Christopher Plummer wins Best Supporting Actor at Oscars 2012
The Best Supporting Actor Oscar was the next to be awarded with the nominees being introduced by Melissa Leo. The nominees included Kenneth Branagh for My Week with Marilyn, Jonah Hill for Moneyball, Nick Nolte for Warrior, Christopher Plummer for Beginners and Max Von Sydow for Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.
At the age of 82, Christopher Plummer becomes the oldest actor in the history of the Academy Awards to win an Oscar, as he bagged the Best Suppoting Actor Oscar. Christopher Plummer gave possibly the best acceptance speech of the night so far. He thanked his family, his friends and even his fellow nominees before going on to thank those involved in the movie.
Christopher Plummer was on top form, cracking jokes in between thanking the people that he feels have helped him get to where he is today and to win the Oscar for the Best Supporting Actor. He finished his speech by praising his wife for putting up with him for all of these years. The Oscars 2012 heads in to another ad break before we edge closer to the end of the awards.
