Oscars 2012: Film Editing, Sound Editing and Sound Mixing winners announced
The return from the ad breaks at the Oscars 2012 and Billy Crystal gives the audience another taste of his great since of humour, before going into another link. The link was a black and white tribute to The Wizard of Oz, with a number of stars discussing the classic movie. The 84th Annual Academy Awards are really getting going now and we are seriously into the big award territory.
Billy Crystal returned to the stage to introduce Tina Fey and Bradley Cooper who cracked a couple of jokes before announcing the nominees for the Film Editing Oscar. The winner was Kirk Baxter and Angus Wall for their work on The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The two guys thanked the usual suspects before leaving the stage to steady applause.
Tina Fey and Bradley Cooper stayed on the stage to present the award for Sound Editing, which saw Hugo win yet another award, as Eugene Gerty, and Phillip Stockton were given the Oscar for Sound Editing. The two men thanked Hugo director Martin Scorsese before reeling off a list of other names to thank.
Tina Fey and Bradley Cooper continued to dish out some Oscars, as they introduced the nominees for Sound Mixing. Hugo are beginning to dominate the Oscars 2012, as they win their fourth Oscar of the night. Tom Fleischman and John Midgley won the Oscar for Sound Mixing and both men were quite emotional before giving short speeches and thanks.
The 84th Academy Awards heads into another ad break before returning to see Hilary Swank give the Best Actor Oscar.
