Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles has been on the airwaves for years now and is considered by many as the saviour of Radio 1. The Chris Moyles Show is listened to by millions every day and Chris has managed to go on and have his own television show.
Now it seems that he is set to go one better. People in the know have claimed that Chris Moyles is set to fund a movie about his life, with Little Britain star Matt Lucas set to play him in his earlier years and Eastenders actor Shane Richie playing an aging Chris Moyles.
An insider explained, “Chris is eager to get a movie about his life made and since nobody has agreed to fund the film, he has decided to put up the money himself. Chris has got Matt Lucas and Shane Richie on board to play him at different stages of his life.”
It is believed that, since Chris Moyles is doing a fantastic job at losing weight, he wanted Jude Law to play the aging Chris Moyles but unfortunately Jude is tied up with other projects, so Shane Richie was the obvious second choice. It appears that the chemistry between Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, on screen in Sherlock Holmes 2, also spills off screen, as the two actors love to have fun together. Downey Jr. admitted that, while they are always having a laugh, they still take their work very seriously. Something which Jude agreed with, while also revealing a little about the plot of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.
Law explained, “The brother theme is really strong in this one actually. That’s when Noomi (Rapace) gets involved, too. There is a theme or a demand later on in this film where it questions one’s reliance on someone else and can you really trust someone? We like to work and we find fun in the work.”
Downey Jr. added, “Well, ever since Mr. Law and I met, the chuckles, and the fun, and the happiness come. But we are really quite about the business very much, I believe, as Holmes and Watson are. So if it’s 99 per cent perspiration. Oh, you are going to love this - we like getting sweaty together. I mean, we like working our asses off. We like to work.” Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is set to be released on December 16 but for now, check out the final poster below.
Asa Butterfield is a name that we are going to be hearing about for a very long time to come. The young, 14 year old, British actor has already appeared alongside a number of huge Hollywood names in his short career, but it is a certain big screen character that Asa has more interest in. Butterfield admitted that he was unaware of how huge these people around him were as celebrities and stated that he has a certain dream role that he would like to portray.
Asa explained, “Honestly, I really don’t think about it. Quite a few of those names I hadn’t even heard of when I first worked with them, Marty (Martin Scorsese) for example. It was only other people’s reactions that alerted me to just what big a deal it was. And the brilliant people I have worked with have just wanted to be helpful and are really good fun. And after the first day of filming, you don’t think about them as celebrities, just as friends.”
He added, “I’m looking forward to playing characters that have a bit more world experience. I do have a dream role, so if anyone wants to make ‘Young Bond’, I’m your guy.” Well hold on a few more years Mr Butterfield and you may well get the chance to play James Bond in the future.
