Despite building up a huge fanbase across the Pond, it would seem that not every American wants a piece of The Wanted.
Singer Christina Aguilera was reportedly very rude and arrogant when the boy band performed on The Voice recently.
The lads were special guests on the US version of the show, on which Christina is a judge, and claimed that the pop star completely ignored them. Speaking on Now FM, Max George said that she refused to talk to them backstage after the show.
He said: ‘She was a bit scary to be honest.’ Bandmate Tom Parker added: ‘She’s a total b****! She might not be a b**** in real life but to us she was a b****. She just sat there and didn’t speak to us. Wouldn’t even look at us.’
Siva Kaneswaran added: ‘She was quite rude. Who does that?’ Nathan Sykes, however, tried to be a bit diplomatic and said: ‘She might have been in a bad mood that day - didn’t she completely par Justin Bieber as well? He went in for a hug and she was like “get away from me”.’
And when comparing their experience of meeting Christina compared to Jennifer Lopez on American Idol, Max added: ‘Yeah, well J.Lo’s hot, Christina’s nothing special.’
The Wanted also met Chris Brown on the show and said they hoped to go into the studio with him too. Siva added: ‘We’ve talked to Chris Brown as well, which would be really good. We talked to Chris actually when we were on The Voice and he said he was down as well.’
The Voice coach and singer Christina Aguilera has revealed that she will be releasing her brand new album later this year. Christina claims that she has been working hard on her seventh studio album, which she says is fun and exciting and that she expects it to be amazing.
Aguilera explained, “My album? What’s going on with that? I started it when I started this show and then it kind of took off into this big thing. The show that used to be a side project turned into a bigger, time fulfilling, dedicated project for me.”
She added, “My album is going to be amazing. I’m just thrilled. I’ve been in the studio hard at work. The different producers I’m working with have excited me so much and have given me amazing tracks and beats and material that I can write to.
Christina continued, “It’s filled with fun and excitement and it’s going to come out later this year.” Christina Aguilera recently admitted that she also took time over her album to concentrate on the quality of the music on it.
The Voice continues on Monday nights on ABC at 8/7c.
Talk show host Wendy Williams has claimed that she believes Britney Spears was right to demand $20 million to become the new judge on The X Factor USA. Wendy compared some of the judges of rival reality television singing competitions and how much they get paid, claiming that Britney should receive more.
Williams explained, “[Britney] has been allegedly offered $10 million (£6.4 million) to be a judge on X Factor, which is an absolute insult… to her. She turned it down because she wanted $20 million (£12.8 million) - good for you, Britney! It’s insulting.”
She added, “You know why it’s insulting? Because Jennifer Lopez is making $15 million (£9.6 million) on her show, Christina Aguilera makes $10 million… and Christina, I love you, take this the best way, but you are not the star that Britney is. You’re just not.”
Wendy continued, “I just feel like Britney Spears is like Bambi - everybody loves her, we’ve all seen her journey… people love Britney. Britney sells out concerts. Britney sells records.” Also, Simon Cowell is looking for someone to sign up to The X Factor USA for two years but Britney Spears wants a get out clause after one year.
Do you think Britney Spears is better than Christina Aguilera?
Before becoming a Hollywood heartthrob, Drive actor Ryan Gosling was a member of the famous Mickey Mouse Club, which has produced such stars as Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears. However, Ryan admits that he was nowhere near as talented as most of the other kids and would after be cut out of shots.
Gosling explained, “In my age bracket there were seven kids, three of whom were Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Justin Timberlake. Filming was kind of depressing because when I got there, they realised that I wasn’t really up to stuff in comparison with what some of the other kids were able to do.”
He added, “I remember they put four of us in a dance routine, but I was so off. I was on the end, so they just pushed the shot in closer on the other three guys to frame me out. I would just come in at the beginning of the show and then come back at the end. I’d have a sketch here or there, but I didn’t end up working that much, which was disheartening.” Ryan Gosling recently revealed the key to picking good film roles.
It has been reported that 48 year old singer Whitney Houston has been found dead at the Beverly Hills hotel. An emergency call was made and the Beverly Hills police department responded immediately and hotel staff and the fire department attempted to revive her but it was all in vain as Whitney Houston had already passed.
Whitney Houston was once considered to be one of the best female artists around but her fame and fortune affected her life in a very negative way. Whitney’s voice began to suffer from a drug addiction and her turbulent marriage to fellow singer Bobby Brown also took its toll on the star. Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston’s godmother, admitted that she was truly stunned to learn of her death.
Aretha explained, “I just can’t talk about it now,” Franklin said in a short statement. “It’s so stunning and unbelievable. I couldn’t believe what I was reading coming across the TV screen.” Whitney Houston inspired a number of singers, including Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera and she will continue to inspire many more. R.I.P. Whitney Houston, you are gone but your music will live forever.
The Voice coach Christina Aguilera has hit out at people who constantly scrutinise the weight of celebrities. Chistina claims that she has been criticised time and time again for her weight, whether it be too big or too skinny and she believes that, as long as somebody is comfortable with who they are, then that is all that really matters.
Aguilera explained, “I think my video works over the years have spoken to my confidence.” She then added, “As you know, Dirty and so on, and Lady Marmalade. I’ve been no stranger to being very comfortable in my own skin to take those risks, to take those chances.”
Christina continued, “I’ve been on all spectrums. I’ve been in this industry for a long time. I came out on the scene when I was 17 years old. You can never be too much of anything. You can never be too perfect, too thin, too curvy, voluptuous, this, that. I’ve been on all sides of the spectrum as far as any female in this business.” A brand new season of The Voice, which will see Christina Aguilera once again team up with Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton, is set to premiere on NBC after the Super Bowl in February.
Now as you probably know, I am not the biggest fan in the world of reality TV shows but I am fast becoming a fan of Janet Devlin from The X Factor. She is awesome. I could listen to that girl sing all day long and it seems as if many other people could too.
During Janet’s judge’s houses performance of Christina Aguilera's Beautiful you could hear a pin drop as everybody stopped what they were doing and were silent throughout. Even Kelly Rowland pointed to this fact and admitted that Devlin has set the tone for the rest.
However, Kelly did state that she wants Janet Devlin to come out of herself a bit more. I think this will come with time as she is still just a shy 16 year old girl from a small village in Northern Ireland. I am sure that as she grows with the show she will become more confident and the best is yet to come from this singing sensation.
The competition was huge but Janet Devlin proved she is head and shoulders above the rest. Arriba!!
Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger has revealed how he turned down the chance to perform live on stage with Maroon 5. The band teamed up with Christina Aguilera for the track Moves Like Jagger, which is back at the top of the US chart, and they wanted Mick to perform it with them.
Jagger explained, “Maroon 5 asked me to come and do this show with them! What am I going to do? Sing it? I don’t think I’m going to be there.” Mick also revealed how he had to make some edits to the original video, as there was too much of himself in it and not enough of Maroon 5.
He added, I know the band, I know Christina, I know the video director, and they kept sending me the video cuts with me in it. There was far too much of me in the first one, I was going, ‘What about the rest of the band!’ So I cut out a bit.” Check out Maroon 5 ft. Christina Aguilera – Moves Like Jagger, below.
Janet Jackson has become the latest member of the Jackson family to boycott the Michael Jackson tribute concert, which is held later this year. Janet follows in the footsteps of Randy Jackson and Jermaine Jackson, who revealed back in July, that they would not be attending.
Janet has claimed the same reason as her brothers for not going to the gig, as it clashes with the criminal investigation of Michael’s doctor, Conrad Murray. Janet explained, “Because of the trial, the timing of this tribute to our brother would be too difficult for me.”
The Michael Jackson tribute concert is set to take place on October 8 and, while the siblings of the late star have rejected the concert, his Katherine and sister LaToya have backed it. The concert is set to be headlined by Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Smokey Robinson.
Rock star and songwriter Linda Perry has spoken out against Katy Perry and suggested that, it is acts like Katy, who are to blame for the music industry being in turmoil. Linda has written for the likes of P!nk, Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani but called Katy’s music crappy.
Linda explained, “It’s the crappy, like, who wants a Katy Perry record? I’m sorry, but you’re going to get the two songs that are probably the hits that are good, but the rest of the album is going to be crap. It’s going to sound like s**t.” She then laid the music industry, turmoil, blame at Katy’s door.
She added, “She’s not looking to change the world musically, so all the power to her. I’m not saying that’s bad, I’m saying it’s not what I participate in. That’s part of the reason why the music business is in turmoil.” Katy Perryrecently equalledMichael Jacksons record of five US number one singles from the same album.
