Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum reveal 21 Jump Street love

21 Jump Street actors Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum have revealed to The Score Card Review how they developed a very strong bond during the making of the movie. Jonah admitted that you have to care about your co star in a buddy movie, while Channing praised Jonah for being so caring.

Hill explained, “Movies like this live or die on whether you believe these two people care about one another. All of the great cop movies feel like the partners want the best for the other one. Our friendship in the film is really tested and put back together. I think that exists because we get along really well in real life, and we’re good actors. I like to let it speak for itself.”

Tatum then added, “I really respect Jonah. You have to respect somebody you really get along with. He’s one of the most creative people, and one of the smartest, that I’ve ever been around. He just cares.”

He continued, “There are a lot of people who are driven, and only worry about success. That’s not Jonah. He is successful because he cares. He cares about what he’s doing and the people around him. He’s one of the coolest people I’ve ever met.”

21 Jump Street is out now in both the US and the UK.

Jonah Hill reveals fear of guns

21 Jump Street actor Jonah Hill has revealed how he has a fear of guns being used on set. Jonah plays an undercover cop in the big screen adaptation of 21 Jump Street and admitted that he found the whole gun element a bit of a challenge.

Hill explained, “I had a problem with that because there’s this guy on set whose job it is to give you a gun, right? It’s a real gun and I hadn’t been around guns before. I was like, ‘It better not be loaded because I don’t wanna die and I don’t want any of my actors or anyone on the set to die’.”

The 28 year old actor first became involved in the movie 21 Jump Street when he was just 23 years old. He has admitted that, while he has spent the majority of his twenties on the movie, he would not be against doing a sequel in the future.

Jonah added, “Most of my twenties have been spent thinking about this movie in some capacity. I’m just really glad that the movie’s good because otherwise it would have been a waste of my entire twenties.”

21 Jump Street also stars Channing Tatum and is out now in both the US and the UK.

Jonah Hill weight loss makes him proud

Hollywood actor Jonah Hill has revealed to Herald how he is proud of himself for managing to lose so much weight, as he now feels much healthier for it. Jonah also admitted that he believes that he will be able to attract a number of different roles with his new skinny look.

Hill explained, “It was important to me, not just because of my health, but also, as an actor, you want to be able to cover a range of roles. Being a chubby guy, I realised I was probably going to keep getting chubby guy roles… They’re usually comedic roles too. So, the weight loss will hopefully change that.”

He added, “I want to make more movies like Moneyball, right alongside movies like 21 Jump Street. I want to prove to the world that you don’t have to be fat to be funny. It helps, of course, but it’s not crucial.”

Jonah Hill can currently be seen on the big screen, starring alongside Channing Tatum, in the movie 21 Jump Street, which is set to be released in both the US and the UK tomorrow (Friday, March 16).

Jonah Hill has revealed how he rejected the opportunity to be involved in the big screen adaptation of 21 Jump Street, before being persuaded that it would be a good idea. Jonah ended up writing and starring in the movie alongside Channing Tatum.

Hill explained, “When they approached me to do it five years ago, I tend to roll my eyes like everybody else would when you hear about a television show being made into a movie and you kind of think this seems like a corporate cash-grab or whatever, just to play on something that was popular a long time ago.”

He added, “We make [a] joke in the movie three minutes into the film, saying like, ‘Hey, we get what you’re thinking’, and we’re going to call it out before you can and show you that it’s a way better movie than you think you’re about to see.”

Jonah continued, “For us, it was just about if you could go back and relive the most important period of your youth thinking you have all the answers and getting back there and you think you have it wrong, that’s a cool idea for a film. That’s kind of the reason why I did it.”

Jonah Hill can be seen starring alongside Channing Tatum in the movie 21 Jump Street, which is released on March 16 in both the US and the UK.

Many of you may have already seen Jonah Hill playing the role of Peter Brand in Moneyball and those of you who have yet to see the movie should really give it a watch. Jonah has revealed how he did not have to audition for his role in Moneyball and that he simply showed director Bennett Miller a copy of his movie Cyrus, which won him the role.

Hill explained, “I didn’t audition. I showed Bennett Cyrus before it came out and that’s what they cast me from. You know I was at the bottom of a list of actors who weren’t known for their dramatic work.” He then went on to say, “I knew Bennett socially and he knew I was eager to break out of whatever box I was in. As a respected filmmaker he wanted to make an unsuspecting choice.”

Channing Tatum talks The Vow knitwear

Hollywood actor Channing Tatum has revealed how he was quite impressed with some of the knitwear that his character had to wear in his latest movie The Vow. Channing claims that he believes that the movies director Michael Sucsy went out of his way to pick sweaters that he liked, so that he could keep them once the film had wrapped.

Tatum explained, “I wish I could say that was my choice, those were my character choices. I’m pretty sure that Michael Sucsy, the director, just went out and looked at all the different sweaters that he wanted for himself and then put me in them, so that he could have them at the end, we’re about the same size.”

He added, “Then he sends me a Christmas card and he’s wearing my sweater from the movie.” Channing Tatum and his The Vow co star Rachel McAdams recently revealed what it is that they love about London, after visiting the English capital to promote The Vow. The Vow actress Rachel McAdams has revealed how she is very proud of the recognition that the movie Midnight in Paris has been receiving, as everybody worked so hard to make the film the success that it has become. Rachel appears in Midnight in Paris with Wedding Crashers actor Owen Wilson and the movie was directed by Woody Allen, someone who Rachel had only good words for.

McAdams explained, “You never know how these things will go. Reading the script, I loved the sentiment. I loved this idea of Golden Age thinking and that maybe we should just celebrate the time we’re in rather than wishing we were somewhere else. Woody continues to communicate truths about life in such a funny and wonderful way that not all of us can articulate. I love that people responded to this film.”

Rachel McAdams also wished Woody Allen and everybody else involved in Midnight in Paris luck, as the movie is nominated for four Oscars at this year’s Academy Awards. Channing has developed a soft spot for the English pubs, while Rachel McAdams seems to have developed a stalking habit.

I haven’t been yet to, like a proper, like London pub since I’ve been here but I hope to do that before I leave.” Rachel then revealed how she has developed a love for simply watching people as they go about their daily business.

She added, “I’ve actually been here for a while. I just really love walking around the city and now I learned how to take the subway. I love getting on the top of the double-decker bus and watching people. It’s a great people watcher.” Seems a bit strange to us but each to their own. Channing Tatum selects his movie roles wisely
Channing Tatum selects his movie roles wisely

Channing Tatum has revealed that he is very wise in how he goes about selecting his movie roles, as he aims to learn from those who are involved with the movies that he choose to be a part of. Channing also admitted that he wants to be producing all of his own movies and that he hopes to eventually make the step up and begin directing his own films.

Tatum explained, “You gotta do the Dear Johns. You gotta do The Vow. I’m conscious about why I did those parts, those movies. I wanted to learn from Rachel McAdams on The Vow. I wanted to learn from Lasse Hallstrom on Dear John, he did The Cider House Rules and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. I didn’t go to acting school, so my knowledge of story, filmmaking, and character comes from just being on set and doing it. I know I’m not the best actor, but I hope my characters are getting better.”

He added, “I really don’t want to be in any more movies that I don’t produce. Unless it’s with one of the 10 directors that I really want to work with, I don’t have any interest in not being on the ground floor of creating it. But what I really want to do is direct.” You can see Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams in The Vow, which is set to be released in both the US and the UK on February 10.
Rachel McAdams gives dating advice
Rachel McAdams gives dating advice

Sexy Hollywood actress Rachel McAdams has revealed how she never dates any of her co-stars while they are working on a movie together, as it rarely has a positive effect on set. However, Rachel does admit that once the filming process is out of the way and she and her fellow co-stars are off around the world promoting the film, then it is possible that romance can often find its way.

McAdams explained, “A set may seem like a good place for romance, but I don’t think it’s very conducive. It’s too distracting. Every relationship I’ve had with a co-worker has come after the fact, because you wind up actually spending a lot of time with those people promoting the movie.”

Rachel McAdams is currently dating British actor Michael Sheen, who she first met on the set of their movie Midnight in Paris and the two began dating shortly after. You can next see Rachel McAdams on the big screen when she appears alongside Channing Tatum, in the Michael Sucsy movie The Vow, which is set to be released on February 10, 2012 in both the US and the UK.
