Rihanna’s Poor Performance Due To Death Of Her Beloved Grandmother
Rihanna’s Poor Performance Due To Death Of Her Beloved Grandmother

Having Rihanna headline at the annual Peace & Love Festival was seen as a huge honor for Sweden, but the audience at the music gathering were unimpressed when the We Found Love singer appeared on stage 45 minutes late on Saturday.

However, Rhianna may have been hiding some considerable distress as it emerged this morning that her grandmother Dolly had died from cancer.

Rihanna also seemed to forget where she was, and dedicated her Redemption Song to Norway. Some fans took to Twitter to condemn the singer as a result - not realising her loved ‘Gran Gran Dolly’ had died.

Although it is not clear when Dolly died, Rhianna took to Twitter this morning to mourn her relative.

Her Grandmother, who her family affectionately called Gran Gran Dolly, died yesterday following a battle with cancer. She had been hospitalised at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital in New York.

The festival organisers were clearly excited to have the pop star attend, with the website for the event reading: ‘Now it’s finally done. This summer Rihanna will play an exclusive Sweden concert as the main act at Peace & Love.

Rihanna has become one of the world’s most famous and successful artists. She has achieved great success with songs like Umbrella, Only Girl (In The World), Disturbia, What’s My Name, Man down and We Found Love to name a few.

‘We are extremely proud to announce Rihanna for Peace & Love 2012!’

Amy Winehouse did NOT die of drug overdose

Amy Winehouse did NOT die of drug overdose

It has been revealed by Amy Winehouse’s father, Mitch Winehouse, that toxicology reports revealed she did not die of an overdose

Yesterday her father was relieved in announcing that toxicology reports showed that it was not an overdose that killed Amy Winehouse. This comes after strong speculation that an overdose was the cause, Mitch was clearly moved when he spoke out to “set the record straight”.

The report was presented to Mitch and Janis, by St Pancras coroner’s office, North London.  The report revealed some alcohol was found in the body of Amy, but the cause of death will not be announced until the inquest verdict is unveiled on October 26 2011.

A family spokesman said “Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death.” The spokesman then went on to say that the “Results indicate that alcohol was present, but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death. The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations, and for keeping them informed throughout the process. They await the outcome of the inquest.”

Lack of alcohol killed Amy Winehouse, claims family
It has been suggested that the family of the late singer Amy Winehouse have blamed her death on the decision to give up alcohol all together. Amy was recommended by a doctor to stop binge drinking and slowly drink less and less at a time but Amy was adamant that it was all or nothing and quit the booze completely.

A source explained, “Abstinence gave her body such a fright they thought it was eventually the cause of her death.” Amy’s father Mitch also hit out at claims that Winehouse had been on a 72 hour drinking bender, claiming that it was the opposite that most likely killed her.

The insider continued, “He said doctors had told Amy to gradually reduce her intake of alcohol and to avoid bingeing at all costs. Amy told him she couldn’t do that. It was all or nothing and she gave up completely. Mitch said the shock of giving up, after everything she had been through over a bad few years, was just too much for her to take.” Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London flat on Saturday. She was only 27 years old.

Kelly Osbourne slams Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace

Kelly Osbuorne has again taken to Twitter to slam so-called friends of Amy Winehouse.

Many believe that the slam was made at Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace who appeared on This Morning in an emotional interview where Aisleyne denied having seen Amy for up to 2 months and at the amount of hate mail and messages she has had since being reported drinking with her in an understandable attempt to clear her own name.

Kelly said : “Any ‘friend’ of Amy’s talking 2 the press/tv are not her actual friends, her real friends have more dignity then to get $ 2 talk about her!”

The interview follows Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace online tribute to her late friend which we reported about on Sunday, the day following Amy Winehouse’s death.

It appears emotions between many are running high given the tragic circumstances around the death of Amy Winehouse, and it doesn’t seem like things will settle anytime soon.

Blake Fielder-Civil Mother confesses that Blake will kill himself
The Mother of Blake Fielder-Civil spoke this morning on British TV saying that her son deserves some of the blame for the downfall of Amy Winehouse.

She confessed in an interview that she believes Blake Fielder-Civil should shoulder the responsibility in part for the death of Amy Winehouse saying “I can’t say whether or not Amy did drugs prior to meeting Blake, I can’t. I think that’s something that nobody will ever really know. But yes, in my heart I think that Blake has to take a portion of blame.”

She went on to admin that “Blake will kill himself. He won’t make it without her”. She talked of how she feels he will be handling the current situation saying “He will be devastated, totally and utterly devastated. He’ll go straight back to self-harming. I’ll have to ring the prison and he’ll have to be put on watch. He was always ringing her and she was always ringing him. Blake always wanted her back. She couldn’t walk away from him and he couldn’t walk away from her.”

Before the interview closed Georgette Civil tried to shoulder some of the blame also by saying “Her and Blake were both lost and we handled it badly.”

Russell Brand tribute to Amy Winehouse
Russell Brand tribute to Amy Winehouse
Russell Brand this morning took to his website to let some feelings out with regards to the death of his old friend Amy Winehouse.

Russell who has had a much publicized fight with drugs in the past used to run in the same circles as Amy Winehouse when he lived in London and consider the deceased artists a ‘dear old friend’.

Russell starts with his posting as saying “When you love someone who suffers from the disease of addiction you await the phone call. There will be a phone call. The sincere hope is that the call will be from the addict themselves, telling you they’ve had enough, that they’re ready to stop, ready to try something new. Of course though, you fear the other call, the sad nocturnal chime from a friend or relative telling you it’s too late, she’s gone.”

The posting has a rather sobre reflecting tone and Russell went onto talk about how and when he met Amy, explaining “I’ve known Amy Winehouse for years. When I first met her around Camden she was just some twit in a pink satin jacket shuffling round bars with mutual friends, most of whom were in cool Indie bands or peripheral Camden figures Withnail-ing their way through life on impotent charisma. Carl Barrat told me that “Winehouse” (which I usually called her and got a kick out of cos it’s kind of funny to call a girl by her surname) was a jazz singer, which struck me as a bizarrely anomalous in that crowd. To me with my limited musical knowledge this information placed Amy beyond an invisible boundary of relevance; “Jazz singer? She must be some kind of eccentric” I thought. I chatted to her anyway though, she was after all, a girl, and she was sweet and peculiar but most of all vulnerable.”

The posting was reflective mostly, and urging people with addiction to seek help, he closed in paying tribute to her undoubted talent. The full post can be read by clicking here.
