Kellan Lutz compares being in Twilight to being in The Beatles
Kellan Lutz compares being in Twilight to being in The Beatles

Kellan Lutz has become a household name, thanks to his portrayal of Emmett Cullen in the hit vampire movie series Twilight. Kellan has now claimed that only a handful of people in the world can understand the experiences that being in Twilight can give you and even compared it to being in The Beatles.

Lutz told The Big Issue, “We’re not really goldfish in a bowl. I feel it’s like being a Beatle or someone of that calibre. Not many people can ever feel that feeling, to travel abroad and have people queue in line for a photo or an autograph.”

Meanwhile, Nikki Reed, who stars as Rosalie Hale in the Twilight films, added, “To have so many eyes on you gives me a lot of anxiety. It does not feel natural to have people trying to take pictures of you picking your nose. It’s hard to have perspective because we are so close to it and it’s also hard to find words to describe what it feels like.”

Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed are about to return to the big screen in their famous roles for the last of the Twilight movies, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, which is set to be released on November 16 in both the US and the UK.
Kirstie Alley wanted to marry ‘not gay’ John Travolta

Kirstie Alley wanted to marry ‘not gay’ John Travolta

Kirstie Alley was recently on 20/20 and told Barbara Walter that at one point, she wanted to marry John Travolta.  Promoting Dancing with the Stars, she was on the show to discuss her stint on the show, but the topic turned to her ‘Look Who’s Talking’ co-star Travolta.

Alley said, “I know John with all my heart and soul; he’s not gay. I think in some weird way, in Hollywood, if someone gets big enough and famous enough, and they’re not out doing drugs and they’re not womanizing, what do you say about them?”

Alley also called Travolta the “the greatest love of my life. It took everything I had inside, outside, whatever, to not run off and marry John and be with John for the rest of my life …I feel like when you marry someone, you’re supposed to work hard at it and you’re supposed to make it work.”

Of course, it’s become pretty common knowledge at this point that Travola is gay and just hasn’t openly talked about it to the public. However, Alley seems to be defending her co-star’s honor and privacy by saying that he has the right to say whatever he wants to.
Michael Bay talks Mark Wahlberg casting in Transformers universe

Michael Bay talks Mark Wahlberg casting in Transformers universe

There were rumors all over the internet last week about Mark Wahlberg reportedly getting cast in Transformers 4, despite no official reports or information released about.  In fact, the only connection between Mark Wahlberg and Transformers 4 at the time seemed to be that Wahlberg was acting in Michael Bay’s current action film, ‘Pain and Gain’.

However, Bay is opening up about these rumors and saying that they may have given him some ideas – a.k.a the internet may have singlehandedly cast Mark Wahlberg in Transformers 4.

In an open letter on his website, Bay wrote, “I squashed a rumor that was on the internet last week. It was about Mark Walhberg. Mark was rumored to be staring in Transformers 4. We are working on another movie together, not T4. I had such a great time working with Mark on Pain and Gain, and he gave such a great performance – well let’s say that very internet chatter gave me some ideas. We are at the inception of our story process right now on T4. Let’s say some ideas are gaining traction with me and my writer – so I’m here to say thanks internet chatter.”

Transformers 4 is currently being prepped for a summer 2014 release.
Kim Kardashian compares UK and US style
Kim Kardashian compares UK and US style

The Kardashian sisters are set to launch their Kardashian Kollection for Dorothy Perkins this week and Kim Kardashian has been comparing the style of people in the UK compared to those in the US. Kim claims that the British people are more chic and that they have tried to cater to that in their Kardashian Kollection.

Kardashian explained, “I would say the UK look is more… effortless, but more chic and we wanted to make sure we had pieces that go with that. We have different blouses, slouchier tops.” Kim then went on to claim that she and her sisters are still very down to earth women.

She added, “Yes, we are three girls that grew up in Beverly Hills. But people have seen in our show we have all worked hard, really hard, to get to where we are. We all had jobs working in stores since 16.”

The Kardashian Kollection is set to be launched in around 200 Dorothy Perkins stores today and the Kardashian sisters will be hoping to impress the UK public with their fashion pieces. Kim Kardashian has pointed out that her favourite particular piece from the Kardashian Kollection is a £35 sheer polka dot blouse.
The Inbetweeners sequel will not be rushed
The Inbetweeners sequel will not be rushed

Iain Morris and David Beesley, the masterminds behind the hit series The Inbetweeners, have revealed that they will not be rushed into pushing out an Inbetweeners movie sequel. They claim that progress on The Inbetweeners is coming along but they want to make sure it is perfect before moving forward with the project.

Morris told the Radio Times, “Inbetweeners fans are more discerning and vocal than people give them credit for. The last thing any of us wants is a cheap cash-in. At the moment the script is at version 0.5, so we’re getting close… but we’re not there yet.”

He added, “Because the film was genuinely independent, there’s no studio breathing down our neck. It’s down to us to write a script that we think is worth everyone’s time.” Meanwhile, Simon Bird, who plays Will in the show, admitted that he too is eager to shoot the Inbetweeners sequel.

Simon said, “[The cast] get on very well and we trust Iain and Damon. But they’d better hurry up, because I’m getting on for 30!” With that said, it is expected that the script will be completed and filming will begin on The Inbetweeners sequel next year, with a 2014 release.
Taylor Swift gives advice on boys and relationships

Taylor Swift gives advice on boys and relationships

Taylor Swift has a new interview with Twist Magazine, and in it she talks about relationships and boys.  Swift’s dating life has been in scrutiny lately as news of her reported break-up with Connor Kennedy became tabloid fodder.

However, the scrutiny in part comes from Swift’s own take on her relationships, especially through her songs.  By Swift’s own admittance, her songs are almost all written based on her relationships and boyfriends, and it’s easy for the fans and the general public alike to guess who the songs are about.

In the interview, Swift says that if there’s a major lesson that she’s learned about dating, it’s that you don’t let the boyfriend become your life.  You can prioritize them, but not to the extent that they’re all that matter.  She says, ““My advice about guys has to do with how you prioritize them. They can be a part of your life but never let the guy BE your life. They can live in your world, but never make the guy your world. Knowing who you are and being independent and strong will be attractive to the right guy. Trying too hard to impress a guy or putting him before your friends and family shows you’re not OK with who you are. One of my goals is always to be OK with who I am aside from love and boys.”
Mark Millar talks bringing Kick-Ass 2 to life
Mark Millar talks bringing Kick-Ass 2 to life

Mark Millar has been talking about the upcoming movie sequel Kick-Ass 2 and what goes into bringing the comic book character to life. Mark claims that it can be a very emotional experience and there can be little nods to the comic books, which can really please those in the know.

Millar explained to Comic Book Resources, “To give an example, the set designer has built the Justice Forever headquarters for the super team that Kick-Ass joins. He’s made the whole thing with such detail that there’s a part based on one line I’ve got in the comic where Russell is making a schedule, and he worked out a whole schedule of which of the heroes would be available when. It’s hanging up on a piece of paper in the kitchen of the headquarters along with a list of who likes cream and sugar in their coffee.”

He added, “It’s just all these tiny, tiny details you might not see in the film. They’re just in the background. John Romita was almost crying walking around the set! It looked just like his panels coming to life in front of him. It’s quite an emotional thing as crazy as that sounds.”

Kick-Ass 2 will see the return of Aaron Johnson as Kick-Ass, Chloe Moretz as Hit Girl and Nicolas Cage as Big Daddy. They will be joined by the likes of Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes and Lindy Booth as Night Bitch. Kick-Ass 2 is set to be released on June 28, 2013 in the US and then in the UK on July 19, 2013.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart call Stephenie Meyer ‘perverted’

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart call Stephenie Meyer ‘perverted’

In the yes/no show on MTV with Josh Horowitz [can be viewed here], the Twilight cast is asked a serious of joke questions in which they can only answer yes or no (although most of them break this rule and answer with more than a yes or no).

Horowitz moves on from the first few questions and asks Taylor Lautner first, “Between you and me, for a nice wholesome mom, isn’t Stephenie Meyer a little bit of a pervert?”  Taylor laughs hysterically and doesn’t answer and then says no, Jackson Rathbone and Nikki Reed just look at each other and don’t say anything, Robert Pattinson comes back with a resounding, “Oh, Yeah.”  Elizabeth Reaser says, “Yes.”  Kristen Stewart says, “I’m sorry Steph” and then winks.

Taylor is also asked if he’s ever read any Twilight fan fiction and he answers with a no.  Kellan Lutz says, “Isn’t that 50 shades of grey?  Isn’t that one of them?” Rob also adds he’s read a bit of the Fifty Shades of Grey before it became ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, when it was originally called ‘Masters of the Universe’.  This, of course, is common knowledge for most Twilight fans, and was often considered one of the more popular versions of Twilight fan fiction before it officially became ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.
Does Angelina Jolie still have a crush on ex Jonny Lee Miller?

Does Angelina Jolie still have a crush on ex Jonny Lee Miller?

We know about Angelina Jolie’s sordid history with ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller, even though both of them are now happily married to different partners.  Now, the National Enquirer is reporting that Jolie is still interested in Miller, and even ignored the no Tivo rule in her household to record Miller’s latest show ‘Elementary’.

Not only did she record the show, but she apparently also had her children all watch. The enquirer’s source says, “Her daughters Zahara and Shiloh have a crush on Jonny, and Angelina’s boys think the show is cool too. Of course, when Brad found out their kids were fans of Jonny’s show, it made him even more furious!”

Even though Jolie is reportedly now on civil terms with her ex-husband, who she separated from in 1997 after a year of marriage due to a rocky relationship, Pitt is said not to be happy about her getting involved in watching Elementary.  The source added, “It took some swift talking on Angelina’s part, but she was eventually able to calm Brad down. She reassured him that her heart belongs to him and that Jonny isn’t a threat to their relationship.”

All of this seems to be a tad unrealistic, as it seems unlikely that Pitt would even care that Jolie chose to watch ‘Elementary’, and much less that Miller was even the star of the show.
Arnold Schwarzenegger discusses his favourite ever characters
Arnold Schwarzenegger discusses his favourite ever characters

Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger has been in the movie industry for many years now and has played a number of memorable characters in that time. Now, ahead of his new movie The Last Stand, Arnold Schwarzenegger has been discussing a few of his favourite characters that he has ever played.

Schwarzenegger explained to Collider, “No, because there are a few characters, Twins or Kindergarten Cop or True Lies or Predator, those characters are very memorable characters. They’re interesting characters. I could never pick one over the other. How could you pick the Twins character over the True Lies character? Which one is better? I don’t think there’s such a thing. Both are very entertaining in the way they were directed and written and how I tried to play it out.”

He added, “Whatever character it is, you have to always show some humanity and a little twinkle of being able to step back and have fun with it and make fun of yourself a little bit and not to take it too seriously. Some people picked up on that over the years, that my films always have…I’ve always tried to put this extra thing in the movie, some of myself in there. Making fun of the character, even though maybe it was an intense movie, but it’s something they’ll like rather than trying to be too serious all the time.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to appear in the Jee-woon Kim movie The Last Stand when it is released on January 18, 2013 in the USa before being released in the UK on January 25, 2013.

Fan support for Josh Hutcherson to play Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode 7

Fan support for Josh Hutcherson to play Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode 7

Josh Hutcherson is already a household name thanks to his roles in two huge franchises: Journey [to the Center of the Earth and to the Mysterious Island] as well as the Hunger Games.  Of course, most people know him as Peeta Mellark from Hunger Games, but will that help him gain another huge franchise: Star Wars?

Clevver TV has a new video up fancasting Hutcherson as Luke Skywalker in the next movie, which will be released in 2015.  Of course, we know next to nothing about the story at this point, except that it will take place after the sixth movie and will be featuring a completely original movie.  If they are indeed keeping the same characters from the original trilogy, and it’s soon after Episode 7, they’ll have to cast actors approximately the same age to what the actors were at the time of ‘Return of the Jedi’.  That shouldn’t prove to be too difficult, but the problem with Hutcherson is that he is still much too young to play Luke Skywalker after ‘Return of the Jedi’.

Right now, Hutcherson is 20 years old – in 2015, he will be 23.  This is still much younger than what Hamill was when he played Luke in Episode 6.  It would be fine if Hutcherson looked older, but he still looks his age [which incidentally, is not a problem his co-star Jennifer Lawrence has since she plays a 16 year old in the Hunger Games and then plays a late 20s widow in Silver Linings Playbook].

Overall, if Hutcherson were to be cast as Luke, they would have to do some serious explaining to why Luke de-aged between the sixth and seventh movie.  Or they could just not explain it – after all, Hutcherson is a huge draw at this point thanks to his rising popularity.  It wouldn’t be out of the question that they cast him and ignore the age problems.  It wouldn’t be the first time Hollywood did it.
Daniel Craig talks James Bond one liners
Daniel Craig talks James Bond one liners

Daniel Craig is currently enjoying the adulation of the James Bond fans around the world, as Skyfall is proving to be one of the best Bond movies yet. However, Daniel has admitted that he felt he had to earn the right to use classic James Bond one liners such as “shaken not stirred” and “Bond, James Bond”.

Craig told Collider, “I just felt that given the great opportunity to do Casino, which the conceit was that we’re discovering the character, that we couldn’t just cram in the old gags. It would’ve felt wrong, and I was not trying to copy anybody who’d come before. They did it so well, and I didn’t want to be that person. I wanted to be me in this.

He added, “But it’s always been a plan. It’s always been somewhere we’ve wanted to get to, and to try to put them back into the movie in an original, fresh way was just the only issue and the thing Sam and I spoke at length about, because we wanted to make a Bond movie. Eventually, a Bond movie is a Bond movie because of those things. I don’t know if I’ve earned it or not yet.”

Daniel Craig recently joked that he has wanted to quit the James Bond franchise from the very moment that he agreed to play the character. Skyfall is currently proving to be a huge success at the box office, grossing close to $300m already, without including the US.
