Jane Lynch Reveals Cheryl Cole Glee Cameo Is ‘Set To Happen Now’
Jane Lynch Reveals Cheryl Cole Glee Cameo Is ‘Set To Happen Now’

It looks as though Cheryl Cole could be making a cameo on hit TV show Glee sooner than we think. Actress Jane Lynch revealed that the star’s appearance on the show is “set to happen now.”

Talking to the Daily Star, Jane, who plays Cheerio cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, revealed that Cheryl is “keen” to make her guest appearance on the show official following the constant rumours of a possible cameo on Glee.

Jane revealed: “There’s been talk on set of Cheryl appearing for a year or so, but it’s set to happen now.”

Adding that the cast are keen to welcome the ‘Call My Name’ star on the show, Jane continued: “Matthew Morrison (Will Schuester) has spoken very highly of her and the younger guys on set are keen to have her on, for obvious reasons. Matthew’s chatted to her and she seems keen.

“Cheryl’s the perfect Glee fit, she can sing, she can dance and she looks good. It would be cool if she played herself.”

However, Jane warned that she would not be giving Cheryl any special treatment on the set, saying: “She might be used to getting treated like a princess but Sue Sylvester doesn’t make exceptions for anybody. If Cheryl starts acting like a diva, she’ll see that Sue is meaner than Simon Cowell.”

Smash: The ‘grown-up Glee’?
Smash: The ‘grown-up Glee’?

Smash is one of the most eagerly anticipated TV series of the year. It has been deemed sizzling and sexy, clad in sequins and belting out show-tune ballads.

Dubbed ‘the grown-up Glee’, the comparisons with the all-singing, all-dancing teen TV sensation are inevitable. But there are some major differences: Glee was set in a high school, Smash is rooted firmly on the stage, and its toe-tapping tunes are not covers, but entirely original — written by the composers behind Hairspray and Catch Me If You Can .

Preview reports say it’s the women stars who steal the show, led by Anjelica Huston. Others to look out for include the sitcom queen, Debra Messing. The 43-year-old Emmy-award winning actress, best-known for her role in the comedy Will & Grace, is back on the small screen as Julia Houston, celebrated lyricist and co-writer of the Broadway musical in Smash.

A former runner-up on American Idol, with three albums already to her name, Katharine McPhee, 28, is already well-known to U.S. audiences, but playing Karen Cartwright is set to send her profile soaring in Britain, too.

Last but not least, voluptuous, blonde bombshell, Megan Hilty, 31, has the part of Ivy Lynn who is in contention for the lead role of Marilyn Monroe in the musical. Like her character, Hilty is a Broadway veteran.

Glee actress Dianna Agron, who plays the character Quinn Fabray in the hit Fox musical television series, has given fans a little teaser into what is to come for her character in Glee. Dianna admitted that she encouraged the currently storyline, where Quinn crashes while texting and driving, claiming that it is a great problem to make more people aware of.

Agron explained to TV Guide, “I told [Ryan], ‘I think it’s a great thing and we should do it’. We discussed the levels of the story, ‘Should she die?’

She added, “Ultimately, we weighed it and what we came up with is a story that might make some people fairly sad, but the takeaway is worth it… It’s very smart of us to touch on this problem because there needs to be an awareness.”

Dianna continued, “It’s the joke around set that if I’m even walking and texting I’ll be in trouble,” she added. “Don’t do that, Dianna!’ they all say. ‘What would Quinn think?’”

Glee makes its return in the US tonight on Fox at 8/7c, while viewers in the UK can catch the episode on Thursday on Sky1 at 9pm.

It has been reported that One Direction’s Irish cutie Niall Horan has a fear of pigeons. In all fairness to young Niall, many people dislike pigeons, which are often referred to as flying rats but his fear of them gives his One Direction bandmates plenty of opportunity to take advantage.

Niall explained to The Sun, “I get really nervous if pigeons are flying around before shows. I can’t stand them after one once flew in through my bathroom window and went for me while I was having a wee. That was enough. I think pigeons target me.” Meanwhile, his One Direction bandmate Harry Styles did his best to back Horan up.

Harry simply added, “Niall’s really scared of pigeons. We have to protect him.” One Direction are currently enjoying huge success in the US and throughout the world. Fans in Canada were recently taken to hospital, after waiting in freezing conditions to get a glimpse of One Direction.

Lindsay Lohan thanks fair judge after completing probation

Mean Girls actress, Lindsay Lohan thanked Judge Stephanie Sautner for being fair during her probation period. Judge Sautner released Lindsay from her probation before Lindsay admitted that some new doors have now opened for her.

Sautner explained, “Ms Lohan has done everything she was ordered to do… probation terminates today. Now. She was given one year to complete it all and she has completed it short of a year, and she has done everything that this court has asked of her. You’ve paid all your fees, paid more than you should’ve, but that’s between you and [the probation department].”

The judge added, “I wouldn’t go asking for a refund. The only terms left for you on that case are to obey all laws. It’s not that hard. I know it’s kind of hard when people are following you around all the time, but that’s the life you chose.” Lohan then thanked the judge.

She said, “I just want to say thank you, Your Honour, for being fair, and it’s really opened a lot of doors for me, so I really appreciate it.” Lindsay Lohan can next be seen portraying herself in the Fox musical series Glee.

White Collar actor Matt Bomer is set to appear in a guest role, on the hit Fox musical television series Glee. Matt has been talking to TV Line about his time on Glee and what fans of the show can expect from his character.

Bomer explained, “To me, the fun of the role was getting to play somebody who had such strong convictions and opinions about all of the wrong things and in all of the wrong ways. At the heart of it, he really does want to help his brother avoid the slings and arrows of being a young artist.”

He added, “He clearly hasn’t had an easy road of it as an actor. And over the course of that path, he sort of developed his own short cuts and tricks of the trade, which are all horribly misleading and misguided.” He then went on to praise his time working with Glee star Jane Lynch.

Matt continued, “I think Jane sussed out right away that my character was just all over the map, just a complete hot mess. So she said, ‘Matt, on this take, just kiss me on the lips’. I said, ‘Great. You don’t have to ask me twice’. It was nice. She had a lovely lip gloss on.”

Glee continues in the UK on Thursday nights at 9pm on Sky 1.

Simon Cowell discusses Darren Criss X Factor USA role

The X Factor creator Simon Cowell has spoken to Access Hollywood about the possibility of Glee star Darren Criss becoming the new host of The X Factor USA. Simon has rubbished the rumours that claims that Darren has been approached, claiming he does not even know who he is.

Cowell explained, “Darren Criss? I don’t know who he is. Is he the one in the wheelchair? I like him.” He then went on to admit that he was too busy finding new judges to even think about a new host.

He added, “At the moment, all the concentration is on the judging panel. I’ve got to be honest with you… this is all gonna happen at the last minute. I can feel it… There’s so much going on at the moment over there with the show. It’s a lot of work to put in, and there’s a new component to the show which is exciting.

Simon continued, “I’m not going to talk about it yet ‘cause I don’t want to tell the others what I’m doing. So there’s just a lot going on. So I think in terms of order, we’ve got to land the judges, and then, I think you’ve gotta work out the hosts, based on who the judges are gonna be to make sure you get the right chemistry.”
