Oscars 2012 reveals Best Original Score and Best Original Song winners

The return from the ad breaks at the Oscars 2012 saw Billy Crystal back on the stage, as he went through a few of the famous faces in the crowd, including Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman and Martin Scorsese and made a few jokes about them. The Oscars 2012 then saw Penelope Cruz and Owen Wilson take to the stage to present the next Oscar of the evening.

Owen Wilson and Penelope Cruz introduced the nominees for Best Original Score and, while there was quite a strong field of nominees, it was no real surprise when Penelope Cruz revealed that the winner was Ludovic Bource for The Artist. It is his first ever Oscar nomination for him and therefore his first ever win.
 
While reading his speech that he had written, Ludovic managed to drop it before going on to make his thanks. Next to the stage was Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, who approached the stage playing symbols before cracking some impressive jokes, with Zach mocking his own name. They introduced the nominees for Best Original Song.
 
The Oscar for Best Original Song went to Brett Mckenzie for Man or Muppet from The Muppets movie. Brett gave a few quick jokes before going on the thank the usual people that Oscar winners thank before leaving the stage to Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis clowning around a little more.
