She added, “I’ve worked hard in the UK and I’m gonna work hard in America. I feel so lucky to have LA Reid supporting me.” Cher Lloyd has admitted to being a big fan of Nicki Minaj, claiming that she is the only relevant female rapper around right now.

Lloyd explained to The Mirror, “I’m engaged and want to get married as soon as possible. I can’t wait. People might think I am too young because I’m 18 but they can say what they want. I am from a gypsy background and you are meant to get married at 18.”

She added, “I love Craig and he makes me happy. I know I am going to spend the rest of my life with him. I have been through a lot over the past few years and I deserve to have some happiness.”

Cher continued, “He asked me on my birthday. I’m not going to say how he did it but it was very romantic. At the moment I am on tour so I can’t do it but maybe it will happen in the summer. Basically, it will be as soon as we can.”

Nicki Minaj gunning for Jay-Z

Rapper Nicki Minaj has revealed how she aims to become the top dog on the rap scene and has joked that she is gunning for current rap superstar Jay-Z. Nicki claims, in an interview with Allure, that she has never been just about the music and has always looked at her career as a business.

Minaj explained, “I never thought about music as just being the end-all, be-all. I always looked at it like a business, something that I could create an empire out of. So that’s why I’m only about to put out my second album and I’m already thinking about this.” She then claimed that she has informed Jay-Z that she is gunning for him.

Nicki added, “I had a little conversation with Jay-Z at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. He said, ‘Congratulations on all your success.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m coming for you. I’m coming for your spot, Mr. Mogul’.”

Nicki Minaj was recently praised by former X Factor star Cher Lloyd as being the only female rapper who is really relevant right now. Nicki Minaj is set to release Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded on April 2 in the UK and April 3 in the US.

Marcus Collins could have used X Factor sob story
Marcus Collins could have used X Factor sob story

X Factor runner up Marcus Collins has revealed how he could have used a sob story in the audition process to help him to win the sympathy vote. Yet Marcus decided that it was not the right way to go and wanted to be judged on his talent rather than his history.

Collins explained, “I knew if I said, ‘I grew up in a council flat, just me and my mum, we had nothing, my mum’s had cancer, I thought I was going to be orphaned and out and on my own’, people would be like, ‘So what? Sob story, he’s just making it up’.”

He added, “I didn’t want to do that. It had nothing to do with anything. Yeah, it just made me work harder, but so what? Everyone works hard. So I was very conscious not to do a big sob story.” However, Marcus did not need a sob story to impress, not only the judges but also the British public.

Marcus Collins came in for some criticism following the release of his debut single, a cover of The White Stripes track, Seven Nation Army, especially from former X Factor wannabe Cher Lloyd. Marcus Collins will be releasing his debut album on Monday, March 12.

Cher Lloyd’s parents get rid of her room

Former X Factor contestant Cher Lloyd has revealed how her parents, Darren and Dina, converted her bedroom into a new dining area, just a week after the singer had moved out. Cher joked that her parents must have been in her room before she moved out, measuring up for new material and new dining room furniture.

Lloyd explained, “I had to move to London for work reasons and like a week after I left my lovely bedroom had become a dining room. I was mortified. They must have been measuring up and shopping for dining room furniture before I’d even moved out. “It’s still my home, even if my room doesn’t exactly exist anymore.” Cher then claimed that she knows her three younger siblings Josh, Sophie and Rosie miss her being around.

She added, “I know they miss me being around. They try to act like it’s all cool but I know they do. They’d rather me be home with them.” Cher Lloyd has recently been rubbing up a few people the wrong way, including her former X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole and last year’s X Factor runner up Marcus Collins.
JLS star Aston Merrygold reveals bullying ordeal
JLS star Aston Merrygold reveals bullying ordeal

JLS singer Aston Merrygold has revealed how he was bullied when he was younger because of his race. Aston stated that he felt terrible about himself because of the bullying ordeal and lost all of the confidence he had in himself.

Merrygold explained, “I know what it feels like to be bullied. When I joined my school football team aged 14 I was abused because of my race. I was the only black kid on the team and some of the others picked on that. I am mixed race, half black and half white, but they would call me ‘Paki’ because they thought I looked Asian. They would say things like ‘you little black b******’. Looking back now, it was disgusting.”

He added, “I lost all my confidence while I was being bullied. It makes you question everything about yourself; your appearance, how you act, where you’re from. It becomes harder and harder to talk to someone even though talking to someone is the right thing to do. Things are even tougher for young people today because of cyber-bullying. When you are getting bullied online it can feel hard to escape.”

Aston continued, “I think what happened to Cher Lloyd was awful. She’s an amazing singer and a great talent but she was tormented by internet trolls. That probably made her not want to do this job anymore. But look at her now; she’s grown into a fantastic, beautiful, strong young woman. She shows you don’t need to give into the bullies.” Aston Merrygold was one of the famous faces to take part in the anti bullying campaign, The Big March yesterday.
Nicki Minaj praises herself
Nicki Minaj praises herself

Singer Nicki Minaj has spoken highly about herself, claiming that she must be pop culture because she is so popular. Nicki claims that girls all over the world are copying her style because they like the way she looks and what she does. However, Nicki admits that she does not go out of her way to make these girls copy her, she is simply making a statement.

Minaj explained, “I guess I am pop culture just because what I’m doing seems to be popular. When people want to do what you’re doing, it’s kind of popular. I don’t ask girls to wear pink hair; they just do it. It’s not about black or white; I think it’s just a statement. It doesn’t matter which colour you are; it’s just a statement of being fearless.”

Nicki then went on to respond to comments that people have been making about her trying to be like Lady Gaga. She added, “That’s just who I am. I was a theatre major; I studied theatre.” Nicki Minaj was recently praised by former X Factor contestant Cher Lloyd for being the only relevant female rapper. Nicki Minaj was recently confirmed to be playing this year’s V Festival.

Former X Factor wannabe Cher Lloyd has revealed how she believes that Nicki Minaj is the only female rapper that has any real credibility. Cher made a name for herself on The X Factor by putting the occasional rap into her songs and clearly fancies herself as a bit of a rapper, so Nicki Minaj would be the sort of artist that she would aspire to be.

Lloyd explained, “I love the way she did a mixtape, and it sold like crazy. Because she¹s amazing. Then she went on to do an album, and that went crazy, and she really blew up. And I just think between that time she didn’t change at all. She was still massively credible. And she’s a female rap artist that’s done insanely well. In my eyes, she’s the only one.” Cher also admitted that she would love to do a duet with country legend Dolly Parton.

She added, “I’d do anything to just get on stage with her. To just do a bit of Jolene, or just anything. I love her.” Cher Lloyd has recently been upsetting a number of fellow artists including her former X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole, who she claimed could not sing live. However, Cher has since apologised to Cheryl for her comments.

Cher Lloyd talks marriage

Former X Factor wannabe Cher Lloyd has revealed how she would already be married if she had not been so successful on the back of The X Factor. Cher has come in for some criticism from some corners, who claim that she has gotten engaged far too young but the 18 year old insists that she is not affected by the negative comments because she is so in love with her fiancé Craig.

Lloyd explained, “People are negative no matter what you do. People are always going to say ‘She’s too young!’ It’s just a constant criticising. I’m from a Gypsy background! I’m meant to be married by now. I’m 18 years old. I know I’ve got my whole life ahead of me, but why not get hitched now?”

She added, “I’m happy, really happy. I love him to pieces, more than anything in the world, but I don’t want people to take that away from me.” Cher Lloyd has recently upset a number of people, who all seem to be associated with The X Factor. Cher Lloyd has a war of words with Cheryl Cole, before apologising to her mentor and also had a pop at last year’s X Factor runner up Marcus Collins, causing the singer to respond to her negative comments.

Cher Lloyd discusses her rise to fame

Former X Factor wannabe Cher Lloyd has been discussing how she dealt with her sudden rise to fame, thanks to her appearance on the ITV singing competition. Cher claims that she has learnt a lot since she first came onto the scene and admits that there are a number of things that she would probably do differently if she could go back.

Lloyd explained, “I was very stubborn back then. I put up a guard and I didn’t want anyone to come near me. I was overwhelmed by the amount of people who showed interest in me. So I was a bitch, a real bitch. Knowing what I know now, I would’ve dealt with situations a lot more calmer.”

She added, “I was just so angry and frustrated that people had taken my life off of me, even though I had gone on the show. I went through absolute stress and mayhem. I couldn’t go out, because people were constantly on my back all the time. I just felt like I was doing something I loved, but there was another part of it that I absolutely hated.” Cher Lloyd recently appeared to criticise her X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole but has since apologised.
Marcus Collins responds to Cher Lloyd comments

It seems that it does not matter what season of The X Factor you are on, you are always going to bump heads with another former X Factor wannabe and that is exactly what has happened to Marcus Collins. Marcus released his cover of The White Stripes track Seven Nation Army as his first single and his decision to release a cover did not go down to well with Cher Lloyd.

Collins explained, “Everyone had their opinions on it and Cher’s opinion was just a little bit strong and I thought that maybe because she’d been in this situation that she’d know how difficult it is and how important it is. She said why hasn’t he been in the studio writing? I have, I’ve written three quarters of the album and all of those originals are the best of an even bigger amount of originals that we’ve done.”

He added, “I’ve got my favourite one lined up if it goes well and I get to do a second single. I know what I want to do and it’s an original.” It seems that Cher Lloyd is trying to make as many enemies in the music industry as she can, as she recently criticised her X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole for her inability to sing live. However she has since back tracked and issued an apology to the Girl’s Aloud star.
Cher Lloyd ends Cheryl Cole war of words
Cher Lloyd ends Cheryl Cole war of words

Earlier this week, it seemed like former X Factor wannabe Cher Lloyd and her former X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole were getting involved in a serious war of words. It started when Cher questioned Cheryl’s ability to sing live, so Cheryl hit back stating that Cher should be careful who she offends. Now Cher Lloyd has ended the war of words and made an apology to Cheryl.

Lloyd explained, “Basically I said something on radio which I shouldn’t have said and it wasn’t intended to sound as bad as it did. I wasn’t doing that, all I was saying is I would love to perform with her and I made a little joke about only if she sang live. I think it all got blown out of proportion. I just want to say sorry to her if she found that offensive. But at the end of the day, she is the person who got me to where I am today.”

She added, “Being young is not an excuse, I should still be on top of it. I’m in the public eye now, so word vomit is not good!” Cher Lloyd recently signed to LA Reid’s record label Epic Records and is currently work on her second album, which is expected to be released later this year.
