Jessica Alba has synthetic turf, should English Football Clubs follow suit?

Last year it was reported that there had been a boom in Hollywood, where stars where opting for synthetic turf over natural turf. The reasons for this are because the synthetic turf is much more durable. So should English Football Clubs start using synthetic turf too?

Kari Whitman, who is part of a celebrity landscape management team, explained, “I chose synthetic grass for Jessica Alba's backyard doggie oasis and use it at clients' homes as often as possible. The eco-friendly synthetic turf looks so realistic and stands up to pet messes, wear and tear.”

He added, “I also love that it eliminates the need for pesticides and fertilizers, making your yard healthier for you and your pets. Plus it saves water and some cities will even give you a rebate on your utility bill. It’s a win-win.”

So with these clear and obvious positives for the use of synthetic turf for people’s homes, is it not about time that the English Premier League and the Football League in general started using synthetic turf? It would certainly help in those winter months and the re-laying of turf would not be needed anywhere near as often.

Jessica Alba discusses childhood allergies

Hollywood actress Jessica Alba has revealed how she used to suffer from a number of different allergies as a child but discovered a way to prevent them. Jessica found that her allergies were brought on by the use of toxic household chemicals, which inspired her to start her own non-toxic brand Honest.

Alba explained to AOL, “As a child, I suffered from many different bizarre kind of health issues. I realised over time that when I eliminated fragrances and toxic chemicals in my environment, and especially Clorox, Lysol, the harsher ingredients that are in those products, it eliminated my allergies and my reactions.”

She added, “And so that was kind of a breakthrough moment for me, in knowing that you can control the environment that you live in and it will affect your health.”

Jessica Alba recently revealed how she found everything about having her second child much easier than having her first, as she had the experience from the first to deal with the second. Jessica is set to release her first book in 2013, which will be titled The Honest Life.

Hollywood actress Jessica Alba has revealed how she found it a much easier adjustment when having her second child, than she did when she had her first. Jessica admitted that she has to find a way to organise her time so that she can spend as much time as possible with her children.

Alba explained to lilsugar.com, “I think going from no kids to one kid was the biggest adjustment. Once my older one was out of diapers and was a little bit more self-sufficient, I found that having another one was easier than it would have been if I had two in diapers.”

She added, “I think the toughest part is probably just your time. You still want to spend time with both of them and you find you have less time for yourself. Once [Honour] is down for her nap then I have the baby and I get to spend time with [Haven].”

Jessica continued, “I used to be cooking or doing emails or reading or talking to a girlfriend. So now it’s about organising my time and trying to be as efficient as possible.”

Jessica Alba recently admitted that she was a bit of a rebel when she was younger but has become quite a strict parent.

Jennifer Lopez discusses the trials and tribulations of parenting

There must be something in the water or in the air because it seems that every celebrity in the business has been talking about their parenting skills. Angelina Jolie praised Brad Pitt at the start of the month, Brian Austin Green praised Megan Fox after that, then Madonna discussed her parenting skills and more recently Jessica Alba talked about parenting. Now it is the turn of American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez.

Lopez explained, “They do something to you where you want to do everything right for them…And obviously no parent does everything right. It’s this weird thing that happens where you are striving to be as good as you can be so that they turn out well.”

She added, “That requires that you be a really great, evolved, aware person in every moment. Which is pretty awesome. But it’s also putting tremendous pressure on yourself—which is why women feel so guilty!” Jennifer then admitted that her ex husband Marc Anthony has been vital in building her self confidence.

Lopez continued, “He always told me what a beautiful voice I have. He was like, ‘It’s in there; you just gotta let it out. It’s a confidence thing with you.’ Then all of a sudden one day I was like, I’m good at this!”

Sin City actress Jessica Alba has revealed how she gets around a few of the issues that come with bringing up a child while being a famous movie star. Jessica has admitted that her daughter Honor often asks her about the paparazzi, so she tries to explain them to her as best she can.

Alba explained, “When the paparazzi follow us, and she asks me what they’re doing, I tell her, ‘They’re just taking pictures. Isn’t that silly?’ I don’t want her to have anxiety, so I tell her they do that to everyone, not just our family.”

Jessica then went on to admit that she often tells her daughter little white lies but insists that it is for the childs best interests. She added, “I serve Honor flavoured sparkling water, she thinks that it’s soda and that’s what I let her think,” she reveals. “I told her that ‘brown soda’ is only for adults and she believes me. Ha!”

Jessica Alba recently discussed how she put on weight during her pregnancy and how she managed to lose weight after the birth. Jessica also compared the differences in weight loss between her two pregnancies, revealing what she did different the second time around.

Hollywood actress Jessica Alba has revealed how she is quite the strict parent when it comes to disciplining her children, much the opposite from her own parents. Jessica admits that her parents were way much more fun than she is but claims that she still tried to be a bit of a rebel in her younger days.

Alba explained, ”I did have that dreaded moment when my daughter decided that every answer I gave her wasn’t a good one and she kept saying, ‘But why mommy? But why mommy?’, and I was like, ‘Because I said so’. And I thought, ‘Oh God, I’m that mum, I’m my mum’. ‘My parents did use ‘because I said so’ and they were not strict. They were fun and cool and laid back and a way better time than me.” Jessica then went on to discuss her younger days.

She added, ”I got good grades and I was going to Bible study all the time. ‘I wasn’t bad. But I rebelled, I guess. Like one time when I was fourteen or thirteen or something, I took my dad’s Ford Probe to Jack in the Box. I took side streets. It was a car full of girls. We were bumping Sublime. I was a super bad kid.” Jessica Alba is next set to appear on the big screen in the animated movie Escape from Planet Earth, which is set to be released on February 14, 2013.
Jessica Alba balances work with family

Hollywood actress Jessica Alba has revealed how her acting career has had to take a back seat while she focuses on bringing up her family. Jessica admitted that she does still have a lot of passion for acting and hopes to get back into it soon but also stated that her family comes first, as she attempts to find a balance between the two.

Alba explained, “Work takes a backseat. Before, I’d have two weeks off around Christmas, but I never really did birthdays, or I’d be working in a country that didn’t celebrate certain holidays. Now it’s about family and capturing those moments. When I do work, it’s fun and I take some risks. I don’t think I balance it, to be honest. It’s hard, overwhelming and it’s not anything I ever feel I am doing perfectly right.”

She added, “I wish there were two of me and 48-hour days so I could get everything done. But for me, I have to not try and think that everything has to be 100% perfect all the time and leave room for error. As long as my kids feel loved and a priority, everything really is secondary.” Jessica Alba recently advised Beyoncé and Jay-Z to sell their first pictures of baby Blue Ivy Carter.

Sin City actress Jessica Alba has encouraged Beyoncé and Jay-Z to sell the first official pictures of Blue Ivy Carter, in an attempt to take away any control that the paparazzi will have. Jessica sold the first official pictures of her baby Honor back in 2008, so that she could use the money to start a trust fund for her daughter and so that seeing the pictures for the first time would not feel so weird.

Alba explained, “For our family, we just wanted to control the experience. We put the money that the picture made into a bank account for Honor to do whatever she wants to do with.” She added, “It’s her picture, it’s her birth, and we didn’t want it to be like a weird thing when we were walking out of the house for the first time.”

Beyoncé and Jay-Z welcomed their first child together at the Lenox Hill hospital in New York earlier this month and Jay-Z recently through an extravagant celebration party to welcome Blue Ivy to the world. It has been claimed that Beyoncé and Jay-Z are already looking for schools to send Blue Ivy to when she is old enough.

Fantastic Four actress Jessica Alba has compared the differences in losing weight from her first pregnancy to her second pregnancy. Jessica revealed that she has found it so much easier to loss the weight after her second pregnancy than she did after her first. She admitted that the main reason for this is probably down to the fact that she spends a lot of her time running around after her oldest child.

Alba explained, “I’m running around after a 3-and-a-half-year-old so that always keeps you on your toes. It was my second pregnancy so I think I just didn’t indulge as much. It was easier to snap back.” She added, “I just feel thankful and blessed that I have two beautiful children. That’s my focus.”

Jessica Alba took it upon herself to start seeing a personal trainer just three weeks after giving birth to her second child Haven and it appears that all of the hard work has paid off. Jessica recently admitted that she would not be allowing her children to become child stars, as she wants them to grow up enjoying a nice normal childhood and out of the spotlight.

Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D actress Jessica Alba has revealed how she got her perfect body back in to shape following the birth of her second daughter Haven Garner. Jessica admitted that she did not put on too much weight during her pregnancy, which made it much easier for her to lose the extra baby weight once she had given birth.

Alba explained, “I didn’t gain as much weight with my second pregnancy, so I think that really made a big difference.” She then revealed how she went about losing the baby weight. Jessica added, “I did prenatal yoga up until the very end. I just made healthier choices. I started working out and not going too crazy, but I did what was safe and what the doctor approved.”

Jessica Alba got back in to her training and fitness regime just two weeks after she gave birth to her daughter. She took to the gym and did a workout session consisting of cardio which lasted for 40 minutes on both the stationary bike and the elliptical.
