Demi Lovato Denies Dating Niall Horan & Gushes About Britney Spears
Demi Lovato Denies Dating Niall Horan & Gushes About Britney Spears

Demi Lovato and One Direction's Niall Horan are still not dating according to the X Factor US judge, who is once again shutting down rumors that she’s seeing the Irish heartthrob.

“No, I’m not [with him]. He’s really sweet and he’s one of my really good friends now. But I’m single at the moment,” she said in a backstage interview she filmed during X Factor auditions.

Demi continued: “And I plan to be for a long time because I need to focus on my career and myself and my well-being before I think about getting in a relationship with anyone.” Poor Niall!

Demi also spoke about another new man in her life, X Factor boss Simon Cowell: “Everyone’s really great, except Simon. No, we have fun together and he does tease me, a lot. But, I give it back to him. I don’t mind. He’s sometimes not very nice to me, but I have fun with him.”

When asked about fellow judge Britney Spears, Demi had only good things to say about her: “I grew up listening to her,” she said. “So it’s really awesome to be able to sit next to her on the panel.”

Britney returned the compliment, saying: “The same for her, too, I totally admire her work and everything that she’s done.”

Demi also opened up about the challenges of having to judge fellow singers: “I mean, one, I definitely didn’t think that it would be this challenging because saying no to people is really hard and emotionally it kind of messes with you a little bit ‘cause you don’t want to say no to some people, and then some people you’re torn and you know in the back of your mind that if you say no, what if that was their only shot and you let them go when they weren’t really that bad?”

Demi continued: “It’s just really confusing. But it is everything that I expected and more, with having fun and just bonding with the cast and everything. Like, everyone’s so sweet and awesome and the crew’s amazing, so I’m having a lot of fun.”

Simon Cowell: Was Hiring Britney Spears For The X Factor A Big Mistake?
Simon Cowell: Was Hiring Britney Spears For The X Factor A Big Mistake?

Simon Cowell is reportedly concerned that his hiring of Britney Spears on The X Factor was a big mistake.

The pop singer recently joined the coveted judging panel of TV talent show, The X Factor US, on a highly publicised multimillion dollar contract. She holds the high profile post alongside Demi Lovato and returning stars Simon and L.A. Reid.

Britney sparked controversy for walking off set on her first day on the job last week, leaving an empty judging seat for over four contestant performances.

Although it is rumoured that Simon sanctioned such break allowances in Britney’s original deal, it is now said that the producer and music mogul regrets his decision.

“He wonders if hiring her was a mistake,” a source told Us Weekly magazine.

Simon, who is infamous for his harsh and sometimes cruel critiques, is also apparently shocked with Britney’s kind judging approach.

“[Britney] always said nice things, even telling one mediocre singer he could be ‘bigger than Justin Bieber.’ Simon was shocked!” the insider revealed.

Simon is considering how Britney will fare on the air later in the season, particularly in the live shows.

“I don’t know how she’s going to handle the live shows!” the source said.

The squabbles between the judges and their categories are yet to commence, but Britney Spears is already showing rival X Factor judge, Demi Lovato, that when it comes to the fashion stakes, she’s a clear winner.

As the line-up for the second series of the reality show was unveiled today, it seems the mother-of-two couldn’t decided which dress to wear, so opted for two to maximise column inches. During today’s photocall in New York, Britney posed in a figure-hugging strappy white dress with Demi, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid for an intimate snap which she later tweeted online.

However, during the official snaps taken against the backdrop of a Fox curtain, the Crossroads actress had changed into a slick burgundy frock as she posed next to head judge Simon Cowell. Demi, on the other hand, was seen wearing the same dress in both photos.

Today, Britney, 30, was officially announced as a judge along with Disney star Demi, 19. Simon could barely hide his delight, tweeting: ‘Can’t believe it’s finally happened. Very exciting!’

While no details as to how much Demi’s contract is worth, Britney is thought to have negotiated a $15 million pay packet to be a panellist on the show. Britney and Demi will replace Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger - who were axed after poor ratings on last year’s debut series - sitting alongside show boss Simon and music executive L.A.

The Baby One More Time star said: ‘I am so excited about this whole experience. It’s gonna be so much fun and so different from anything I’ve ever done and I’m ready to find the true star.’

Clearly excited, Demi added: ‘I am totally stoked to be here.’

Britney said in a statement: ‘I couldn’t be more excited to join The X Factor judging panel. I’m a huge fan of the show and now I get to be a part of the action. Simon and L.A. better watch out.’

Shortly before the official announcement, Britney tweeted her picture of herself with her fellow judges, captioning it: “#britneyxfactor #SimonBritneyDemiLA”

A new host for the show has yet to be announced after Steve Jones was axed after just one series.

Britney is rumoured to be closing in on a deal to sign a $15million contract to join the judging panel of X Factor USA, it has been claimed. According to TMZ.com, Britney will soon be finalising her contract for the show, after her team work out the ‘fine points’ of the deal.

Once the contract has been agreed, it has to be approved by Britney’s father Jamie, who is also her conservator, before being approved by the judge who ‘oversees the conservatorship’.

However, a source told the gossip website that it is a ‘virtual certainty’ that the deal will go ahead. The report came after X Factor boss Simon Cowell admitted yesterday that he was desperate to have Britney join him and L.A. Reid on the panel for the new show, after Paula Abdul and Nicole Sherzinger were not asked to return as judges.

Talking to TMZ.com, Simon admitted he could not reveal too much about the negotiations, but did say that he is expecting to hear back from the Toxic singer’s people within the week. There has been a lot of discussion about who the two new female judges are likely to be on the new season of The X Factor USA. One of the names that keeps on popping up is Britney Spears but a few weeks ago it seemed as though Britney had priced herself out of the running.

However, a source who is said to be close to the involvement of the negotiations has told Deadline that Britney Spears and Simon Cowell have come ever close to an agreement. It is believed that Britney will earn $15m to be the new judge on The X Factor USA, which surpasses the $12m earned by Jennifer Lopez on American Idol.
While there is still another judge to be signed on for the second season of The X Factor USA, it is believed that Simon Cowell and his team have focussed all of their efforts on getting Britney Spears to sign up for the show.
Some of the other names linked to The X Factor USA judging panel are Black Eyed Peas star Fergie, who has denied being interested in the role, and LeAnn Rimes, who is believed to have had preliminary talks with the producers of the show.
The X Factor USA season two is set to air on Fox in September.
Rihanna bald in new hair style extravaganza

Rihanna has never been one to shy away from expressing herself through her hair styles and it seems that the singer is at it again. It was only recently that Rihanna decided to go blonde but she has already decided to change her hair style yet again.

A source has revealed that Rihanna has decided to go all Britney Spears on us, by shaving off all of her hair. It is believed that the new crazy hair choice is an attempt to get people to stop talking about her body and get them to focus on something else.
The source explained, “As much as Rihanna claims to love the whole naked thing, she actually feels that it has gotten a little out of hand and has decided to do something about it. Believe it or not, she has pulled a Britney and shaved all of her hair off.”
Despite regularly changing her hairstyle, Rihanna has always managed to look beautiful and it will be interesting to see if she can maintain that beauty with a skin head. As of yet, no pictures of Rihanna bald have been released but she is expected to sport the new look soon.

The X Factor USA star Marcus Canty shocked by Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul sacking

Former The X Factor USA contestant Marcus Canty has revealed how he was shocked when he learnt that judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul had been sacked. Marcus claims that he felt they were possibly the most honest of the judges.

Canty explained to MTV News, “I actually was kind of surprised [they left]. I thought it was a lot of drama on the show with Paula and Nicole, but they were so nice.”
He added, “I feel like Paula was honest. I feel like Nicole was honest - even in certain situations on the show that they got into, with me and Rachel [Crow] and at one point, me and Drew [Ryniewicz]. If I was in that situation, I probably wouldn’t know what to do.” He then reacted to the news of Britney Spears being lined up as a possible replacement.
Marcus continued, “Oh wow, I haven’t heard that one. Britney Spears, wow. That should be interesting. Britney Spears can be my mentor because, first of all, I was the entertainer. I know she would give me that pop I need. That’s definitely a great fit.”
Marcus Canty is currently signed to LA Reid's Epic Records.

Simon Cowell discusses Britney Spears The X Factor USA role

The X Factor USA creator Simon Cowell has spoken about the possibility of Britney Spears becoming the new judge on the hit Fox show. Simon admitted that he could not currently give any real information away.

Cowell explained, “You’ll have to wait and see… I can’t confirm or deny anything right now. The truth is, we are talking to a number of people. It changes on a daily basis, to be honest with you.” However, he did admit that he had been contacted by both a very famous singer and a famous actress.
Simon then went on to reveal one of the key reasons behind the decision to replace last season’s host of The X Factor USA, Steve Jones. Cowell claimed that he felt there were too many Brits on the American show.
He added, “With the host, too many Brits on the show, if I’m being honest with you. One Brit allowed. I always wanted a boy and a girl to host the show. And I like hosts who don’t kind of have a hosting background, you know. I like them when they’ve done acting and stuff like that. It’s a different kind of dynamic.”

Britney Spears is better than Christina Aguilera claims Wendy Williams
Britney Spears is better than Christina Aguilera claims Wendy Williams

Talk show host Wendy Williams has claimed that she believes Britney Spears was right to demand $20 million to become the new judge on The X Factor USA. Wendy compared some of the judges of rival reality television singing competitions and how much they get paid, claiming that Britney should receive more.

Williams explained, “[Britney] has been allegedly offered $10 million (£6.4 million) to be a judge on X Factor, which is an absolute insult… to her. She turned it down because she wanted $20 million (£12.8 million) - good for you, Britney! It’s insulting.”
She added, “You know why it’s insulting? Because Jennifer Lopez is making $15 million (£9.6 million) on her show, Christina Aguilera makes $10 million… and Christina, I love you, take this the best way, but you are not the star that Britney is. You’re just not.”
Wendy continued, “I just feel like Britney Spears is like Bambi - everybody loves her, we’ve all seen her journey… people love Britney. Britney sells out concerts. Britney sells records.” Also, Simon Cowell is looking for someone to sign up to The X Factor USA for two years but Britney Spears wants a get out clause after one year.

The X Factor USA judges update
The X Factor USA judges update

It appears that The X Factor USA could be getting close to finalising a deal for one of the empty judges seats, while the other is also getting closer to being filled. The first seat looks almost certain to go to singer Britney Spears, who is believed to be in the final negotiations for the seat.

It has been claimed by Deadline, that Britney Spears has been offered a staggering $10m to be the new judge on The X Factor USA and it is believed that she is close to signing up for the show. It is believed that things are going so well that an announcement will be made next week, revealing Britney Spears as the new judge on The X Factor USA.
The second person who is looking ever more likely to being signed up, is singer LeAnn Rimes, who has been linked to the job for quite some time now. It is believed that LeAnn spent several hours in meetings with X Factor chief Nigel Lythgoe and talks are thought to have gone very well.
If Britney Spears and LeAnn Rimes are named as the new judges on The X Factor USA, it will certainly make for a strong and experienced line up. Then Simon Cowell will need to turn his attention to The X Factor UK and get those judges all in place for the new season.
