April Fool’s Day made a fool out of Bandito
April Fool’s Day made a fool out of Bandito

I’m not gonna lie, I usually love April Fool’s Day as I always manage to get Papa Bandito a treat and it makes him so mad. However, the tables were turned this year and not only was I fooled by Papa Bandito but it seemed that everybody everywhere had it in for me.

April Fool’s Day was without doubt my worst day of the year so far, whereas it is usually my favourite. I was so excited leading up to it and then it was a complete disappointment. I feel like a man who has been promised a feast fit for a king, only to receive a microwave ready meal.

The worst part about it was that FansShare, yes FansShare, the very site you are on right now, managed to get me on more than one occasion. I was furious when I heard that The Avengers was being delayed before the FansShare team laughed in my face and then I was delighted that The Wanted were set to duet with Chris Brown. Again the FanShare team found it hilarious that I had fallen into their trap yet again.

However, I will have the last laugh. It may not be tomorrow. It may not be the next day. To be honest I’ll probably have to wait until April Fool’s Day next year but I will have my revenge. Arriba!

Were you fooled by anybody or did you manage to fool anybody? Let me know you favourite April Fool’s Day pranks.
Ron Howard to direct The Dark Tower for Warner Bros.
Ron Howard to direct The Dark Tower for Warner Bros.

As we at FansShare told you earlier this month, director Ron Howard is still keen on directing the big screen adaptation of the Stephen King novel The Dark Tower. Now it seems like Ron may well get his wish, as Warner Bros. are believed to be interested in taking it on.

Ron Howard was originally signed up to direct a series of three movies and two television series for Universal but they eventually pulled out due to the increasing budget. However, it has now been claimed by Deadline, that Warner Bros. are willing to get involved in at least one movie.

It has also been claimed that Javier Bardem is in line to play the role of the gunslinger character Roland Deschain, with screenplay writer Akiva Goldsman set to produce the movie along with Brian Grazer and Stephen King himself.

Warner Bros. have snapped up the script by Akiva Goldsman but have insisted that he must give it another going over to smooth out any issues. It is believed that The Dark Tower will begin production in early 2013, with the likelihood of it being released in 2014. Watch this space!
Floyd Mayweather vs. Miguel Cotto confirmed for May 5
Floyd Mayweather vs. Miguel Cotto confirmed for May 5

We at FansShare put our money where our mouth is back in September, when we stated that we believed that Floyd Mayweather would fight the winner of the Miguel Cotto vs. Antonio Margarito. Cotto went on to win that fight back in December and has now agreed to accept a fight with Floyd Mayweather on May 5. However, we did get one key point wrong.

We thought that once the fight had been agreed, we would see Miguel Cotto step back down to welterweight for the fight. Yet it appears that Floyd Mayweather is in fact stepping up in weight and the fight will take place at light middleweight. Miguel Cotto is the owner of the WBA light middleweight title and Floyd Mayweather will be almost certain to add that to his list of titles from over the years.

Mayweather said of the fight, “Miguel Cotto is a world-class fighter who can never be taken for granted and continues to prove he is one of the best in boxing. I have no doubt in my mind that my title belt collection will increase once again.” The Floyd Mayweather vs. Miguel Cotto fight for the WBA light middleweight title will take place on May 5, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. We tip Floyd Mayweather to win convincingly on points.
Johnny’s Bananas Entourage spin off still a possibility
Johnny’s Bananas Entourage spin off still a possibility
We at FansShare reported last week that there were suggestions that Johnny’s Bananas could actually be getting made and released once HBO show Entourage has completed its eighth and final season. Johnny’s Bananas has received great feedback from Entourage fans and scenes of it being recorded were shown in this week’s episode ahead of screen testing.

In Entourage the screen testing went great and the show got the green light, which adds weight to the claims that Johnny’s Bananas will actually be made for real. However, it is unclear when Johnny’s Bananas would, if it does get the go ahead, be made and released to the public.

There is so much hype surrounding Entourage the movie that they would probably have to wait until that was out of the way before releasing Johnny’s Bananas. However, there have been rumours that they have been recording Johnny’s Bananas at the same time as the final season of Entourage, so it could come out in between the season finale and the movie premiere. Keep posted for more updates.
The Fray’s new album coming soon
The Fray’s new album coming soon
It has been a while since we have heard any new material for the American band The Fray but it appears that we will not have to wait too much longer. Not only have the band lent their vocals to a covers album but they also have a third album not too far from completion.

The Fray have recently contributed a cover of Buddy Holly's “Take Your Time" for the upcoming tribute album, Listen to Me: Buddy Holly, to be released on September 6, 2011. Also earlier this month, The Fray confirmed that they had finished recording their third album but it was not quite ready for release.

On their official Twitter page, they wrote, “We’re done recording and mixing LP3, but it has a couple more stops on the assembly line before it gets to you. -BW #soon #worththewait”. Now it seems that it is getting even closer as a recent tweet revealed, it read, “Arranging the tracklist for a record reminds me of writing a set list for a show. Love it. –BW”. We at FansShare cannot wait to hear it.

Johnny’s Bananas receives positive feedback
Johnny’s Bananas receives positive feedback
The first episode of the eighth and final season of Entourage aired on HBO on Sunday and it was also the first chance viewers had to catch a glimpse of the cartoon Johnny’s bananas. We at FanShare understand that there is a possibility that Johnny’s Bananas could very well be released to the public depending on the feedback it receives from Entourage fans.

Johnny’s Bananas is expected to have clips shown sporadically throughout this season of the show and Entourage fans got to experience it for the first time on Sunday. Although the episode of Entourage itself did not exactly receive great reviews, the response to Johnny’s Bananas was exceptional.

Many of the diehard Entourage fans have claimed that the scene, which showed the Johnny’s Bananas clips, was the best part of the episode. If the response keeps going this way for the rest of the season, do not be surprised to see Johnny’s Bananas hit your TV screens in the future.
Jurassic Park 4 confirmed by Steven Spielberg
Jurassic Park 4 confirmed by Steven Spielberg
Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg has confirmed that he is set to make Jurassic Park 4, as revealed by FansShare back in June. We suggested back in June that another Jurassic Park movie would be made and now Steven Spielberg has made it official.

However, we may have to wait for a few years yet. Steven explained, “We have a story, I can happily announce right now.” Spielberg then added, “We have a writer… Hopefully, we’ll be making Jurassic Park 4 in the near future. In the next two or three years.”

It is believed that Jurassic Park 4 will be shot and 3D and it has also been suggested, by Jurassic Park III director Joe Johnston, that Jurassic Park 4 could set up a new Jurassic Park trilogy. The Jurassic Park franchise has been going since 1993 and has made nearly $2 billion at the worldwide box office.
