louis Walsh, who is a judge on the UK version of the show, confirmed that Simon Cowell is currently in talks with the Hit Me Baby (One More Time) singer.

Simon Cowell and The X Factor producers are currently looking for two female stars to replace the former judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul and it seems that Britney Spears may well be one of them.

Walsh explained, “I was out with Simon Cowell during the week, he’s in London. You know like you do and I know he is talking to Britney. He’s definitely talking to Britney to do his American show. Absolutely true!” Louis Walsh then discussed whether or not he would be returning for the UK version of The X Factor and whether thought his fellow judges would be returning.

He added, “I don’t know. OK, I think I’ll be back, I think Gary will be back. I think Tulisa will be back. Dermot’s definitely back! I’m not sure about Kelly. I’m not sure. Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh happy without solo career
Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh happy without solo career

Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh has revealed that she is happy that she has not had a solo music career and does not intend to pursue one any time soon. While the likes of Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts and Nadine Coyle have been off seeking solo success, Kimberley has been following her own path, which has included some television presenting.

Walsh explained, “It’s nice some of the girls have explored their passions through their solo albums but it’s not something I’m looking to do. I’m happy following my own ventures. I love performing, I love acting and presenting. I want to do other things. What I’ve achieved musically with the girls is amazing and I’m happy with that. I applied for Popstars because I wanted to be in a group.”

Kimberley then touched on the rumours of a Girls Aloud reunion, adding, “That would be telling. I’ve read a lot of speculation, which hasn’t been accurate. We’ll tell everyone in good time.” There have been talks of a Girls Aloud reunion for some time now and last year The X Factor judge Louis Walsh claimed that he was certain it would happen in 2012.
Cher Lloyd has a dig at Louis Walsh
Cher Lloyd has a dig at Louis Walsh

Former X Factor contestant Cher Lloyd has had a pop at The X Factor judge Louis Walsh, claiming that he needs to go on a holiday and chill out for a while. Cher also suggested that, while all the other judges seem to be leaving the show and Louis always stays, it would probably be for the best if he moved on to something new and left the job of X Factor judge to someone else.

Lloyd explained, “Have a holiday for a few years! Have a break Louis, you work too hard. I don’t think he likes me very much, he said that I’m a monster. He’s the only one that’s stayed — he might as well go as well and bring someone else in.” Cher then discussed the fact that she is still under a gagging order not to talk too much about the ins and outs of what goes on in The X Factor.

She added, “You can never tell. Do you know what? There are so many contracts and all that, not to blab. I can’t do it, I’ll get sued!” Cher Lloyd recently signed up to The X Factor USA judge LA Reid’s record label, Epic Records, where she is expected to have a number of high profile collaborations with some of the biggest stars in the US.
Who will be the new The X Factor UK judges?
Who will be the new The X Factor UK judges?

So far, it seems that the only judge that will definitely be returning for the next season of The X Factor is Louis Walsh. Kelly Rowland initially claimed that she would love to return to the ITV singing competition but it appears that she has now changed her mind. Gary Barlow has stated that he wants to spend more time with his family this year, so he is doubtful and Tulisa Contostavlos is currently sitting on the fence.

So that means that The X Factor will potentially need to find three new judges to sit on the panel and give feed back to the wannabe singers. As always, there have been rumours of who will be the new judges for The X Factor. One such rumour is that Simon Cowell is keen to get Cheryl Cole back and ITV have even claimed that they would love for her to return.

There has also been a rumour that Nicole Scherzinger could be set to move to the UK version of The X Factor, after leaving The X Factor USA, although that does seem very unlikely. As does the rumour that Kylie Minogue could be in line to appear as a judge on The X Factor, especially since her sister Dannii was sacked from the show. All we can do is wait but for now, who would you like to see on the judging panel of The X Factor?
